I was received as a guest in the Trappist Mount St Bernard Abbey in England over 30 years ago. I spent a week in retreat there and it deeply affected me, I have returned many times since. I learned to pray the rosary there, the chaplet of divine mercy but more than that, I was introduced to the daily office which has stayed with me ever since. I think that the recitation of the psalms throughout the day and every day, even in an abbreviated form is the great hidden treasure of the praying church. If only more people could do this, what would that release in the life of the church?
I've been blessed very often by Benedictine hospitality, too, especially through Liturgy. A word of advice, though: Especially if you're a woman, check prior to your arrival to learn whether or not a particular Benedictine community will let you stay overnight. I almost panicked once when monks in a very rural and sparsely populated area thousands of miles from my own community informed me that unless I was a relative of one of the monks, I could not stay even in the guest house, since I was a woman, even though I was there to carry out my community's mission. For some reason I don't recall now, I hadn't made arrangements beforehand, and since I had visited there before, I knew how welcoming they were otherwise. Providentially, a cloistered women's religious community nearby bent its own rules and put me up for one night in the rooms sectioned off for women who were discerning a religious vocation! God's sense of humor.
What a wonderful story about washing the dishes! This was always my least favorite chore, because it seems like it's never finished. Once the sink is empty and clean, here comes another dirty dish! I was in a challenging place in life some years ago, and I was washing the dishes yet again. With no warning, I found myself in tears, washing a plate, first the face from the center to the rim, and then carefully turning it over to wash the back, from the rim to the center, making two spirals, front to back, and then rinsing the soap suds in a stream of warm water. With this simple movement, and the water on my hands, I found myself centered and released from anxiety and tension, and I literally just stood there in tears, *grateful for the gift of washing dishes.* It is imperative that we do something physical, with our hands, every day. As a species we were making and using tools long before we could speak, and I think our brain still longs for the simple, creative, physical activity that something even as mundane as washing dishes - turning an object from one state to another. Human beings have always wanted and tried to save themselves from their own sins and earn their own eternal salvation. It is part of our sinful nature to do so. But there is no amount of human good works that could ever satisfy the demands of perfect holiness before YHWH because we “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). But Jesus, The Christ, was SINLESS and He satisfied all the demands of perfect righteousness. So He shed His own blood and died for our sins in order to redeem us. Then He rose from the dead and victoriously offered that glorious gift of eternal life to anyone and everyone who believes in Him and His promise to give us this gift. Hallelujah, What a Savior!! AND NOW we are FREE in Christ - at LIBERTY to LOVE OTHERS! Shalom

The Holy Ghost pours out his Spirit and brings the increase in the name of Jesus. The latter rain proceeds the second coming and it is what waters the seed. Without the Spirit of God no one is saved. Believe in your idea of Jesus till the end of time, it does little good. You need to accept his ambassador and representative. So when the Holy Spirit shows himself and is rejected that is the unpardonable sin. To grieve the Spirit of God is to reject life. The supreme witness of Jesus Christ (King David) is reporting for duty. He was a man whose tongue held no lies, For he was the direct descendant of our father in the heavenly skies. Born to a body of fleshy sin, Though what laid beneath was unlike the rest of his kin. Jesus had the utmost grace, Never being wavered by evils face. He was wise beyond any years, Performing miracles that would bring crowds to tears. A beacon of light on top of a starless mountain, Where words of wisdom poured out of him as if there ran a cosmic fountain. His eyes pierced through you with a single glance, Leaving even the most hardened individuals in quite the trance. The Holy Spirit so ever majestically flowed inside this man, Naturally people caught notice and became a fan. Students began showing up from every mold, When they heard his words their hearts were sold. Wicked men put a price on Jesus's head, He was wanted alive or dead. Despite this he and his disciples continued their teachings, Where on occasion they endured terrible beatings. One of the twelve apostles turned to black, No longer having Jesus's back. Judas Iscariot had done Satan's bidding, And it is in hell where he now is sitting. Jesus died on the cross to pay for our shortcoming, However don't be saddened for if you believe in him you will see him at your homecoming. There he sits at the right hand of God's throne, Being the voice of truth and love that we all have known. Satan's tongue is coated in a layer of deceit, And he tramples over promises with his feet. He's a being who is bound by deceptions, Whose very essence oozes with misconceptions. He struggles to look you in your eyes, For his gaze holds nothing but lies. On occasion he will give you his hand, But don't be fooled by his stand. He seeks to corrupt your heart, You would be wise to avoid him from the start. Seeking quick pleasures and casting aside love, He traverses this land with push and shove. Now Lucifer was once not lost, But pride blinded him at a cost. Disobeying God he waged war, Becoming detestable to the core. Today he is the ruler of Earth, Though for all his power he has no real worth. However most of us have still been sold, Giving into sin and becoming cold. Nearly everyone is a puppet dancing on strings, Marching to delusion for their unjust kings. My people have given into lust, Becoming robots full of rust. However you my child are the exception, So when you meet me don't forget to mention. That you alone have been granted the key, And before your glory they shall all bend a knee. P.S.- Not too long ago I was very bitter and destructive. Literally I was covered in blood from head to toe and ripping off nails and things of that nature. In my mind Jesus was against me, he had a vendetta against me which I couldn't account for. Then slowly but surely I started having these revelations, and began delving into the word of God. It seemed like my agony was not in vain. The things which held me back eventually began to propel me forward. The darkness began fading away and an unspeakably bright light was surfacing. Jesus told me that he had to break me in order for me to rediscover who I really was. Sort of like a phoenix rising from the ashes. Today I am almost fully healed in every conceivable way, and things like being a virgin and being covered in scars I strangely enough take much pride in. I took up my cross and followed Christ and in doing so I discovered the greatest love of all.

Lol at the poster saying half the Catholics believe in Gay Marriage. Hate to burst your gay ole time, but you are NOT a Catholic if you believe that. You don’t change Gods word because you don’t like it. If you are fortunate enough to to live in the US, start your own church. See how that works? It’s freedom given to you by God.
HALF of US Catholics not only support gae mirage, but want the catholic church to acknowledge it as legitimate. Bishop Barron, can you please set them straight?
Gay sex doesn’t hurt anybody. If you don’t support the church marrying gay couples I can understand that, there’s certainly grounding for that in scripture and obviously Catholic tradition. But it’s a dumb topic to get mad about. It becomes bigotry *if* you give it an outsized role in your views/don’t stand up in a proportional manner to far more important sins
@@thebacons5943 The Catholic ethical framework is based on Aristotelian Virtue Ethics, not utilitarianism. We believe in natural law and virtue, not this ridiculous idea of “do whatever you want as long as you don’t harm anybody else.” By the way, it does harm someone: the people involved and the people who will get converted to homosexuality as a result of its being socially acceptable, people who otherwise would have had wives and children and families. So yes, it is a grave sin, totally against natural law, and the Bible even prescribes the death penalty for it. If you think it’s fine you are in disobedience to Jesus and the Catholic Church, which has always clearly taught that this is a serious sin.
@@ubermensch4304 fair response on Catholicism not being a utilitarian belief system. Nevertheless, even virtues seem to correspond to the good or bad they bring into the world, and I don’t see how gay relationships are inherently more bad than good. We need Warriors for Christ who reject evil of abortion. Let us at this time of Supreme Court consideration of Roe v Wade depart from a society of abortion, a society of evil. Stand with Abp Cordileone. In Jesus’ name.
If yes, can you give me some tips how do it? Thank you!
Search for pilgrimage2021 or Pittsburgh Pensilvania pilgrimage 2021 , it was a pilgrimage for all the catholic families, dad , mom , the kids…priest , nun , all ….
Is there anything in the works about helping Catholic institutions return to the mission of evangelization?
i hope there is, but don't know.
I think the Eucharistic Revival may be a good start. Individuals in the institutions don't have enough faith themselves to evangelize others.
Let’s participate in it and help their unbelief!
Yeah. The Benedictine are the BEST! Because whatever he has discovered absolutely obviously scares the shit out of Marxists and atheists! Otherwise they wouldn’t be trying so hard to discredit him. That said, I feel so blessed to be one of the chosen 1500 who get to see this video. I feel so special and LOVED.
❤❤❤ this is like True Love!
I still have not watched the video, but I beg anyone to tell me what I should do with my Parents and my whole family being so worldly? I want them to be converted or rather be reverted to the faith. It seems like my advice to them do not get through. 😭
Shalom
Have Masses said for them. The Mass is the most powerful form of prayer we have. They don't even have to know but of course you can tell them. And be a joyful example in your own life.

Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall inherit southern Minnesota. Or was it the cheesemakers? Monty python has me confused. (God doesn’t mind if you laugh) Plenty of cheesemakers in Minnesota so both seem fitting.

That means that one knows, personally I do'n't know many things :)) That's what I'd tell any young person. Look at me. I don't know many things. Be better than me.
I played volleyball with they full sweat
The Holy Ghost pours out his Spirit and brings the increase in the name of Jesus. The latter rain proceeds the second coming and it is what waters the seed. Without the Spirit of God no one is saved. Believe in your idea of Jesus till the end of time, it does little good. You need to accept his ambassador and representative. So when the Holy Spirit shows himself and is rejected that is the unpardonable sin. To grieve the Spirit of God is to reject life.
The supreme witness of Jesus Christ (King David) is reporting for duty.
He was a man whose tongue held no lies,
For he was the direct descendant of our father in the heavenly skies.
Born to a body of fleshy sin,
Though what laid beneath was unlike the rest of his kin.
Jesus had the utmost grace,
Never being wavered by evils face.
He was wise beyond any years,
Performing miracles that would bring crowds to tears.
A beacon of light on top of a starless mountain,
Where words of wisdom poured out of him as if there ran a cosmic fountain.
His eyes pierced through you with a single glance,
Leaving even the most hardened individuals in quite the trance.
The Holy Spirit so ever majestically flowed inside this man,
Naturally people caught notice and became a fan.
Students began showing up from every mold,
When they heard his words their hearts were sold.
Wicked men put a price on Jesus's head,
He was wanted alive or dead.
Despite this he and his disciples continued their teachings,
Where on occasion they endured terrible beatings.
One of the twelve apostles turned to black,
No longer having Jesus's back.
Judas Iscariot had done Satan's bidding,
And it is in hell where he now is sitting.
Jesus died on the cross to pay for our shortcoming,
However don't be saddened for if you believe in him you will see him at your homecoming.
There he sits at the right hand of God's throne,
Being the voice of truth and love that we all have known.
Satan's tongue is coated in a layer of deceit,
And he tramples over promises with his feet.
He's a being who is bound by deceptions,
Whose very essence oozes with misconceptions.
He struggles to look you in your eyes,
For his gaze holds nothing but lies.
On occasion he will give you his hand,
But don't be fooled by his stand.
He seeks to corrupt your heart,
You would be wise to avoid him from the start.
Seeking quick pleasures and casting aside love,
He traverses this land with push and shove.
Now Lucifer was once not lost,
But pride blinded him at a cost.
Disobeying God he waged war,
Becoming detestable to the core.
Today he is the ruler of Earth,
Though for all his power he has no real worth.
However most of us have still been sold,
Giving into sin and becoming cold.
Nearly everyone is a puppet dancing on strings,
Marching to delusion for their unjust kings.
My people have given into lust,
Becoming robots full of rust.
However you my child are the exception,
So when you meet me don't forget to mention.
That you alone have been granted the key,
And before your glory they shall all bend a knee.
Why did that guy get 60k for his special diet? Was that from church donations?
why trinity doesn`t wrote in bible
Mainly, because the people who wrote the Holy Bible were unaware of the Holy Trinity. It was necessary to wait in PEACE for the Church to "accept" the Existence of the Trinity.
@@jimselimos4863 ,so u admitted that trinity is man made, actually turah&bible were from god but they had been corrupted afterwards as a result god sent down quran upon prophet muhammed&god said i`ll preserved the quran thereby god had fulfilled ,let me show u friendly&honestly the truth, okee dokee.sheding the light on christianity to know the truth first of all there is no original bible the 4 main bible are contradicted to each other yet there is 1 quran but who is the writer of bible the answer is paul the jewish who hates jesus let us discuss about the significant event which is crucifixion why does your claimed god left his only son to crucify without any sin he had committed the disaster reached its uttermost when u found bible said on the tongue of jesus my god my god why do u forsaken me means jesus never crucified willingly have u an idea why do they crucify jesus because it`s a penalty of impure &particularly crucifixion because dindn`t touched the earth make it impured that what paul said jeasus get impure for us &see the authentic god what does said in quran chapter 3 verse 55 by the name of god the most gracious&most merciful ,
O Jesus, I will take you and raise you up to me, and purify you from those who disbelieve, and He will place those who follow you above those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection, then to Me is your return, so I will judge between you regarding that in which you differed, the authentic god rose jesus to the sky before they kill him in addition he had purified him from a false accusation that he is impure, let alone of many verses in the bible incites to violence thus u found the largest massacres had happened in history the ww1&2 christian countries against christian countries 100 millions had been killed not to mention the sex stories in the bible nay u never found a single sex word in quran, don`t take it in personal just i clarify u the plain truth, bible said woman when she during the menstruation she gets impure &any thing she would touched it will be impure &should stay at her room till had done of it don`t see that an insulting to woman &how does the claimed god in bible said so he demeans& underrates his own creatures, yet islam honored the woman &she has a complete chapter its name women show us her rights, let us look at modern medicine which refutes the bible, ovulalation happens every 28 days from overy next month from other ovary when fertilization fails to happen mestrual bleading happens it always stops when a female gets pregnant ,menstrual cycle ovulation the female genital system consists of one uterus to overuse vagine& externat genital organs ,,the blood during menstruation could cause diseases to spread and that’s why a woman during her menstruation needed to isolate so the blood would not be passed around to other people And diseases not be spread that`s what god said in quran and they ask you about menstruation say, isolate women don't come near them untill they get purified verse 222 chapter 2.peace

@@lufhopespeacefully2037 no, i failed to "admit" that, i said that it only took the Church a while to ACCEPT the Truth that the Holy Trinity is, was, and always will be with us all. i trust that all of us can work PEACEFULLY together without looking at all our many differences.
Hi. The Trinity is definitively mentioned. Blessings.
Mark Chapter 1 ... 9 It happened in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized in the Jordan by John. 10 On coming up out of the water he saw the heavens being torn open and the Spirit, like a dove, descending upon him. 11 And a voice came from the heavens, “You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.”
John 15 ... 26 “When the Advocate comes whom I will send[ you from the Father, the Spirit of truth that proceeds from the Father, he will testify to me. 27 And you also testify, because you have been with me from the beginning.
Footnotes
@@jimselimos4863 Jim. The Trinity is mentioned in Mark, Matthew and John. The baptism of Jesus is a lesson in the Trinity.
At the end of Matthew, Jesus says, "go therefore and baptize all nations, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

It’s freedom given to you by God.
why trinity doesn`t wrote in bible
You don’t get to decide what makes someone Catholic, Sam.
Amen to that! And that applies to other secular justified evils.
HALF of US Catholics not only support gae mirage, but want the catholic church to acknowledge it as legitimate. Bishop Barron, can you please set them straight?
It seems half of the church is in error
i doubt he can, mainly, because WE all follow our "consciences" about what to do in Life, sadly.
Again, you want people to choose adoption over abortion, right? Gay people adopt at higher rates than anyone else. Just one example.
Provided the young person is not in kinder garden :)
