Lovebites are my favourite and the best heavy/power/thrash metal band I've heard since the 1980's where they take their influence from, they put their own signature on their music with more uplifting and positive lyrics. These Metal Princesses dress in white outfits because they believe they can still be feminine and play this type of music as opposed to the stereotypical looks and lyrics of the genre. They declare "we're not here to be cute, we're here to play heavy metal" and they're damned impressive and exceptionally talented ladies. Haruna(drums) and Miho(bass) were members of another band called Destrose who disbanded in 2015, they recruited Midori & Miyako and after hearing a demo tape of Asami they invited her to audition thinking her voice fitted well with the band, during a rehearsal they performed a song called Love Bites(So do I) by Halestorm and thought it was such a success they decided to name the band after it . Miyako(black hair) trained as a classical pianist from the age of 3 and took up guitar aged 18, she is self taught from books and watching top guitarists, she composes most of the music and co-writes a lot of the lyrics. Midori(blonde hair) played piano and electric organ before taking up the guitar aged 20, she is a graduate of the Musicians Institute Osaka, Japan. Asami attended ballet school for more than a decade and turned to music because she was too small for ballet, was an R&B singer influenced by Aretha Franklyn & Alicia Keys before trying metal when she went for an audition for the band, she also plays piano and co-writes. After many auditions Fami aged 20 was chosen to replace Miho on Bass who left for personal reasons after her father passed away, has written & recorded several songs of her own with a youtube following of over 650,000 subs. I've seen them live twice here in England, once with Miho on bass and the other with Fami, they're NOT just an "ordinary" metal band🤘🤘

So far the band has already released 4 full length studio albums, 4 EPs, a best of compilation and a bunch of live albums, available on CD/DVD/Blu-ray. In 2018 LOVEBITES won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band. LOVEBITES have toured in Europe back in 2018/2019 and also recently in 2024. They also played their first US shows this year in September. In 2021 the band went into a hiatus, because founder and bassist Miho quit the band for personal reasons. Oh, fun facts - Miyako, 1st solo, didn't pick up the guitar until she was 18yo, self taught - No Pro Lessons. Midori, 2nd solo, didn't seriously begin on the guitar until she was 20yo. I am a Japanese heavy metal fan. As you can see from the number of views, I feel that Lovebites is the band that core orthodox heavy metal fans will continue to have high expectations for. It's not because they're women, which is boring. It's because of the high musicality of each individual and the band, their ability to create songs, their technical skills, and the amount of energy they have. All of the members are top-level musicians in Japan. Fans say, "The album is good, but the live performance is even better." Well, if you like Lovebites, there are still more than 60 amazing songs, and not a single boring one. Please take your time and enjoy. Sorry for my poor English.
Suggestion for Next - "Hammer of Wrath". Mind-Blowing and the debut of Fami as their bassist, they showcase her. Miho, bassist & band founder with Haruna, Drums left the band for personal reasons at the beginning of covid in Japan.

I see it the same way, Asami (vocals - with an R&B background, not opera, you'll have to listen to Simone Simons from Epica or Floor Jansen from Nightwish - both Dutch), whether Miyako or Midori, M&M is in the house, don't worry, there will be unbelievably wonderful guitar music, with Miyako there could also be piano or synthesizer music on top. Although all 5 of them probably had piano lessons in their very early teens. But let's not forget the youngster (the new one) in the band, Fami, an absolutely good bassist and only such a person could ultimately succeed Miho (the former bassist and co-founder of Lovebites) - both women are experts on the bass! But who ultimately sets the pace in the band? Exactly, let's get to the unique, incredible, in my opinion, best female or male drummer in rock history, let's get to Haruna, the rather shy, withdrawn "little big engine" on the drums - no beat is too fast, no song is too difficult - a small person who provides the Lovebites musicians with a steely backbone. This band is absolutely the spearhead of modern power metal worldwide!

10 is a moderate guess. "Holy War" is an excellent introduction song, but I'd say, almost half of the other songs are as good as this. And more importantly, the rest is "almost as good", as there are no bad songs. And every song has its little surprise in it...
The best guitar duo on this planet today - bar none. Supported by a tiny, monstrous, human drum machine, a female Bruce Dickinson and a superb bassist, no matter which of the two you choose (Miho here left in 2021 and was replaced by the insanely talented and still very young Fami).

I'd say that it is a toss up between Miyako & Midori, and Marty Friedman & Jason Becker from late 1980s band Cacophony for the best metal guitar duo of all time.

However, it's mostly not easy to measure at all! And some of the licks and fills may always be faster than that!

Lovebites are my favourite and the best heavy/power/thrash metal band I've heard since the 1980's where they take their influence from, they put their own signature on their music with more uplifting and positive lyrics. These Metal Princesses dress in white outfits because they believe they can still be feminine and play this type of music as opposed to the stereotypical looks and lyrics of the genre. They declare "we're not here to be cute, we're here to play heavy metal" and they're damned impressive and exceptionally talented ladies. Haruna(drums) and Miho(bass) were members of another band called Destrose who disbanded in 2015, they recruited Midori & Miyako and after hearing a demo tape of Asami they invited her to audition thinking her voice fitted well with the band, during a rehearsal they performed a song called Love Bites(So do I) by Halestorm and thought it was such a success they decided to name the band after it . Miyako(black hair) trained as a classical pianist from the age of 3 and took up guitar aged 18, she is self taught from books and watching top guitarists, she composes most of the music and co-writes a lot of the lyrics. Midori(blonde hair) played piano and electric organ before taking up the guitar aged 20, she is a graduate of the Musicians Institute Osaka, Japan. Asami attended ballet school for more than a decade and turned to music because she was too small for ballet, was an R&B singer influenced by Aretha Franklyn & Alicia Keys before trying metal when she went for an audition for the band, she also plays piano and co-writes. After many auditions Fami aged 20 was chosen to replace Miho on Bass who left for personal reasons after her father passed away, has written & recorded several songs of her own with a youtube following of over 650,000 subs. I've seen them live twice here in England, once with Miho on bass and the other with Fami, they're NOT just an "ordinary" metal band🤘🤘

Here some information about my favorite band:
LOVEBITES was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album both were released in 2017. So far the band has already released 4 full length studio albums, 4 EPs, a best of compilation and a bunch of live albums, available on CD/DVD/Blu-ray.
In 2018 LOVEBITES won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band.
LOVEBITES have toured in Europe back in 2018/2019 and also recently in 2024. This also includes appearances at most European major metal festivals such as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop, Resurrection Fest and Hellfest.
They also played their first US shows this year in September.
In 2021 the band went into a hiatus, because founder and bassist Miho quit the band for personal reasons. During the break also two babies were born. LOVEBITES came back in October 2022 with new bassist Fami and a few months later with new album „Judgement Day“. Their newest release is „LOVEBITES EP II“ with 5 amazing new songs.

She has an amazing vocal range and vibrato, writes most of the lyrics, also did parts of the song writing for their latest 2 albums, she is a former ballerina and RnB/soul singer

She is the musical brain of the band, main composer and arranger, a soulful but also shreddy guitar player and concert level pianist, furthermore she is a gear nerd
Midori on guitars (crazy shredder):
Incredibly fast and technical guitar player, has contributed to songwriting for a few of their songs, also she is a body fitness athlete
Haruna on drums (little big engine):
Plays very fast pace over long distances, she is very efficient and her stamina is admirable, the cymbal work is outstanding, she also wrote one of their songs including lyrics, creates handmade miniature fake food
Fami on bass since 2022 (shining fingers):
Absolute bass prodigy with outstanding technique, she speaks faster than sonic speed as she plays and smiles non-stop
Miho on bass until 2021 (natural born headbanger):
We will never forget her, she is a great bass player, she wrote several of the songs for the band’s albums 1-3

They are listened not only by metalheads. Ladies came out of their metal genre and have wider spectrum of fans.
They play Eclectic Metal. It means they blend as the first band in history all kind of metal mainly power and thrash with NWOBHM,
heavy metal, symphonic metal, speed metal,hair metal, hard rock, rock, rock'n'roll, jazz, progressive pieces, funk and even punk. They mix all with classical music using operatic, R&B, soul and gospel skills of vocalist and grand piano and Spanish guitar skills playing. Sometimes they use typical Japanese melodic lines which are included in ENKAs_ melancholy ballads singing by Japanese women. Only their can do it. Obviously they draw a lot from British, German and American metal. All this makes their style unique.

Lovebites has been around since 2016, and the women became more famous worldwide after performing at several major festivals, mainly in Europe, starting in

In 2020, their career was abruptly interrupted by Corona. But they masterfully overcame the crisis, got married and had babies. In 2021 the founder Miho left the band for personal reasons and it went into a hiatus which lasted until the end of 2022. In the fall of 2022 they found a young fantastic bass player and in 2023 they released a new LP. The new LP reached the 5th place in the Japanese charts. Japan is the 2nd largest music market in the world and it is very rare that in these times a rock band comes so far forward.

LOVEBITES was formed in 2016 by Miho(Ba) and Haruna(Dr), members of the band "DESTROSE", which went on hiatus in 2015.
The girls made their major label debut in 2017 (March 24) with "THE LOVEBITES EP".
On 11 June 2018, LOVEBITES won '🏆BEST NEW BAND' at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods 2018 awards organised by the British metal magazine METAL HAMMER.
On 4 August, LOVEBITES performed on the W.E.T stage at WACKEN OPEN AIR 2018, one of the world's largest annual metal festivals in Germany, with the 10,000 capacity venue almost full.
"Bloodstack open air 2018(Aug. 10)" also participated.
On August 20,2018, LOVEBITES announced that it has partnered with X-ray Touring, one of the largest players in the UK booking agent industry.
LOVEBITES toured the Netherlands, Germany, France and UK from November 13-21, 2018.
Asami (Vo) of LOVEBITES appeared as a guest on stage at Halestorm "Download Japan 2019(March 21)", singing alongside "Lzzy" Hale on Halestorm's "Love Bites (So Do!)", which gave the band their name.
LOVEBITES performed as a support band for "Arch Enemy's China tour at the Shanghai show on March 23 and the Beijing show on March 24, 2019".
LOVEBITES participated in "dowload Festival 2019(June 15)".
And Asami of LOVEBITES appeared as a guest on stage at Halestorm Download Festival UK 2019, singing alongside "Lzzy" Hale on Halestorm's "Love Bites (So Do!)" again after Japan.
LOVEBITES join DragonForce on UK tour 2019(Nov. 2-14).
On 2 December 2019, LOVEBITES was the support act for the Tokyo leg of Halestorm's Japan tour.

I am a Japanese heavy metal fan. As you can see from the number of views, I feel that Lovebites is the band that core orthodox heavy metal fans will continue to have high expectations for. It's not because they're women, which is boring. It's because of the high musicality of each individual and the band, their ability to create songs, their technical skills, and the amount of energy they have. All of the members are top-level musicians in Japan. Fans say, "The album is good, but the live performance is even better." I see it the same way, Asami (vocals - with an R&B background, not opera, you'll have to listen to Simone Simons from Epica or Floor Jansen from Nightwish - both Dutch), whether Miyako or Midori, M&M is in the house, don't worry, there will be unbelievably wonderful guitar music, with Miyako there could also be piano or synthesizer music on top. Although all 5 of them probably had piano lessons in their very early teens. But let's not forget the youngster (the new one) in the band, Fami, an absolutely good bassist and only such a person could ultimately succeed Miho (the former bassist and co-founder of Lovebites) - both women are experts on the bass! But who ultimately sets the pace in the band? Exactly, let's get to the unique, incredible, in my opinion, best female or male drummer in rock history, let's get to Haruna, the rather shy, withdrawn "little big engine" on the drums - no beat is too fast, no song is too difficult - a small person who provides the Lovebites musicians with a steely backbone.
This band is absolutely the spearhead of modern power metal worldwide!

10 is a moderate guess. "Holy War" is an excellent introduction song, but I'd say, almost half of the other songs are as good as this.
And more importantly, the rest is "almost as good", as there are no bad songs. And every song has its little surprise in it...
