Never apologize for your videos. You never clickbait, draw videos out, or any of the shenanigans other channels do. Just straight content backed by some OCD and an amazing work ethic. THIS CHANNEL SETS THE STANDARD FOR CREATOR QUALITY. Keep up the awesome work and THANK YOU for sharing it.
Watch out when running the winter tires in the rain, as u will notice that your stopping distance can increase by upto 50%. Keep up the good work. Cheers
Your OCD is on point! If anyone questions your commitment to keeping your vehicles running and looking good, this is the case study file you can present to them. Great job and Mr Gump looks like it rolled off the showroom floor. 👍🏼
That Forester 2015 is in better shape than one 2020... you did an extraordinary job on that car!!! Just see the wheels, suspension, the golden brakes, with special disks ... Just impressed!!! When you changed the brake fluid, I said to myself when was the last time I change it in my Kia Rio 2014... You are skinny and beautiful, but mostly very strong in mounting those wheels.
FYI Sarah, I run Blizzaks all year round. I live near Carson City NV. So it gets hot here too. I've found that the tires still last 40,000 miles. Just as long as the OEM tires. For about 1/2 the cost.
Although I am an old-school kind of guy I love of how you work on cars nothing is overlooked or just good enough you demand Perfection and cleanliness that rates very high in my book
I must admit, Gump looks pretty darn good Sarah. Just try not to bed those old shoes into the new rotors or you'll have to turn the rotors to prevent glazing. So brake lightly without heating them up. Before I retired (I was an engine machinist) we used to actually turn brand new rotors for people because they were always off from sitting and shipping etc. It's like you never buy a new bare cylinder head and just throw new valves in it without cutting the seats. They are never ready to assemble no matter what they say. Anyway, when you do get the new brake pads installed, then you do wanna go out and 'bed' the brakes in.
Sarah, you are incredible. Pretty, smart, funny and entertaining. Most of all I appreciate your indomitable spirit. I learn something from every video you produce. That's saying a lot when you consider your probably half my age. I hope you get everything you want in life. Thanks for the videos!
Forester Gumb’s new brakes and rims with new wide tires look really awesome. Definitely a good upgrade. Of those rally winter tires ... I don't think they'll last the Arizona heat for very long. Here, where we have to drive on winter tires in winter, they are changed in spring as soon as the weather warms up. They melt even though there is half the heat here. Of course we also have pins in them. The winter tire is also bad in the rain, it’s really slippery, though it rains a bit in Arizona. Anyway, your projects are really nice to follow, I wish you all the best for you and your projects.
If anyone was interested, the unsprung weight that Gump lost is 2 stone. You're welcome. 😉 I love the rims Sarah, but does this mean you won't be driving Gump in the desert to watch the sunset anymore?
Another informative update 👍🏼 I think one of the coolest things about your job/work/channel, is that you get to wear comfortable, casual clothing every day. I totally envy that!!
I don't offroad my scooby but I kept the rally-armors on anyway. I noticed that its the first car I've ever owned without any little dings or scratches from road garbage being kicked up along the side of the car, especially along the lower front doors.
OH, the suspense build up as you were popping the nipple cap. I had to back it up just to make sure I was hearing that music you added in. I love your editing skills!
Stroke, Travel, Compression, Bleeding, Strut, Weight loss, Ceramic Coating and more..I learned so much that I'm sure that my IQ has been increased by a factor of 3 to the 5th power. Thanks from me and my family and from any potential future spawn I may or may not create.
That's a huge amount of lightness you added up front, Gump's going to be light on his feet now. Your front dampers are adjustable, right? I'm seeing that both Forester and STI have symmetrical primary and secondary braking circuits, with proportioning being handled electronically in your ABS modulator(Electronic Brakeforce Distribution) so front to rear pressures aren't a concern of the master cylinder. The only real difference you have between the two master cylinders is amount of pedal travel to move a given amount of fluid, pressure created is based on volume moved. If you're ok with the pedal travel now, then there would be no reason to swap masters. On this style caliper, you should bleed the inboard nipple before the outboard, and when you're using suction to bleed, you want to remove the vacuum and let it gravity bleed for a second. The low pressure that is in the caliper, can suck back air into the system. I thought you would be going simple on the focus suspension with F150 rear shocks, but fancy works too!
Hi as a subaru tech . i know that the abs /HCU has a different controller for the STI VS the Wrx VS the Forester you may get away with just programming your abs module to a Sti
I disagree with this, the brakes themselves aren't really what changes in the calibration differences, the overall dynamics of the vehicle are, not to mention the other system differences (engine, dccd) between a sti and a forester. The function of all VDC systems will still be working properly for the vehicle, the only real change is the volume of fluid moved. With the HCU on these only having a input pressure sensor(m/c output) not an outlet sensor(pump output/ suction valve drain back) it's an open loop system. Anytime that activation occurs (be it a pressure increase or decrease situation) the HCU will still respond per vehicle dynamics, even if there is a slight time delay for a sufficient pressure increase event due to the larger fluid circuit. There are references to changes in VDC calibration that were made for the SJ Forester ts, but unless that file is available (I'm not seeing an option for a 206kw version in SSM4) then I would keep it with the standard SJ calibration, especially since Eyesight was standard on the ts.
The forester looks awesome!!! I kinda wanna know what it would look like if you slammed it on those coilovers. I think going with the minimalist approach on the decals was the right move. Great job Sarah!
I am three or four videos behind, but this thumbnail had me at hello! Those wheels look perfect. Subtle and agressive. Love it! Can't wait to get caught up. Cheers!
Sarah, I've quit all other automotive channels to view only yours. You make things easy to understand and really fun. I'd bet you'd make a fantastic stand-up comedian, plus you're beyond gorgeous. Win!
I almost wish I didn't need to take my FXT offroad watching your build, it's badass. Wrap those fog light trim pieces black to finish the black and white look, its super easy.
Love your attention to detail, and it seems I may be more afflicted than you: RBF600 is too thick for the car. DOT4 is divided into sub-standards. The original has twice the viscosity of the later (LV / SL6). The idea is that the thinner stuff is faster to react to the high-frequency pulses of ESP. In theory, if you drive within ESP and ABS limits, you will never know the difference. However, people make the mistake of using the LV stuff in older cars...where it can be really helpful to find minute leaks. Oops!
I’m glad you got it finished and you’re happy with it. I’ll be honest, I’m not a fan of the wheels myself but it’s not my car. But the rest of the car is badass. Looking forward to the Focus content!
I got rid of my vacuum bleeder for a pressure bleeder. MUCH less noise, and a pressure bleeder works faster. It is also required on some vehicles instead of vacuum bleeding.
Sarah, whoever is your partner/significant other/spouse better know what they have! A jewel who knows how to turn a wrench is an absolute gem!!! Not to mention video editing/social media/you tube diva!
Sarah gump looks awesome I knew you hadn’t ceramic coated the face of the wheels if you were smart enough to mount and balance the tires before you ceramic coated the rims there was no way you weren’t going to ceramic coat over the decals. Hope you’re enjoying the holiday today as it is a beautiful day here and I’m sure it is there have a great one🐧🐧🐧👍
Gump looking good! Regas look good on everything, such a classic wheel. I miss my old S13 with Regas. I think if you put the Evo decal on it would be the icing on the cake, the colors would match the grill emblem!
Hi there, I’ve been watching your videos for about a year now and have really enjoyed them, thank you for keeping up with constant footage and enjoyable content as it helps entertain myself and distract myself from pain and life. Love the innuendo’s aswell. Keep up the awesome work from an Aussie cripple Ps, you’re very pretty and remember a smile is contagious :)
I have been busy lately, but I will be going through your old stuff and catching up on things lol I only discovered that I could look up things on a menu that have been posted 🙁🤙🏼
Just throwing it out there, you might want to look into the Firestone Winterforce when/if you need tires for the Focus :) They're a M&S I used to run in NY and NJ and they were incredible. SUPER-KNOBBY, huge treadblocks, I can only imagine they'd be great on loose gravel :)
Hey Sarah thanks for the awesome content! I'm sure there are many out there with foresters benefiting from it! Is there anyway you could make a video illustrating all the suspension and steering upgrades you've made? I'm sure many of us would love to duplicate your success!!
Sarah, I love, LOve, LOVE your videos. Probably because I too own an SJ Forester XT. Anyways, have you considered restoring a classic vehicle. That would be great content. Keep the videos coming.
Man, I can't believe how SEXY gump is, it's unreal! I mean the pearl white paint, the brembos, the amazing wheels...and the mechanic is totally awesome as well. Nice work Sarah! Now if subaru had a trans that held real power.... CVT..ugh

The pneumatic bleeders are where it's at. Makes life so easy and does such a thorough job.

This is not a road car that will be driven on asphalt.
A full dozen cookies for the Regamasters! Perfect choice on the decals. I never thought a Subie could look so cool!
I love how you say , " articulate freely " . . . . . .
If anyone was interested, the unsprung weight that Gump lost is 2 stone. You're welcome. 😉
I love the rims Sarah, but does this mean you won't be driving Gump in the desert to watch the sunset anymore?
and Sarah did affirm on another video that all stones in UK are 14 lbs...
@@twystedhumour Exactly. I posted it to be funny. 🙂
The best collection of project cars on UA-cam right now.
Another informative update 👍🏼
I think one of the coolest things about your job/work/channel, is that you get to wear comfortable, casual clothing every day. I totally envy that!!
Can’t wait to see Forester Gump with his flares on, and the wheels are beautiful!
Step by step, every mod you made to the FXT is really well done and clean. One of the cleanest Forester on UA-cam with funcional mods. 👍🏻
I don't offroad my scooby but I kept the rally-armors on anyway. I noticed that its the first car I've ever owned without any little dings or scratches from road garbage being kicked up along the side of the car, especially along the lower front doors.
Off-road is not your only concern with mudflaps - there are always little rocks flying up from the road - the mudflaps helps prevent stone chips.
You know you have the coolest Forrester in American now😁😍
Gump looks fantastic! Looking forward to see the Focus come together now. Another great vid, Sarah

Near "golden hour" for your roadside video. Nice warm colors, no shadows. And yes, evening is when a ton of people walk. Best time of the day!
Once again ladies and gentleman. I give you...Sarah the amazing! We love you so much Sarah and are so thankful for all you do! 🎉😍🍀

Awesome conversion job on the Forrester and a big "WOW" the Focus! I can't wait to what's next for the Focus!
Great, a twofer. Gump and the Focus. Snow tires, what a great budget idea.

Buying a car you've owned and worked on must be heaven, everything being more tidy than it was when new!
The Forrester is a vehicle I never gave a second thought too, but dayum. Your Forrester is the shit! Great work!
The forester looks awesome!!! I kinda wanna know what it would look like if you slammed it on those coilovers. I think going with the minimalist approach on the decals was the right move. Great job Sarah!

Glad you didn’t decal the spokes Excellent decision with the subtlety
Congratulations on the Forrester and I am looking forward to the Focus.
It's always a lot of fun to watch your videos Sarah

28 lbs unsprung weight saved the s HUGE! 😮 Well done Sarah!
Love my Outback Cool !!!
Your production quality of your videos has really improved in the last few years. Also, it is nice to see that you are enjoying yourself again.
The board for notes is an excellent idea.
After a long day of looking after dad I look to see if Sarah checked in. Glad to see ya.
Yeah boiiii that Forester rules
I have that same torque wrench! So glad you got sponsored by GearWrench, I really like their stuff.
Your videos always makes my day so much better
Now the Forester look so good! And the dampers, brakes and wheels are really great!
Gump’s looking good. Looking forward to seeing the progress on the Focus.

FORESTER TO FOCUS!!!
AWSOME!!!
Good content, and a tease whats to come on the focus.
Ahhhh!!!! But wait...the up travel for the Ficus. You still need something to stop the tires from going through the fenders. Bump stops?

Beautiful, well equipped and agile... I'm talking about Sarah
Your work is impressive.
Sarah finally puts the Focus in focus! 😀
Well done Sarah, Gump looks great! I’m looking forward to all the Focus content. 👊
Gump is front heavy anyway so the rear not getting lighter actually helps the weight distribution a bit.
Those Regas are light!
Sarah, this looks awesome.
