I can relate to accidently writing something actually good. I have a character who I associated with sunflowers, and he's also very stuck in his ways. I realized that it accidently line sup perfectly because sunflowers always face one direction, no matter what you do it won't grow to look a differently way. Sorta like Henry(the OC). He won't believe that things can change, he won't change his view of the world.
