When every vloger photographer is complaining about the bulk and weight of their equipment, what does Morten do?... He starts to carry extra equipment for sound recording!!! Thanks for sharing Morten... see you out there!
Watching him cross the shallow pond I thought he was also carrying Sussie. Morten, what a guy. Used to be a cook, now working with a scientist to do wonderful research. Lovely to see the badgers interact. They are a little like Coatimundis or little monkeys.
Morten, I want to thank you for introducing me to wildlife photography. Being on the meadow, watching and photographing deers and hares made me so peaceful and happy but also filled me with excitement and andventure. I don't always get good pictures, because i only have a 70-300mm to work with, and I dont want to disturb the animals. But it's such an amazing feeling when I do get a sharp and close picture of a deer. Thank you Morten for bringing me joy.
Thanks a lot Balazs. I have a 600mm and I rarely get good photos, but sometimes I am lucky. It is not only about the photos but about the excitement, the joy and the peace you feel when spending time in nature. I wish you all the best - see you out there..
'It is not only about the photos but about the excitement, the joy and the peace you feel when spending time in nature'. This is why I will be a photographer one day.
Hey Stefan. Keep your chin up, I went through a bad time a few years back but found just getting out with my camera for just a few hours was a remedy that no doctor could have prescribed. Also, the way you feel at the moment has a shelf life, things won’t be this shitty forever. Keep getting out with that camera. Mark🇬🇧
After moving to another state, I just back into photography. We have a local park here where there are tons of birds but also a family of coyotes that I’ve taken a liking to. I watched one walk out in the open with a whole, fresh rabbit in it’s mouth. I watched (and photographed) for 10 minutes while it had “breakfast”. Watching your videos inspires me to keep going out. Keep up the good work and thank you for posting.
Thank you Morten for bringing back my passion for wildlife photography. I became obsessed with getting the best photo I could and forgot why I was out there taking shots in the first place. Its so much better to be outside in my local countryside just admiring the nature, and if I get a good photo its a nice bonus. Again, thank you very much and please never stop making these wonderful videos.
I think I share with many, that when I see the new Morten video, it’s time to stop everything else and shut the phone off. It’s exciting to see what it will include. Another beautiful video. Wonderfully put together. Always extra effort is put in with multiple angles etc. Beautiful music to accompany outstanding photography . Thank you, Morten.
As a photojournalist I've spent my life pointing my lens at some of the most horrible things you can imagine. The beauty you experience has got to make a day at the office really good. Your talent and your caring for the world around you is amazing. Best of luck to you sir.
I just love it when I see the work you put into the video to make it a story, set up video camera then go back and walk into the shot, into the house carrying bags, then set up the camera again in the house and carry stuff back into the house again to keep the flow going. And every time you walk out of shot you have to go back for the camera. So impressive especially in the Ellesmere island classic videos. You are inspiring.
your videos are pure art as well as your photographs. there is just something about your videos that no one else has. you have something special here Morten keep up the great work!
Morten, Your passion, professionalism, shear will, talent and overwhelming efforts are an inspiration to watch. I thank you for it all, and thanks for being in this world with us. Hands down one my favorite Wildlife Photographers. Best wishes
Your stories makes your photos more amazing and that Deer photo made me say Whao!! and the music that went with it made me realize of how beautiful nature is.
Currently having to undergoes surgery, and will have a 9 month recovery before I can go out and take pictures. These videos are magical for me and help me experience so many emotions while being unable to go anywhere. Truly remarkable video, the music and photos you captured made me want to drop everything and go feel the world around me, excited to see more!
Great video and awesome enthusiasm! Amazing audio sounds. Your passion is pushing me to get more in the woods. Thanks for sharing and can’t wait for part 3!
Thank you for sharing your process with us. It's funny to me that the images of the Badger and Roe Deer while not in focus are still amazingly beautiful because of their intimacy. Looking forward to the next episode.
It has been a long wait, but definitely worth it! I am really loving the natural sounds added to the video,it really brings the ambiance of the forest home. Look forward to the next installment !
Hey Morten! Great video again! I really like the pictures you showed in the video. But I knew it before I saw them. It was exactly as you always say. Even if the pictures are good, they are worthless if an animal got disturbed. But they're getting even more better with great experiences or storys behind them, even they are technicaly not perfect. After your story behind the picutures of the deer, I thought they had to be great, no matter how they look. By seeing the pictures I could feel like I was sitting there with you and watched the deer passing by. Maybe it sounds a little bit over the top, but that was what I was thinking in that moment. Thanks for waking up my interest in that kind of photography!
It is so nice to hear Sebastian and I am so glad you took your time to send me a comment. It is alway super encouraging to know how you enjoy watching these small adventures. All the best.
Morten, I want to thank you so much for all of the effort you put in to creating these videos. 2020 has been an incredibly stressful year and watching your videos with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine truly is a much needed cathartic experience for me. The soundtracks that you have chosen are so calming and meditative. To have these delightful videos to watch and the added bonus of learning so much about wildlife photography is truly a magnificent gift. Thank you so very, very much. Someday, when I am not working so much, I aspire to be as skilled a wildlife photographer and videographer as you.
what a fantastic episode Morten. The story telling, video and images really make this compelling viewing. The amount of work you put into creating this is to be commended
Your explaining is so genuine and honest ! I am still a student and cant do stuff like this, but when i am big enough i can do camping and photography and have experiences like this 😍😍🙏🙏 waiting for moments like this
Just sat down with my 3 year old son to watch Morten H at work, awesome way to start the day:-) Although i May have to watch it again later as my boy keeps asking questions about you! Mainly why is he on his own all the time, lol... vlog looking superb so far 🙏👍

Morton, I carried my tripod, a couple camera bodies, two heavy tele-primes and a 70-200mm...I'm so sore. I'll watch a your videos until my muscles/joints heal. Keep up the great work, Love every bit of it.
It amazes me to think that you set up the camera to capture the B-Roll footage, whether its panning the trees, you walking past, or your shoes as you use your binoculars. I tend to forget that you have to set the camera up to capture all that, with no help. It's incredible that you capture all those little things, and its those things that make your videos the same as a TV documentary quality. Love everything you do! Thanks for being my inspiration for not only getting into photography, but striving to improve! Now where did I leave my coffee...?
Coffee is ready, lets watch Morten whispering :D
Hahaha i got my tea ready.
