Watching his videos is way better than watch Ken and Barbie reading specs and saying the camera is trash. Morten shows these cameras are amazing, surviving Svalbard and Ellesmere. These are just tools, and should not stand in the way of the real magic, which is being out there and enjoying your life.

Hi Morten, The only problem with turning the area into a National Park is too many people will visit and it will not be that quiet deserted area that you are use to. Great Vlog as always.

What a delightful video, Morten! Your love and enthusiasm of your environment really shows. I am so glad you moved to the country to be closer to nature and your photography adventures. Thank you for sharing your time with the badgers, the bees, the berries, and your little dog. I hope your forest becomes a national park. You make a good point at the end of your video about the seasons. One should appreciate each of them for their special characteristics. My Danish husband never did like the winters but I find them charming. I liked the fire in the fireplace, the candles glowing, and the coziness of it all. Anyway, enjoy your jam and honey and your time in nature. I will look forward to each and every one of your videos.

Watching him pick blackberries and make jam reminded me of my childhood. We had loads of blackberry bushes where I grew up. We would spend summers eating wild berries and making forts under the arching branches. Good memories! Thank you Morton for bringing those back to me.
I also loved watching all the rest like the deer in the fog and the honeybees. I hope your bees continue to prosper!

My daughter and I were out listening to the booming calls of rutting stags yesterday evening. My photos were not the quality you would see from Morten, but the experience is fantastic. I live in Mid Wales and the deer in the park around Powis castle are used to humans, but the males have been known to attack humans if you get too close this time of year. Please respect their space if you visit.

The soft sounds that you hear in the forest are called "whispering pines".. There is nothing like it, so peaceful. We hiked in the mountains one time and rested underneath pine trees and were lulled to sleep by the beautiful sounds. I love your philosophy in life, you're so caring and kind. Also admire the photos that you take, so beautiful. Thank you for the My Noridc Life Vlogs, there is nothing like it to bring peace to the mind and soul.

i really love all your videos and your vlogs and you're such an inspiration. Thanks to your videos I decided to go with some friends in the mountains for 3 days to photograph wild animals and it was a really a great experience. I learned from you to wait, be patient and to take my time to take pictures of wild animals. I woke up early at 5 one morning while my friends were sleeping and I enjoyed the sun rising above the mountains. My battery was running low but after 2 hours observing around I saw a deer far away on the crest of the mountain. 20 seconds, no more. It was totally worth waiting 2 hours and I'll do it again. Thanks again! I just pre-ordered you calendar and I'm really looking forward to seeing it. Thanks again for everything!

This is the first video on this channel that I watched and I'm just delighted, this calm rhythm, the soft colors, the sound of forest and simple but so unbeliveble things as keep a honey for winter. The facial expressions on your face and the joy in your eyes when you see some changes in the forest and his inhabitants make me enjoy life these minutes what is pretty hard because I'm from Ukraine. Thank you for sharing these moments.

@@MortenHilmer By the way, it was also my first time in a hired hide. And I have some doubts about this practice. It's educational and an awesome experience to see animals that close without being noticed. But they feed the animals so they come to you. And I'm not sure at all about this human intervention. Obviously they wouldn't come without being feeded, but is that ethically right? it has sense on one hand, but this human intervention... What do you think about it? it could be interesting to know your thoughts about it. I would understand if you prefer to avoid that topic though, as it could be quite controversial.

beekeping is a tradition in our family and that exact moment is the most fulfilling.
especially if do it the good way and only harvest once a year and not twice( to feed them with sugar afterwards)
