Dt. Sir, I agree with you totally as I have done my Master's degree in History. Some of BJP supporters, who are mostly illiterate, do argue hypothetically to abuse Congress. Neither I am BJP supporter nor Congress, I believe in honest politics that I love my India. Please keep on doing it, as we learn a lot. Regards.
Bjp supporters ARE MOSTLY ILLITERATE..waah re chutttttiiyyy***... You are illiterate. You could pinpoint a person who says this.. NOT RUBBISH STATEMENT..SAAAR ALMOST ALL SUPPORTERS ARE ILLITERATE..SAAAR..
Ishtiaq Sir, I would appreciate it if you could create a detailed video on the hypothetical scenario of what would have happened if all Muslims from India had immigrated to Pakistan after Partition. Analyzing the potential demographic, economic, and political impacts of such a migration could provide valuable insights into the complexities of our history. Your expertise would certainly make this topic enlightening. Thank you for your informative content!
Always Regards to you Sir.... You are an outstanding Historian, Presenter &. Writer and wish people of this sub-continent should feel proud of you. Good health dear Sir.... upkeep sharing your knowledge & feelings. ❤
Very true sir. I read those wikipedia pages earlier. Always felt the romanticising of violence of that era is overwhelming. Some one should show them the mirror. Infact may I humbly suggest an idea for another episode .. Currently there is an appropriation of Sardar Patel and Netaji into one school of thought. Very few know that they were rivals and fought bitter legal battle with each other. Fact of the matter is all were human beings and did their best as per their values. And that should be the guiding force for the current generation. Disowning and dishonoring leaders should not be done. 🙏
Since last 30 year I kept hating m.k gandhi because of this misinformation..thanks Dr. To bring the truth and I will use this video to inform our friends
I am a regular watcher and great.admirer of your research and knowledge reg this sub-continent. Besides the role of Gandhiji's in the case of Bhagat Singh being negated by some ill-informed people, none other than PM Modi said in a public speech few years back Nehru didnt meet Bhagat Singh. The very.next Tribune, an old daily newspaper published from Chandigarh brought out the cutting of their Paper dated 1930-31 which depicted meeting of Nehru with Bhagat Singh in Jail..You can verify this..
Dr.saab....plz do not turn off the comments.Your scholarly work is sometimes abused by idiots, religious bigots on both sides and prejudiced political minds.Your vlog transcends this and is illuminating.
My deep regards. I would like to say something about Lala Lajpat Rai and seek your enlightened response. Lala was injured during the Lathicharge on 30th October, 1928. On the same evening he delivered a very spirited speech before a huge gathering outside the Shah Aalmi Gate in Lahore where he said, "I declare that the blows struck at me today will be the last nails in the coffin of British rule in India." And later on 7-8th November 1928 he even visited Ludhiana and addressed a rally there. He died on 17 Nov. 1928 of Pleurisy. However at the time of his death, an impression went around that he died due to Lathicharge. You are very right that Gandhi did plead for amnesty to Bhagat Singh and his comrades but the severest opposition came from the white bureaucracy at that time because they were increasingly being targeted by the revolutionaries and when the young police officer was killed and a newly married British girl got widowed they were all furious and were in no mood to pardon the killers despite the fact that the very next day after the killing of Sauders, the revolutionaries pasted posters in Lahore expressing grief over the blood shedding. In my opinion the purpose of killing Sauders was not much to avenge the death of Lala Lajpat Rai but to up the sagging morale of the country men in the post Simon Commission scenario. Sadly no systematic, institutional and authentic research has ever been carried out regarding these revolutionaries in India. Punjab University Chandigarh has a Bhagat Singh Chair in their Department of Political Science but not even a single research paper has come out of it. Some years ago I was the director of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Study Centre sponsored by the UGC of India in the college in Ludhiana where I taught, we carried out a survey amongst college level students about their level of awareness about Shaheed Bhagat Singh. Sadly 89 percent of the students coming from various colleges in and around Ludhiana were found to be ignorant about some very basic information about Bhagat Singh. Dr.Ishtiaq Sahib, it is very difficult to teach fact and logic based history in this cursed "Continent of Circe " (Nirad Chaudhary).
It is surprising that you have gathered enough courage to turn the comments on !!! Those who use social media to publicise their views, should not shy away from facing the public, however biased or abusive the public may be !!!!!
Dear sir Regarding 370 abrogation and peace in region I want to say that pak military is there in power till Kashmir issue is there. They won’t ever let success of democratic govt. 2015 Modi visit : uri and balakot 2008 Mumbai attack after Dr Manmohan tried to establish peace 2001 parliament attack So India can’t keep trying and burning its hand till it gets assured about paks behaviour
Faiz Ahmed Faiz, the well- known Urdu poet, was an eye-winess to Saunder's killing. Bhagats Singh and his accomplice fled on a bicycle after killing Saunders.
Ganndhi did not kill anyone. Savarkar got two Englishmen killed by instigating others to do it. So, Savarkar was sent to Kala Pani like any other criminal. One Dhingra belonged to a Punjabi family who were very close to the British. They refused to accepnt their son's dead body. Savarkar is even known to have inspired Godse. Violent crime is different from political resistance.
I respect you a lot, but I don't buy your argument that Mr. Gandhi tried, the emphasis is on the word 'tried', the try was a feeble one. Knowing Gandhi's obstinacy, for which he was world famous, if he really wanted to save Bhagat Singh, one single letter was not enough, the mite of Gandhi was not behind the intent to free Bhagat Singh. You have not understood Gandhi, Sorry to say that; Gandhi always had his way with the British. Also educate me of the number of Congressmen who went to the Cellular Jail in the Andamans, and were subjected to the tortures that Savarkar underwent. In hindsight mere facts do not speak about the character of the Dramatis personae.
Savarkar was instrumental in goading on others to commit two murders and was sent to the Andaman islands as a proven criminal and not for political activism..

Unfortunately, not much is known about Rajguru and Sukhdev. Bhagatsingh rightfully became a Hero. Rajguru and Sukhdave are forgotten
Sukhdev Thapar from Ludhiana, Rajguru from Poona.
Rajguru and Sukhdev are always remembered. Cannot be forgotten. Sorry.
They are third class influencer which been hired by political parties and fund them. In Pakistan a PTI have long chain of social media influencers
Kindly do something to improve fanaticism.
Dr. Saab Sikh police name was chanan Singh not chanan din, sorry from u.s,a.
Police Inspector was Sikh, not muslim , some people shared a photo of Bhaghat Singh in custody of Police Inspector.
He said chanan Singh, listen to it.
Right, in the first video I used Singh but this time I made a mistake.
