btw if anyone is curious, the bird at 31:08 is a white wagtail. their feather colors can vary quite a bit between each other, and they get their name because they wag their tails up and down. they're super cute birds

The premise is that observing said files will cause harm to you, a sort of cognitohazard, but this one seems to be a subversion of the trope. I honestly always have been fascinated by this idea, just something about coming across a mind-bending piece of media on the Internet spooks me :D

That’s a huge trigger for me and so many UA-cam videos don’t warn for it (or else give an unhelpful “disturbing content” warning or, of all things, a nonsensical “grape juice” warning (it took me too long to understand that euphemism)), so seeing the warning there that enabled me to skip that part of the video made me super happy.

They joked that the main villain of the pasta was Shaq in the first episode of their read-through. Someone who was either a fan of the podcast or just watched that episode wrote the version with Shaq.

THANK YOU I've been trying to figure out what Illusion of Bias was for years. genuinely petrified me as a child and yet was so artistically intriguing that I couldn't look away. It's always stuck with me. One of my first brushes with horror on the internet and yet I never see anybody talk about it, thus me not even knowing the name until now. I'm so happy to know what this is now so I can actually search for it and show it to others. joyous day for me indeed.
I like the way you explain these and the way you talk. Very clear and loud which is sadly not common with many people doing icebergs.
I haven't heard of most of these, but some of them, like Happy Appy, are a blast from the past for me. I don't remember if I ever watched the recovered episodes though, I just remember reading about it and seeing screengrabs. I knew it probably wasn't really on Noggin, but I had no idea it was so satirical until today. It actually creeped me out to see it's name on the iceberg.

WOW. both parts are an excellently rounded out collection of weird snippets from the internet, but for me the craziest part is the first entry of the atlantis section-- i was multitasking and happened to look over right when the clip of the bed was floating out the window-- i recognized that "goodnight" AND the raggedy ann clip too! they were from a sing-a-long VHS of sorts i watched a lot as a kid, we had a cassette tape of the songs too that we'd listen to in the car. "goodnight" always spooked me but it still stuck with me and i never remembered what the VHS was. ngl i was not expecting to see those here especially in the atlantis section LOL but yeah nicely done! and subbed :D

Lots of 2000's throwbacks across all these. Love how a couple examples in this entire iceberg remind me of PilotRedSun. Interesting how the final pickle video seemed like a post-2017 crossover of multiple entities, the "Hands Thing" and the drag queens, some sort of self-aware celebration of several of these Internet obscurities, but finding out it was a 2009 tribute as you quickly revealed at the end of that segment was surprising.

Love the video! Just wanted to take the time to educate on one teeny totally nit-picky thing. It's not being "nauseous." It's being nauseated! Nauseous is something that CAUSES nausea- nauseated is something/one that HAS nausea! Super common misnomer, but it's rare to find others who know this, and it's really no one's fault that they know the wrong word for it, I didn't know it until I turned 22 and started living with a nurse (my partner's mom).
Alsooo thank you for being respectful and objective about masking and the drag stuff! A lot of people would have taken the easy route and shamed/made fun of/overreacted about it. Fantastic :)
