I really want to learn but stuck on what pole to get, silicone or something else? can you slide on the silicone? I also don't know if I should get 40mm or 45, there is no pole classes for me to even test what id like since I am in a tiny little town
45 is standard so I would get that unless you have really really small hands. Silicone poles are good if you have sweaty hands or want to do more acrobatic tricks as its easier to grip but you will need to wear clothes because it will be really painful rubbing your skin against it and can actually rip your skin off & you wont be able to do drops. I would recommend getting a chrome pole first if you are new to pole because that is also the standard and what you will find in pole competitions and in pole studios. If you can pole on chrome then you can pole on anything. Hope this was helpful!
Thank you for this!! I’m debating swapping out my chrome for a silicone pole. I’m so much more comfortable dancing in leggings. Were you “too sticky” while spinning? I’m concerned about basework. Could you see yourself dancing on static with this pole, or only spin? Thanks!
@@redrubygogo thank you! I might end up doing the something similar, having both options and swapping poles depending on the weather, grip needed, etc.
How do you add the other extension? I’m having trouble adding mine. My pole was delivered with parts already put together including my top insert, but how do I add an extension with the top insert in the way?
my ceilings are 135 inches and i cant find any that will fit my ceiling besides the ones that are around $600. i wonder if its possible to add more than one extention?
No, they shouldn’t ruin your ceiling. There are instructions for installation just ensure you aren’t tightening the pole too tight. & yes they can work on carpet
Never knew that I needed a silicone pole until now
I appreciate you testing your pole after installing. Looks very stable
Does your pole damage your ceiling at all?
I'm getting my first X-pole tomorrow and I'm sooooo excited!
Best tutorial out there!!!

I love the silicone, but there is no slide. I prefer spin pole, but as of now I want to be able to switch between brass and silicone.

Lining it up is my problem and the bottom. Screws in, screws out... It's 2 inches away from the ceiling and I can't get it???
How can you tell if the pole is over-tightened or not tight enough?
Thanks!!
