I guess its because I live in Williamsburg but between the comments about how much people love visiting and the video makes me chuckle but this vlog is honestly spot on for tourist spots but here are some other suggestions 1. Rockos smoke house on bypass rd is real good and cheaper than pierces bbq 2. Food for thought is another good place to eat 3. Captain Georges is you like sea food (I wouldn't do fat tuna they fell off low-key) 4. Williamsburg outlets is nice little area to shop 5. The colonial Parkway is a parkway that takes you though all the historic parts of the area its a nice scenic drive with hidden little beach on both James and York Rivers 6. Jamestown-Scottland ferry in the summer time (A car ferry that takes you over to Surry county) 7. Obviously Busch Gardens water country and Great Wolf Lodge remember they keep Williamsburg and the counties very small town so there is no night life (Because the locals are not fond of the tourist and its retirement town)
Pierce’s is not about the ambience. It is entirely about the food. Truckers get off the highway to eat there. Get the sandwich not just meat. The bread is delicious. I live in Williamsburg and I know people who have moved away and go to Pierce’s first if they come back to visit.
You probably slept good that night with all you had gotten done in that one day. WOW. THANKS for the great memories of walking around Williamsburg. When I was younger my family and I loved spending the day walking around that area. We never took the tour but we went to all the places that were free to explore. We also did a lot of shopping.
00:56 +2 for the ice chips, -10 for Pepsi products 😂 LOVE seeing some hype for everything that Williamsburg has to offer _outside_ of Busch! As theme parkers, we are always chasing coaster credits all over the country - but when we’re poking about a new area, we always try to do some sightseeing and some ‘cultural studies’ while we’re there, too! The cheese shop is a really cool stop. I didn’t realize that they actually cut the cheese (lol) with tension wire. Also, hold the phone, a LAZY RIVER?? 😳 100% booking Kingsmill for our next summer visit lol Great video, Krystal! Those were some next-level bloopers, too 😂
Great video. Next time go to Billsburg Brewery in Williamsburg. Its right on the river. Brews with a View! Youll love it ! And next time in Merchant Square, go to Precarious Beer Hall !!!
Live in virginia beach and I am from suffolk Virginia so I have been to williamsburg plenty of times. If you aren't into history or wine there isn't much to do in williamsburg. There is the tour that you can do to go through the colonial portion that you walked around and if you want to go inside and do some old experience you can purchase a ticket like you said. William and Mary is butted up against the colonial portion and if you go over where the shopping is that is where some of the campus is. For younger people, busch gardens and water country are kind of the go to. The old people and families do the tours lol. They also have ghost tours at night, similar to when you went to Salem and if you go in season they have them there. My gf and I always do them around October to get in season.
Ill be staying in Williamsburg and going to Busch Gardens this September for Howl-O-Scream again. I really enjoy that area and it only takes a 3.5 hour drive where I live in Baltimore.
I like Route 60 BBQ. I know Pierce's is somewhat famous but I am not into the vinegar North Carolina BBQ. Anna's Brickover Pizza has excellent lasagna.
You can tell when a BBQ joint has no clue how to make BBQ, they cover it in sauce. Both your pulled pork and the ribs were smothered in sauce, covering up the poorly made smoked meats.
