I love these lights! The ones I ordered before didn't come with the right angle plugs. They must have updated them, I'm jealous. BTW you can lock your diffuser in by lifting the textured tabs directly away from the light body. It's kinda weird

Tonight, I just ordered two of the RGB versions that usually sell for $179...but there was a flash sale at $139. However, I got a kit with the table mounts, not regular stands, because I’ll be working in a tight space. (Plus, I have stands in my closet, I’m sure.)
It’s generally agreed that the supplied diffuser is basically worthless. It just prevents your shadows from consisting of 480 dots. However, I’m not really anxious to spend 80 bucks right now on two of their soft boxes, so I’m going to play around just draping some material directly over the panel or secured to the barn doors (thin cloth, tracing paper, etc.) to see how it softens up.
