My parents introduced me to Santana in 1999 when Supernatural came out and they said listen to this man play we've loved his music since the 70's. Before I knew it I found myself rocking out to him. I remember hearing Smooth and carlo's guitar playing and Rob Thomas's lyrics I still jam to all of his music. Smooth just introduced me to him and all I have to say is nobody can play like Carlos.

Not even close. He doesn't even really understand what he's doing when he's noodling around playing his time-worn cliches. He doesn't understand what the jazz greats are playing and what the thought process is behind their playing, nor has he bothered learning even the most basic music theory. Carlos is a ball of confusion who was simply in the right place at the right time, which is why his career has so many low points. Even Gregg Rolie snickers at his retreat to Las Vegas now.

In the world there were and are very good guitarists, call yourselves, Eddie Van Halen, Jimmy Page, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Brian May, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Hendrix, etc, etc, etc, but from there they did not pass, in several years they will to listen to a recording and they are going to ask, what good guitarist? Who is he? - But when listening to an album by Carlos Santana, they will immediately identify him, because C. Santana belongs to the small group of musicians who have created an inimitable and unrepeatable style, Carlos Santana stood out above all of them and that is why he is recognized worldwide
