When people keep comparing Ai and Ran and underappreciating Ran's personality, they r undervaluing the beauty of kindness and courage which Ran possesses. She is designed to be a typical, sweet and strong teenage anime heroine, because that kind of character works much better in romantic development with the main hero. However she is far from plain. When people keep saying Ran is weak, keep in mind: she saved Conan, Ai, Sonoko and other many times. She defrost the evil heart of Vermouth, lighting up a hope of a guardian angel in Vermouth. She threw herself to protect Ai under rain of bullets without knowing what is happening. And most of all, after such a long time, she still keeps the same faith in Shinichi and never doubts his intentions even if that causes her misery and heartache. Ran is the type girl that embraces problems while Haibara, as depicted in the series, always runs away from it. If this is not being strong , what is?

Best female characters for me goes to Ran. What ever ppl said she's weakness, useless and boring. There's no one can replace how kind she is. Her pure heart. She cares people around, she strong, even tho she doesn't know what's going on, for her she need to protect people first. And how Gosho created the relationship story that Vermouth, Ran & Shinichi had is so amazing. I kind of interest how Gosho could end the last confrontation. I had feeling these three going to have a special confrontation.

I don't know the reason why but I actually like Vermouth's personality. She is beautiful, talented, intelligent and sometimes she can be pretty kind to Shinichi and Ran. She knew Conan is Shinichi but she didn't tell Gin or anyone else. She dared to tell a lie to the BOSS just to make sure that Shinichi and Ran are safe. She's still an angel but has black wings. I hope Aoyama Gosho won't let her die in the final chapter. By the way I think Ran is the best character, sometimes she may be a little bit annoying but she has such a pure heart that can change Vermouth's personality. Ran and Haibara actually care for each other so I think it's kinda stupid to argue who will be Shinichi's lover because the two girls are all great!
Why there’s a faction where the two girls disregard Shinichi and get together instead. They are both great girls, but the preference their shippers have defines them. I like characters like Vermouth and Bourbon, they’ve been through so much that any amount of kindness reshapes their view on the world while making them do things that seems out of character. I doubt she would get killed off though, with Shinichi’s promise to bring her to justice *alive*, so that could prove detrimental

This is why Vermouth is one of my favourite organisation characters. Despite being so ruthless deep down she cares about Ran and Shinichi and would risk her life not only by leaving them alive but by lying directly to Gin and the boss to keep them alive Also imagine how things would have played out if Ran didn’t save Vermouth or didn’t make it in time especially given her impact on the story.
The old ost of this series was so phenomenal really gives life to the scenes of the series along with the old art style . The new episodes don’t even use them anymore.
I agree.. The sacrifice she makes for saving a person's life, without caring about her own, is exactly what Shinichi would also do. They are meant for each other...
yeah :) and also, the most important part in the NY's arc is that scene, imo. Shinichi didn't suggest Ran to save the serial killer (Vermouth), however he's perfectly able to explain the reason why she did, why he himself would and did do the same.
I also feel the same intensity of love for Ran chan. I love her so much that I don't want anyone to hurt her. Especially those co-ai shippers who call her insulting names.
Vermouth appears to be an atheist as in she doesnt believe in the existence of god or angels (most likely she was born in a complicated childhood that brought her into living a life filled with blood and cruelty) yet, after being saved by two kids despite knowing all of her wrong doings, she seems to have gained a bit of faith. For Vermouth, they're both probably her salvation. This scene hits me hard.

This is why Vermouth is one of my favourite organisation characters. Despite being so ruthless deep down she cares about Ran and Shinichi and would risk her life not only by leaving them alive but by lying directly to Gin and the boss to keep them alive
Also imagine how things would have played out if Ran didn’t save Vermouth or didn’t make it in time especially given her impact on the story.

yeah :) and also, the most important part in the NY's arc is that scene, imo. Shinichi didn't suggest Ran to save the serial killer (Vermouth), however he's perfectly able to explain the reason why she did, why he himself would and did do the same.

Vermouth appears to be an atheist as in she doesnt believe in the existence of god or angels (most likely she was born in a complicated childhood that brought her into living a life filled with blood and cruelty) yet, after being saved by two kids despite knowing all of her wrong doings, she seems to have gained a bit of faith. For Vermouth, they're both probably her salvation. This scene hits me hard.
