Nice video but as i am only a UL Pilot with 600kg max, you can land pretty much anywhere so no need to calculate your W.B. I think for flying only VFR and as an UL Pilot, SkyDemon is the obvious option here, even tho Foreflight offers clearly more options, i doubt it that you ever use more then SkyDemon already offers. And last but not least, regarding the weather information inside the app, never rely on one source of data only. Look up the weather from an independant source too.
Thank you for this video. Good luck with your channel & I just subscribed. I tried quickly on simulator garmin, SD and FF and I still can’t make a choice... not currently ´navigating’ for real, just started my ppl in may!
Hey there, thanks for your comment! You‘ll figure it out for yourself after a longer time of usage! All the best for your ppl training, enjoy the flying!!
I personally would say start with SD then 'step up' to FF once you've got your PPL and a bit of experience. The ease of use of SD is unmatched and FF has features you're unlikely to use for the first 100 or so hours of your flying.
In my case i chose FF for VFR flight, because it had more traffic circuits in the database than skydemon. I don't know why SD missed some. I fly on a few airports without ICAO code, and all of these airports have no traffic pattern. FF shows these. Also it seems for me the better "all in one" solution and i don't feel comfortable with the map of SD.
Hi, thanks for your channel! ;) I've a simple question: I'm stuck in the choice Ipad vs Ipad mini. Which one is the best choice by your point of view? I fly regularly as private pilot only SEP mainly in day VFR and the space in the cockpit is an important factor. Furthermore, do you know if you can interface a Garmin D2C aviation watch with the two apps or an ipad "cellular" is mandatory to benefit of the plane trace and telemetry in the screen? Thanks!
Hi :) Sorry for the late reply and thanks a lot for your comment! For SEP I personally favour the Ipad mini. GA cockpits are small and space is limited, the form factor of the mini is perfect for these conditions I think. I recently ordered the new Ipad Mini 6, it is currently being shipped and I'll do a video on that in the upcoming weeks. Subscribe in order not to miss it ;) Unfortunately I can't answer the question recarding the Garmin D2C watch, all I know is that only the cellular Ipads have onboard GPS receivers, Wifi-only versions don't have that!
@@ASWISSPILOT Thanks, this is what I think as well. The iPad mini, especially the new 6 version with a bigger screen than the previous one, is perfect for little planes. Can't wait for your review! Thanks!
Why not? It works butter smooth even on low budget devices (but that depends more on a processor type, because a lot of apps are optimized for Snapdragon, even though Kirin is more faster).
So, for your comparison, you chose an app which doesn't support Android, the single largest mobile OS market in the world. Got to 6 minutes in and stopped watching. Complete wasn't of time.
Excellent comparison and a very clear description of each product. Nicely done! Thanks. Wayne

Hi there! Thanks for your comment 😃 Yes for VFR in Ultralight/ LSA Skydemon will be a good choice for sure! All the best ;)

I use a Samsung Tab S2 8inch on ram mount or on my lap in a knee board.
I think 8 inch is the perfect size for SEP.
Very well done. my compliments! I just subscribed your channel. Claudio, based in LSZI!
Thanks Claudio :)
Claudio! Io e te abbiamo volato all’aeritalia nel 97 assieme..avevo 4 o 5 anni..suun PA28 con marche I-ENDE !
Davide Marrone ciao... magari! Temo tu mi stia scambiando con qualcun altro! Mi dispiace! Ho preso la mia prima licenza per ultraleggeri nel 2004...
Or Easy VFR 4?
Recently I moved from skydemon to easyvfr4
Much cheaper can be even free and the same quality
👍🏽
Would you use Sky Demon with an Android tablet?

I already do. Never had a problem, never heard of problems.
Ifly
skydemon is better
sky deamon the best for foreflight
ifr navigate only
I have no idea what you just said here...
What does this mean mr. brain ?

I think not writing these type of comment will be a wiser way to not waste you're time. It takes time to produce these videos.
