I've learned quite a bit from Mr Price that I use even as a modern Boxer. He shared a wealth of knowledge online and seemed to genuinely care about about sharing lost traditional Boxing Knowledge. Sad he is gone. R.I.P.

There are still fighters and people in rural US and other areas who box this way. The ungloved science was preserved by older and tougher men like this its a very rare treasure to see.
    EXCELLENT share.

Chris was a boxing, kickboxing and martial arts coach.
He had his gym in one of the toughest London areas.
As it was common for his fighters to deal with mob fights, he adapted the fighting sport to the street fights.
      He called it PRACTICAL BOXING.

I've interacted with Chris Price on quora and attended his online seminar in the covid lockdown. This gentleman is an incredible person with a trove of knowledge, not only in fighting, but also on many levels about life. He lived an extremely rich life and was so wonderful and generous. I love and miss you, Mr Price, R.I.P.

@@sharp-shield I too followed and corresponded with Chris on Quora.
His poor health carried the great man off, did it?
      Condolences and respect.
What a terrible loss to all of us interested in English boxing and self-defense.
The man was as knowledgeable as any martial arts master I have ever known...
It IS gratifying to be able to put a face to the man I had so many online conversations with.
I remember telling him about the time I was attacked in the shower with a waitress by a boyfriend I didn't know existed, and he joked me that if it had gone bad for me, I'd have been the cleanest corpse in the morgue, lol.
Several of us pestered him to write a book, I guess all that expertise and Croydon combat experience is lost forever.
Any information you care to share about his passing will be appreciated and shared with his other Quora friends, we've been wondering what happened to him. He had told me that his health was not the best.
      RIP, Chris.

    • @sharp-shield
      @sharp-shield  9 місяців тому

We were going to start a channel together, but then, unfortunately, he passed away.
And, for what I know, I'm the only Practical Boxing instructor still alive.
You definitely should check Chris's quora page: Practical Boxing.
      practicalboxing.quora.com/?q=practical boxing
BTW, I don't want his legacy to die.
We are planning more videos on Practical Boxing as some things can only be shown and not just read.

He had cancer for a very long time.
Once he called me "Walt we have to stop training for a bit. I'm feeling well and I have to do a cicle staying in the hospital for 2/3 months.
Don't worry, I already did it, I'll be back soon."
That was the last time I spoke with him.
