Is this much different that the sharpening tools built into Lightroom Classic?
While taking a photo which is much easier Auto Focus AF or Manual Focus MF.
Auto focus is easier! The cameras today have incredible auto focus capabilities
@@fortemke Thanks 🙏
Very helpful video, thanks!
dont prefer the look of shooting above subjects eyes, creates a shrinkage feel - notice you do it all day long
The 'shrinkage' effect you mentioned is actually something I use to my advantage-since the part of the subject closest to the lens appears the largest, it naturally slims the rest of the body while drawing attention to the face when you shoot an isometric angle. This technique creates a flattering, dynamic look that works beautifully for wide-angle portraits and has become a signature part of my style that clients consistently love!
Coming from the GH4 and the Olympus E-M1, I'm finding the S5 mk II a consistent choice. I would think that Panasonic hasn't got their image writing on 135 Format quite right yet. They should be able to fix that, but changing cards may help as well. I've noticed in just the first month some idiosyncrasies that the GH4 didn't have. Now, I just need to find other lenses.
Best thing i learned from this is that I can make mask presets, now it's worth doing the work to upgrade the mask edits I do, thank you
This was great! Thanks so much.
great video! Thank you!
Easy! Thanks for the quick tip.
Those are some fabulous photos. I did not know panasonic is in the game now. Can you tell me how AF works in low light? S5ii is very tempting to pick as main system for hybrid wedding photographer. How is the buffer clearance after burst of photos? Will it let me to switch from photo to video instantly? Thanks for great content.
Thanks for the great video. Is this by the Dillon Reservoir?
Yes, this is!!
Great tips, do you use only 1 body with 35mm? I see you don't do dual strap
The videographer was so nice!
how to you brush?
Thank you for the wonderful tips
Seriously, I have 2 Lumix S1's...there just pure workhorses...amazing photos, amazing video....forever a panasonic fan!
That bonus tip is a game changer for me! I've been working as a second all year, but just had my first couple session last week. Pictures turned out great, but it could've gone so much smoother and taken half the time.
Watching so many of your videos, stumbled on this one by accident. I had my 85mm set to Manual focus, this technique rescued about a dozen slightly out of focus photos. Thankyou so very very much!!! First time ever this happened to me and I was so frustrated. I will always check my lenses to make sure I don't accidently bump the switch again!
thanks for making the tutorial I appreciate you taking the time to make this.
I hear many recommend between 80-120 shutter, since the flash freezer some motion. - Do you ALWAYS keep shutter at 200?
please show the pictures when they were happening and not do all the talk and then only show pictures. Would be great to see which directions ended in which results. I see people just skip forward to see pictures and miss your directions you gave to the couple.
Glad to see you uploading, such awesome work man. I pray all is well with you, life throws curve balls non stop..but God is in control. Thank you for your hard work and posting it for us to see and learn; And what a location, ooo man, I'm from the valley (south texas RGV) and let me tell you we don't have anything like these beautiful landscapes...you're blessed!!
Thank you so much, very nice explained !
Your bacckground music is a distraction and cannot watch further.
❤ what are the lens?
OMG you are a lifesaver!!!!!!! So good !!! Thank you so much ❤❤❤❤
Which lens were you using
I can’t even get past the control j part. Unable to follow through. New layer is blank and filter won’t apply. Help!
make sure your background layer is selected when you ctrl+j. Or, drag your BG layer to the [ + ] new layer icon in the bottom right.
Insanely valuable video. My adhd completely disappeared, and I absorbed every word you said without a single shift in my attention.
Great video and images! Subbed here and IG! Rented the S5IIX and playing with it for video and photos. So far really like the results coming from it photo and video. So how is the S5II one year in?
I decided for Panasonic for photos. The thing is they put EVERYTHING in their bodies. Besides being very competitive in photography, their cameras always contain all of the video features that usually cost extra money in other brands. People will say Lumix is for video just because it supports dozens of codecs and has a V-log. How about highres photo, possible handheld? How about 1.5s preburst in RAW? How about insane stabilization, no AA filter for extra detail in photos, focus stacking, 6k photo and other insane features? I mean, R3 doesn't even have a preburst! But the biggest issue is Panasonic can't sell themselves for photography. All of their marketing, influencers, ambassadors, everybody does video. Noone is propagating photography. So yeah, people then assume it's for videographers only. The good thing is Panasonic is so bad at promoting photography they have to give people free stuff. I bought my S5II + 20-60 with free 50/1.8 and free 85/1.8 which are both really good lens. And they have to do this to get people on board for photography. Honestly I was shooting Canon, Fuji and Nikon and I finally found myself in Panasonic. Compared to everything, I didn't honestly see I had worse AF performance or anything, but I have better lens options and much more features for overall everything, photo and video.
Wow very informative! Can’t thank you enough. Can’t wait to give this a go.
I just love the vibe from your edits
Spectacular video. It should have 100k views at least!
Love the “smiling into the kiss” tip. Thank you!
amazing bts as always! the way you interact with them and you calm demeanor really helps the couple get comfortable. anyway, 18:50 did you bump into that little girl? 😅😅
Beautiful!
Where can I find the preset I just made for this?
I have the same question!!!! Did you figure it out yet ?
Great Job Matt. Really insightful and helpful
Would be more useful if you share the camera settings for the pictures….
WOW.. nice work man
Bro one question, how do u manage the auto exposure screen when using flash on the lumix?
Sterile
Thanks I am a commercial product photographer and my son and daughter are due in oct. so thanks for the tips this type of work is out of zone
Glad it was helpful!
I'd love to know how you set up your camera for a wedding. Great work!
What camera was filming this ? What lens ?
Dang…just bought a S5iiX and I’m wondering if I made a mistake. The lack of reliability is a huge concern for me.
We still shoot with it every day and have no issues on the video end of things!
Would be happy to hear your thoughts about it, I’m planning on getting the Lumix s5 ii over the a6700. Is it worth it?
z6 mkII is not a budget gear
What light do you use on your Camera ? 6:20
can you do the same thing on the other lightroom ugh
