- And once again, it's time for some #drumandbass. I'm starting from scratch with an @xlnaudio Addictive Drums loop and a bit of @bitwig magic. We're layering drums and also adding a bassline and some chords! Download the project on my Patreon: / quick-dirty-drum-10266...

i think i learned more in this hour than in the last 50 hours of youtube production content i've watched.
Thank you. I learned some tools I didn't know I had.
Interesting, very much informative, and there's something new to learn from. As always though 😁
Many thanks for sharing your workflow. Bitwig with AD2 drums looks to be a powerful combo.
Robert, D'n'b was never so complicated and interesting, before Bitwig and you! If you remember Everything but the girl "Walking wounded" album, i simply cannot understand, how did they make that drum glitchy sounds on thatdays 1996 hardware. So, maybe, kind of explanation about hardware and nowadays posibilities of Bitwig Studio? Thanx!
maybe this helps? ua-cam.com/video/tY5dd07KM3g/v-deo.html
Wonder how it sounds when you put the Bounce of Addictive Drums into the Amigo sampler to get a bit more grittyness :) to get the 90's vibe. :)
i guess i could have just use bit-8 for that ua-cam.com/video/tY5dd07KM3g/v-deo.html
Studio PROG 😄👍
POlarity thank you for such great vids
I need an answer and I cant seem to get one a simple question..... will bitwig see any other midi channel than channel 1 at track level??? i would appreciate it if you could just give this a few minutes of your time polarity.....cheeers
ok here is the scenario
I have a komplete Kontrol s88 MK II keyboard which does splits and keyzones, allowing multiple midi numbers out
I have the controller script template loaded which shows me 3 zones spread out along the keyboard
when pressed these zones show MIDI output on channels 1 2 and 3 as expected
i have "SHOWMIDI" INSTALLED both standalone and VST
In Bitwig I have an instance of Kontakt loaded with 3 factory instruments
piano, bass and organ (these have the midi channel numbers 1 2 3)
i wish to play bass piano and organ this way so i can record MIDI from each zone discreetly while sending MIDI to the 3 instruments in Kontakt
i have the midi channel chooser set to ALL-----SAME
Apparently it is impossible to get Bitwig to see any MIDI channel but 1 ???
I have tried multiple inst tracks set to a multitude of chooser options etc etc no good
No matter what you have selected in the chooser you can only see MIDI channel 1 coming into bitwig
SHOWMIDI vst confirms this
Can it be that BW only sees channel 1 MIDI at track level?????
any thoughts would be appreciated
jb
when the instrument channel is selected, in the inspector what does the 2 dropdowns say with "channel:" in front? "All -> 1"? If yes then all channels are merged to channel one.
Change it to your liking. (in your case probably "All -> Same")
yes, we make music today, it is weekend! :)
Hi there polarity would you be able to make a video with a generative patch on the grid that can generate percussion please....
yes 👍
yes 👍
@@PolarityMusic Thank you When can I expect to see it? :)

something like this maybe? ua-cam.com/video/Whv9ewK-Bgc/v-deo.html
HOW CAN YOU CHANGE THE COLOR OF BITWIG?
You can't, you can only change light to dark
Just noticed there is a folder called 'Documents/Bitwig Studio/Color Palettes', but the folder is empty. I guess you can place a file here with a color mapping. No idea what that file should look like though.
@@zwippie123 Future update maybe? I'm sure Polarity has early access though
I suspect that Polarity does this in the video editor. It's called a LUT. Try it out for yourself.😀
@@zwippie123 The "Color Palettes" folder is needed to save your color palettes. You know you can change the color of an audio file/track, right? When you open Bitwig, there is a color selection on the top left . Hover your cursor over the "import from library" arrow. then select any image you have on your computer. What you select is saved in the "Color Palettes" folder.
Have a good day.
This is definitely not how I do it 😁
24:09 that groove there kinda sounds like Starfuckers Inc. from NIИ ! Awesome!
i really regret not having the filter+ stuff. Just too expensive :(
this IS how you do it
Perfect weekend banger. That bass is so nasty. 😈
That's the stuff 🫡
