I might describe it as a tender and tranquil composition, filled with an air of contentment and hope. The melody flows gently, carrying a sense of optimism and serenity, like a warm embrace or a peaceful morning. Its harmonies might evoke a feeling of quiet joy, reminiscent of a serene moment of pure happiness.
What an inspiring human you are!! It’s only recently that I’ve found out about you but I’ve been binge watching your videos since then!😅 You really motivate me to keep giving my best in music! Thank you for the amazing thing you’re doing!
Ughh, my favorite Chopin piece (outside all four of his ballades). Thank you for taking your time. Even though it's a lullaby, people tend to rush through it. Beautiful, as always.
Tiffany, you really get Chopin right, I *love* it! Day will come when your recordings are done on a first class piano in top shape and top acoustics and with a professional recording gear... I barely can wait!
I have been thinking about this piece all morning after hearing you play it. So beautiful. I think it might be next on my list after I conquer that blasted Barcarolle.
Love the peaceful and deep emotion. When listening and watching your playing, I do not even want to blink my eyes....:) always be very focused on every single note you are playing.
What a beautiful rendition and interpretation. I have also heard this piece played by others-no comparison to yours. The sensitivity you impart is bar none. What a feeling especially with my eyes closed. Thank you for that. You’ve just made my afternoon that much better!
None of the other pianists I've heard get this piece! But you @Tiffany Poon ...you totally get it!!! WOW. THANK YOU. You're the standard for what Berceuse was meant to be.
For me this conjures up memories of watching Al Petteway in concert (acoustic guitar) - I watched him do it, IN PERSON, and I *still* can't believe anyone could get *that* sound to come out of *that* instrument! This also reminds me why I love Chopin. Thank you ever so much!! Fred
I've listened to many different recordings of the Berceuse, and haven't found many to my liking. I've found issues with the tempo and articulation in many of those recordings. You interpreted this piece very well, and really brought out what makes this exquisite piece among the crown jewels of Chopin. Thanks for sharing!
You are as sweet as the Berceuse. So very many thanks this recording. I am standing on the other side of the globe yet I can see the Tiffany flag rippling high in the crisp breeze.
Beautiful piece (Bravo Chopin), beautifully played, nice piano player (of course, Tiffany!). Makes me all feel better. Makes me realize that there is more than everydays business, stress and sorrow. Thank you!
I watched this video weeks ago, just awesome, a real pleasure to listen to. Chopin wrote a fantastic piece of music, and you play it so well. I then searched youtube to watch other performances, mostly good by very respected pianists, my opinion the best of the others by michelangeli many years ago. Then back to this performance of yours: the most graceful, smooth, perfect performance - it tops the lot. YOu say you would play it differently now, that would be good to hear.
The highlights for me in this piece were the wonderful bits of novel interpretation. A couple of the chords rang in a way I've never heard in Berceuse. I so look forward for some more interpretations of this.
one of my favorite songs. i could do maybe the first 10 measures. i asked my piano teacher if he could play it. he sight read it and played about the same. he said it would take him a month to learn that song and i should try something easier. so i gave up on it. i love listening to people play this piece. you play it so gracefully and beautifully.
Magnifique interprétation ! C'est comme ça, selon moi, que cette Berceuse doit être perçue, ressentie, vécue, jouée. Merci Tiffany Wonderful interpretation ! This is how I think this Lullaby should be perceived, felt, experienced, played. Thank you Tiffany ^^ My favorite historical rendition is Solomon Cutner's recording in 1942 and you are close to him
it might have been 1974 or '75 that i purchased my very first album from a precursor of the low to middle class department store (target , walmart, etc.). It was called, "service merchandise." . The album was ivan davis' "chopin" which included this gem. i was was immediately enthralled by the beauty of its lyrical theme and ostinato accompaniment, only deviating slightly toward the end. As a result, for ,me, ivan davis' rendition of the berceuse, as well as the other major works contained in this album (fantasy, barcarolle, ballade in g minor, fantaisie imptomptu) established a benchmark of sorts, which, sadly, i never attained in my own playing. in the subsequent decade, i became aware of the transcendental art of murray perahia, eclipsing any previous notion of perfection.
This is an exquisite interpretation. You ask what your fans want of you on social media. THIS is what it’s all about. Yes we like your vlogs, because they help us feel less intimidated by your pianistic awesomeness, but it is Chopin that reveals your unique talent to me. To be able to play Raindrop and Barcarolle as you do at age 20... and you are nowhere near your peak! I wonder how you would handle his Funeral March...
She is one of the best interpreters of Chopin today. ❤️❤️❤️
I agree!
Agreed
Then why is she playing so fast?
@@peterrabbit2338 you should hear some other interpretations if you think this is fast! I dare say this is one of the slower interpretations!
FINALLY A RECORDING OF THIS PIECE THAT I LIKE !!!1!1!!!!
YAY! THANK YOU!
Idil Biret has a really great interpretation as well.
Woh nelly, Rubinsteins extremely is excellent
I think the important thing with this piece is to play it a little mechanically otherwise it becomes to cheesy. It’s like Steve Reich
Helene Grimaud is my fav but this one is beautiful as well
Wow.. this one u really got right.
Tiffany is as in love with the music as she is with the piano. What a gift from God she is!🌹🌹
People ask me why I play this piece. I say, "Just berceuse".
Good one! Lol
@@LS-zq3td that is cute!
And people ask me what i'm cooking, and I say, i'm chopin em broccoli to pieces berceuse I've got some etudes problems.
I found this comment painfully hilarious.
Aww that’s cute but it’s actually pronounced [ber sooz] ^-^
I might describe it as a tender and tranquil composition, filled with an air of contentment and hope. The melody flows gently, carrying a sense of optimism and serenity, like a warm embrace or a peaceful morning. I love this video. I think it's my all-time favorite piece/performance. The first few times I watched it I was hypnotized :-). Well done Tiffany!
What an inspiring human you are!! It’s only recently that I’ve found out about you but I’ve been binge watching your videos since then!😅 You really motivate me to keep giving my best in music!
Thank you for the amazing thing you’re doing!
Oh my, that's what I have been always searching for; your playing is so exquisite and silky, it must be already my favorite recording!
This is a very warm relaxing piece, and you played it wonderfully!
Ughh, my favorite Chopin piece (outside all four of his ballades). Thank you for taking your time. Even though it's a lullaby, people tend to rush through it. Beautiful, as always.
Slower with expression is better for this piece.
Does it always have to be classical music can’t you open your mind to other kinds of music that’s what my Piano Teacher says to me?@tiffanypoon
Chopin never called it a Berceuse. That was the publisher’s decision on publication. Chopin named it Variantes.
not any of the sonatas?
you are so gentle with the instrument it's not only a pleasure to hear you play but it's also very calming to see you play.
Miss this room
Lovely. One thing I love about your performances is the clarity of the notes. Makes it easier to hear what the composer was trying to achieve.
Tiffany, you really get Chopin right, I *love* it! Day will come when your recordings are done on a first class piano in top shape and top acoustics and with a professional recording gear... I barely can wait!

Lovely. One of Chopins finest pieces.
True
Love the peaceful and deep emotion. When listening and watching your playing, I do not even want to blink my eyes....:) always be very focused on every single note you are playing.
wow beautiful piece Thank you for sharing :)
That liggerissimo Run starting at 2:17 is beautiful. You play it very well.
What a beautiful rendition and interpretation. I have also heard this piece played by others-no comparison to yours. The sensitivity you impart is bar none. What a feeling especially with my eyes closed. Thank you for that. You’ve just made my afternoon that much better!
Celeste Amaya yeah, she plays amazingly, with such gentle touch... Just as good as yundi li's version of this piece
Tears...nothing but tears!
Such incredibly expressive playing! 💜💜
Amazingly beautiful. Thank you, Tiffany. God bless you
Going to NYC tomorrow.. It would be a great surprise to see Tiffany around haha
My favorite Chopin's Berceuse. Outstanding, Tiffany! Love it!

Listening to this at work; sounds phenomenal and relaxing!! The tempo is right on for me.
I could listen to this all day. Beautiful piece, beautiful played. Thank you for sharing it with us!

Gotta say, I'm a fan since 1842
One of my favorite chopin pieces, thank you tiffany!
Absolutely beautiful! Great interpretation...I’m currently learning this piece myself 😉👌
How beautiful! I've never heard of this piece before, I think I'm gonna play it too now. 😊
I've listened to many different recordings of the Berceuse, and haven't found many to my liking. I've found issues with the tempo and articulation in many of those recordings. Your interpretation is beautiful 😍.. What a beautiful piece. Truly, your playing comes from the heart.
Her clothes are always so amazing!
Tiffany, you play this beautifully. It's one of my favorite pieces by Chopin. Thank you!
You are as sweet as the Berceuse. So very many thanks this recording. I am standing on the other side of the globe yet I can see the Tiffany flag rippling high in the crisp breeze.
" 2 months later, I think I would play this a little differently today,..."
Non so cosa avresti cambiato, ma per me è perfetta così.
Brava!!
Beautiful piece (Bravo Chopin), beautifully played, nice piano player (of course, Tiffany!). Makes me all feel better. Makes me realize that there is more than everydays business, stress and sorrow. Thank you!

100% enjoyment. Nothing else to say.
first time hearing this piece glad it's from you. It also doesn't sound like the usual chopin compositions
sounds like falling stars 🌠
I love your playing!
It's really emotional, I love it!
I wish I could play this piece someday.
WHY HAVEN’T I SEEN YOU PLAYING THIS PIECE YET????
this is absolutely brilliant, it rivals Pollini’s interpretation imo (which is my favourite)
The highlights for me in this piece were the wonderful bits of novel interpretation. A couple of the chords rang in a way I've never heard in Berceuse. I so look forward for some more interpretations of this.
Wow! Wonderful playing. I might have to give this one a try. It is so beautiful. Love the last two chords. Thanks Tiffany!
Another beautiful performance! Thank You!

Step by step, one day you will able to learn it without problems!
Tiff, it was such a lovely piece to listen to while I had my breakfast . l hope you enjoy your weekend . Vic

Dreaming ... with butterflies fluttering
Beautiful direction, this scratches the itch
Quel merveilleux moment d'émotion

I've just suddenly remembered this piece and looked it up by Tiffany Poon :)
It's one of my favorites. I love also the cantabile in B flat mj, and more slowly with breath over almost two minutes, not one minute :)

Frederic was complex in music, he always composed a awe inspiring piece. So easy to smile and follow through listening to his quill
Tiffany - new fan - you play so effortlessly - so beautiful -perfectness!
Amazing, you really seem to love chopin😊 Have you ever played and/or planned on recording his etudes? And what about some more contemporary composers?
one of my fav chopin's piece. wish i could play for my baby sleeping in a cot.

Wunderschön gespielt.
Why you would play this wonderful piece differently, Tiffany? This is a fantastic interpretation!
Beautiful! 🥺❤️
