- The comeback is almost complete as Phil is only down $155,000 to Veni Vedi after 31 days of action in the Galfond Challenge. Phil was once down $900,000 and kept his mindset about him to almost pull back to even. I go over the latest Galfond Challenge session of the great game of Pot Limit Omaha on Run It Once. I break down some very fun hands and give my take on what I think will happen from here on out. This has been a very epic challenge and I'm happy to be able to break it down.

This shit IS legendary... If it wasn't for COVID19 and "Tiger King" this would be breaking the internet. Though people have more time to pick up a hobby like online poker right now, and traffic is rising because of it, these massive distractions will cost the target customers knowledge of what an accomplishment this really is. Amazing. Win or lose at this point, its still amazing.

So I'm getting this secondhand, but several people have been saying that VeniVidi is questioning the integrity of the RIO site. Apparently he wants to finish the challenge on another site.
It seems like he was running hot and getting Bluffs through before and now running bad and Bluffs aren't working. I doubt galfond would risk the future of his site.

david baugh blinds are 100/200 i believe, so he’d lose 150 each hand making a total of 300k in 2k hands. So no.

Galfond was getting waaay outplayed and losing the all ins on close spots in the first couple weeks. He took the break then came back winning almost all of the all in pots. It is suspicious because Phil owns Run It Once. Papi is friends with Phil. They both seem like great people but the friendship keeps Papi from discussing the possibility for cheating on Phil's end. I've heard Papi and others call Phil a God or say God mode during the challenge recently. I remember when people were calling Postle a God except Papi called it out instead of getting on board. My man Papi has a conflict of interest in discussing the possibility of cheating openly. Same with Stapes!!

We really underestimated the potential swings in a 25000 hand format like this. That said, this isnt the highest level of PLO. I'm not impressed, NOT EVEN A LITTLE BIT.

So basically the Phil Galfond challenge is a negative ev move for Phil no matter what. If he loses he’s a fish and if he wins his site is rigged. Build a solid reputation over 2 decades of playing cards? Check. Invest millions in a poker site? Check. Stir up publicity by offering opponents sweet odds to play you in HU PLO while live streamed and with cards ultimately exposed? Check. Rig your site so that your first challenge allows u to either see your opponents cards or control variance, so you can cheat them right in the open in front of most of the poker community? Wait... What? NO!!!!!
