Mark talks of Crass as Life Affirming and Life changing well I can honestly say The Mob for me were 'Life Affirming and life changing'. I would not be the person I am today without there music in my youth. At 51 now it never tires, it never gets old and that is testament to this band. I have massive respect which I have done for many years. Some fantastic words regarding Southern Records in this interview and a battle I still push today regarding Alternative. We have tried to re release music but court action is always at the door. I have see the Mob many times and I must admit more in my later years and to see so many people still being inspired as I was all those years ago is impressive still to this day. I never thought I would see stage diving as I did to 'No Doves Fly hear' in Bristol (Old police station I think a good few years ago). To once again see this band who's music had played such an important part of life was awe inspiring and as fresh as it was then back in those early 80's was just outstanding. These songs never get old and I am so glad Mark is still playing music to a generation who had missed this band in their original form today. Respect.

Mark's interview is cool.... he knows that the Mob's music inspired a lot of people... there style was a breath of fresh air during the anacho punk era ,,a different approach musically but full on with the energy we needed .... Respect .. my friend ...

Just watched this interview. I was a big Mob fan first time round, & Crass and the lot. In Manchester we heard Mark had crashed & burned. It’s great to see him talk about things and hear about RockawayPark. Looks very interesting. Dunno, should’ve checked him out earlier. Cheers Mark. Good interview.

Glad to hear Mark speak out against the ridiculous shut down of anarcho punk dot net, he hit the nail on the head. Fuck Southern records.

Mark is a really nice fella ,as were the rest of the band, played with the mob in the 80's and a couple of years ago, never really talked to each other back in the day, it was all a bit edgy, never new if you were going to get attacked , shame really, much better now for comradeship. I too am still playing with another band who released on Crass, everything Mark so eloquently said is true, I could not put it better myself. I can report John the original Conflict bass player is alive and well and running a studio in South London, he also has a new band with his Wife called Pig( the band not the wife ,Sorry Sarah) he also has nothing to do with Conflict.P.s Hello Lain see you out there.

i was one of the original 200 people always loved the Mob from the beginning & still do it's a shame when bands like the Mob play without the original line up because it's NOT the Mob.

I understand the argument entirely but should I just stop singing the songs I wrote and love because the other guys would rather be doing something else ? And it’s brilliant that you were able to enjoy the band when the people at these last shows were not even born ( in many cases) but is that a reason to stop anyone else from enjoying them today ? There were many people in the audience over the weekend with tears in their eyes, not least some Japanese guys who’s families lived through the “no doves” scenario... I wrote these songs for them ... And you of course ♥️
