This video made me subscribe. 20 years is a long long journey and you achieved so much for your physique through patience, and your commitment to your lifestyle. I love it. Keep it up and stay true to yourself. always.
I love bodybuilding as a sport and an art form, but also love the lifestyle. Simply just being able to escape and enjoy the feeling of releasing energy and doing something intensely physical is like therapy for me. I love the structure and discipline it creates and transfers across other areas of life also. Let me know if you agree
Nothing more to add to the video or comments as everything has already been said. Met you and got interested in you due to your posing and since then I have realised what an actual genuine and humble guy you are. True motivation, Pete.
Pete, you are a fucken living legend man. I don't feel what you have gone through but your determination and endurance to keep going its unfathomable. Continue being the best version of yourself man. Fuck the hater. Me and so many will always constantly support you. And DW IFBB pro card next year.
Absolutely and completely inspiring Pete. I can relate to this more than you can know. As previously discussed, I have been through so much of the same in my life and it is refreshing and relieving to say the least to know Im not alone in my feelings and own personal journey within this lifestyle we love so much. Keep sharing brother, I look forward to more!
Thank you Pete . You have been such a big inspiration ever since the goldenera bodybuilding times with artemus . 5years later im here relating to this journey and i see a path cause of your sharing . Thank you for being you
Thanks for bringing fresh air to bodybuilding; the golden era bodybuilding. You remind us the great heros of sport, plz do something to bring that quality to sport again...thanks
you are the only person on youtube who has got the same issues en mindset as me. respect. 26 years old. 8 years of training and still natural. I only wonder how you get your biceps to pop out like that. good roundness en fullness.
Part of it is definitely genetics. I have long distance from origin to insertion for my biceps, so when i contract it looks rounder and fuller and also natural shape of my muscle. Also starting very young and doing it for so long plays a bit of a role. But also practicing the bicep peak on my posing lots.
@steroidsR4losers i dont understand why he is claiming to be natty. it is just damaging him. everybody knows he is using and nobody gives a shit. he looks awesome anyway.
First time seeing pete. Awesome physique by the way. Its what I would want to look like. But if I was a betting man, Would say pete is taking low dose of gear. He also has great genetics.
amazing! I'm 16 years old and to watch your journey inspires me to follow my dreams/goals. keep up the hardwork because you don't know who your inspiring 💪.
This is a verry good video, evolution, thoughts, training, posing, bodyweight skills. Love this type of artist! Keep on doing such a good thing like that!
OMG! I’m not a bodybuilder, but have the SAME IDENTICAL FEELINGS that you expressed. I’m rather shy, recharge by being alone. But I have a talent to sing and dance. I tell people I’m shy and rather introverted. Then they say, “I just saw you singing and dancing in front of 3,000 people. Shy people can’t do that.” Yes, we can! You explained a lot of that “dycohtomy.” Another experience I had: I started learning country/western dance which includes two-step, waltz, swing, line, etc. the reason I took lessons is so that I would have tons of people who would want to dance with me. I got good enough to teach it. And I thought I had succeeded with my goal. Well, I got so good no one wanted to dance with me! “I’m not good enough to dance with the teacher,” they would say. Anyway, I can see that happening in fitness training. You want to look good to be attractive. But then, people are afraid to approach you! And you still don’t have the “confidence” to approach them! 😱😱😱
This is far and away one of the most erudite/realistic/thorough examinations of what it takes to succeed in life that I've ever heard. It's not just bodybuilding, his area of special gifts, but in everything you do. Persistence, realizing that you are good enough, and not giving up hope. Glad to see you get so far Pete. I'm sure we'll hear more from you in the future.
Pete thank you for sharing your story. Unfortunately I've seen so many young bodybuilders who have quit due to the hate they get from people telling them that they must be doing steroids because they are big even though the truth was they were all natural. I don't know if this was because the haters were jealous of the gains these kids made and they could not. But as a trainer I would never take on a young bodybuilder if they even talked of using steroids I hope your story will inspire more young bodybuilders that there are ways to build and maintain their bodies without the use of these dangerous drugs Thank you again for your story
What I love about your physique is that you’re short. You were dealt what many guys consider to be a bad hand but you built an incredible physique with it. no excuses. You also have the guys that will claim it’s easy for you to put on muscle cuz you’re short. So many excuses everywhere I look. You’re a testament to just going out there and putting in the time and work and passion. Great video!
Perfect genetics for bodybuilding, years of hard work, movie star good looks - Absolutely magnificent. Wishing you the best of luck in all that you do.
Bro your body is absolutely incredible and your posing is amazing keep up the good work man and thanks for motivating me to be better and stronger ...oh btw you remind me of the legendary franko columbo😂💪
Incredible physique man! It's definitely hard to look at the photos and fathom that you are natural BUT that's due to my own take on my own inadequacies with my physique. Impressive. Subbed up. Will be following along.
Pete! You are now one of my biggest motivations. I'm planning to compete in 2019 for the first time and when i saw that you were competing on inba then i felt extremely motivated because inba is where i'd like to go. Great content, keep it up!
Chris Haas great question. I do deads on leg day as for me they hammer my hammies, lower back and gluts more than my lats or upper back. When I'm training back i alternate between starting with rows or pull ups/lat pulldowns depending if i want width/lats or more mid upper trap. In which case if I'm focusing more on mid upper traps id do rows
Mate I am quite a socially anxious person too and have done martial arts for many years but recently stopped because of all the negative shit that came with it. How do you push through and ignore that crap? Is it really just about having a thick skin? Any tips would be much appreciated.
Yeah it really sucks. I took time away from my sport but found it's almost everywhere because there will be drama and negative people anywhere you go. It took a while for me to improve and i'm far from perfect and still struggle with it at times but am miles better than where i was when i was younger. Understanding that people's perspectives don't reflect reality helps. Our worlds are all individual to us, so what i see or how i interpret a situation is not the same as someone else so that mindset helps me. But also that my character is more important than my reputation or what other people think of me. They are both important but if i try to control how people view me it can come across as in-genuine and sometimes people are just going to think how they think. Putting myself out to the world in small doses experiencing gradual exposure to the things i fear has helped me gradually build more resilience. But also accepting that even if people are still negative, it's not always the end of the world. I can leave that particular situation or even community of people if its completely toxic which may really suck but eventually find people who connect with. I'm no expert. These are just things that have worked for me but i'm still building myself also.
Thank you so much for sharing your story and your perspective on the topic. I shall definitely always try to keep true to myself and understand that everyone's opinion and perspective are their own and don't necessarily reflect the truth of what is. I will also try to confront my fears as you do to help build that much needed resilience. It's not always the easiest thing to do but just like training, persistence prevails. Thank you again for sharing your life experience. I shall write your words down as a reminder and practice. Much respect.
Time is fine unless you are on the wrong course. Then you get get nowhere. I struggled for years on my own, long ago and got absolutely nowhere. Now, it's too late in life, but I stay in best shape i can.
Respect man , you hav very good genetics even at a early age you was ripped and had a good shape , I also hav good genetics and even before I started bodybuilding I had a good base to work with , I often get accused of steroid use but I'm 100% natty and hav been trading for 15year , just out of curiosity how tall are you ? I'm 5ft8 and 90kg , which is a respectable weight for my height
Pete nobody poses like you, YOU ARE PURE INSPIRATION!

He has some serious posing skills that many pro bodybuilders don't
Amazing lats! Do you normally start with pull ups or the more more heavy rows and deads first?
Chris Haas great question. I do deads on leg day as for me they hammer my hammies, lower back and gluts more than my lats or upper back. When I'm training back i alternate between starting with rows or pull ups/lat pulldowns depending if i want width/lats or more mid upper trap.
