in 15 min you cleared my all the doubts , for which i was dancing around for last 7 days very specificaaly , which firsm where i ca use aloneg with which controller thankk you very very much
Just to clarify, by "most versatile" setup i was talking about huge selection of breakout boards for linuxcnc/mach3/mach4, not just the $3 board as there are some really advanced ones, hybrid control and whatnot, if you plan on making direct control, i would advise to do extensive research about it, especially reliability and speed limits. I also need to mention that for CNC controllers and DIY motion system you can use 3D probes or handwheels as well, it's not like they are limited to direct control.
i allways wondered if you can tap intoo the small driverboards on the 3d printer controll boards and just use the step dir signal to drive the bigger drivers and operate say nema 23 steppermotors , not sure if their will be issues with setting up the distance traveled and stuff like that
any information for touch probe x y z on grbl ? I use ep32 at the moment. Maybe upgrade with controller for using this options like linuxcnc or mach 3 or 4

please make a schematic of your wiring that you show in the video
Schematic will depend on your hardware and firmware, in most cases it can be configured.
I use TMC2209 with nema23 2.8A and grbl motherboard , its more cheaper and better

This was really thorough and informative, can't wait for part 2
uCNC is the best imo
