I just put this guard on my Tacoma. The sensor works just fine. But if I get just a little bit of ice or snow on it, then it will stop working. But it does that even with no guard on it. December 2024. Took me about an hour and a half to put it on being careful.
Us here at XT have not tested whether this specific grille guard will interfere with the TSS sensor equipped on your truck. We do have a customer review left noting that their system works fine with this guard installed, but we can't guarantee anything unfortunately. Thanks for watching! -Zach
Considering that my 2020 Taco routinely tells me "Pre Collision System Unavailable - Please Clean Sensor" when there's a thin layer of dust covering it while driving off-road, I wouldn't be too quick to put a steel mesh in front of it.

Did you have to slightly move the a/c compressor line?
