When it came to redoing my art studio, I wanted to go big and sparkly. So I used epoxy to glitter my floor. It came out beautiful! Here is how I did it! craftychica.com

Kinda reminds me the glittered counter tops when I was younger. Pink with gold glitter. I have seen this done on the garage floor but never in the house. Looks kinda cool! Thank you

I've been looking for some gold flakes to put into my countertops. Obviously not as thick as you have for your floor. I mean that wouldn't look as appealing on countertops but something to give a nice granite look.

I do this for a living and the varathane diamond floor finish she knows what shes doing and using 4 or 5 coats will last as long as you want it.

I did this to my floor with black. I while ago I came up with this same idea when I saw a black glitter floor at a forever21 and I fell in love with it. The only prom is the paint will scrap off.
I like it very much, great idea.

What does the floor feel like? I mean, is it grainy/can you feel the glitter or is it smooth? Probably a stupid question, but I'm just wondering! +Could I do this in the bathroom, or would the humidity ruin it?

I loved this idea I live this really old house so we need to fix it,change the floors,windows etc. and my room is really old styled and I need that rocky style on my room. Having a green floor and walls is not really rock. Im gonna do this(if my mom and stepdad are OK with thks and help me with this) when we fix my rooms(2 rooms and a bathroon). Im just a 13 year old girl who needs glam rock in her life. So this glitter floor fits perfectly in my style and in my boring room.

Wow, that is really impressive! How long to dry in between the polyurethane coats? How long after the last coat did you feel it was ready for furniture , puppies,people etc.? Thank you. I love it.

Do you know if you can do this to hard wood floors?
I have some questions. I have wooden floors and i want to paint them. If I were to paint them could I use regular porch and floor paint then put glitter on top and then use a sealant or would i have to get the epoxy thing?
I would def use the epoxy because you really need a heavy duty adhesive to hold up a heavy duty use floor. I'm worried if you use something else it will flake off in chunks. I tried your method for a gold leaf floor and it didn't last, whereas my glittered floor is still intact. it's permanent!

I can only imagine how BEAUTIFUL it looks when you light candles. Now would it have been easier if you had just added the glitter to the actual mix/paint or the polyurethane?

You could still do it. You can paint over vinyl flooring (any flooring really). Just be sure to seal it with 5 layers of top coat.
