recently i tried binging all of detective conan, and i started with the english dub! although not 100% faithful to the original material, it’s still a good watch and it’s surprisingly hilarious! these were my favourite moments!
the humor in these lines are great (at least the ones that i found) - Розваги

i cant get over shinichi's dub voice, he does it SO WELL and i cant hear him any other way
VA’s really having fun, and that’s why I love the dub!
Okay so apparently there isn’t much difference between Taste Closed and the official dub
Also the implication that they need a translator to understand a simple English accent-

The voice of Shinichi/Jimmy is my favorite VA, he's just so deadpan and hilarious.
One of the best aspects of the conan dub! Love that shinichi gets to play a role, and the voice actor does it so well 😄
Wait, you’re telling me they didn’t even bother translating the British guy’s dialogue into another language to preserve the tension?

The only one you’re missing is when Richard gets a little token with his coat rack number, which is 96, and he says “hey that’s almost my favorite number” It lives in my head rent free

@@fakename6966 This might be one of the only english conan videos out there on UA-cam, at least posted recently… I’m happy that there are so many English viewers who are interested, even in present day!
@@ItsHenryGreen I made one that got taken down, though sometimes I see someone reupload it. I'm sure there's been more than that one uploaded seven years ago too. I'm so glad the dub is still getting appreciation though!

I watch it in the Arabic dub and the voice actors are almost identical to the english it's scary

animesuge.to has the least ads in my experience so i recommend that, only few popup websites
(i recorded all of this using kissanime but i highly do not recommend)
Look for dubs of episode 1-130 and movies 1-6 and that should be the old funination dub

@@ItsHenryGreen I grew up watching it dubbed in my native language, thinking that was the original. Later, I realized it was edited to fit our culture. I decided to watch it in English but was shocked to find it wasn't fully dubbed. I tried watching in Japanese, but I don't like reading subtitles, so I never finished it. Still bummed about it

No, sorry, it’s been many months since I first watched them. A weird thing was the english dub and Japanese dub have different episode numbers, so I watched it pretty mismatched
2:01 This is…so damn odd, like you speaking English, how can’t you understand that guy? They did the same joke in the Great Ace Attorney, but it’s so weird that it’s confusing.
The cast of Detective Conan is Japanese. All those kids, except Conan, do not speak English very well. The man yelling is from London. In London they speak English. Not Japanese. You gotta remember that even though this is a English dub, they (the kids) are actually speaking Japanese. But not the man, as he is a character in a video game they are taking part in.
It's like you start a video game up and select a language that you do not know. So you can't understand the cutscenes very well. No subtitles either.
