Awesome video as always! I wanna do more portrait sessions like this and your BTS videos are so good! I was afraid I can't get it all done in a short time and everything seems to be so fast paced and then I realised my UA-cam is playing in 2x speed :D Looks a lot more doable in real-time ;)
This was great, brother! Super cute and always cool to see behind the scenes of other creators. Posing/prompting people is definitely a bigger challenge than most think. Something I'm always working on. Subbed and cheers! Keep going! -Tuan
Awesome BTS and fantastic locations with super cool results. Really inspiring stuff, must have been so much fun. Could I make a few suggestions on the audio side? 1) For that last segment after the shoot, the compressor on your mic is really unpleasant. It’s a combination of a too long attack time, too low threshold and too high compression ratio. That way the beginnings of syllables pop out in a really unnatural way. If you shorten the attack to something below ~25 ms, get a ratio of roughly 1:2.5 and set the threshold to a point where you’re getting 5 dB of gain reduction MAX (no need for anything beyond that when it’s just speech as opposed to singing with music), you’re in a really good spot. 2) Common problem with lav mics: it sounds kinda congested. You could try using an EQ to pull out the 250 Hz area, and try boosting the high end starting at 9-10 kHz. In a scenario like this, I think that would make your voice sound more natural. 3) For me personally, the volume balance at the end wasn’t ideal. With the frequency response of the voice recording, the music grabs my attention more than it should. Even with perfect voice editing, I feel like the music could have been about 3 dB quieter. I am pretty sensitive to this kind of thing tho (which I guess is a good thing for an audio engineer, but not a good thing as a consumer =)) Hope this didn’t sound to negative. I love your work and BTS videos are an incredible resource for learning. Keep it up. =)
love watching you guys!! post more please!!
Thanks so much! More videos are coming soon!
