Yes her mother and grand mother are Italian ,she leave her first 5 years in Sicilia before move to Belgium ,country of her father where she start study music , at the age of 8 y.o. till 18 y.o. . Then she move in Quebec ,Canada .at the age of 19

Lara Fabian has an amazing voice, amazing! She lives in Montreal - I "met" her once. She was out at a public market, no makeup, in jeans and a t-shirt - yes, and still glowing. We recognised her anyways, she was very humble, a bit shy-ish. When she figured out we were going, subtly, (we are Canadians after all! haha) a bit fan girl, she winked and smiled at us. She just had the most wonderful energy about her. Love her!
I thoroughly enjoyed this Lara Fabian performance, as I do virtually all hers.

It doesn’t matter what language she sings, she sounds amazing and fabulous, she’s the best! I think she speaks 7 or 8 languages fluently, even Greek!

I like this performance. This is in 2005, as I remember. She is singing a half step higher than in the From Lara with Love performance, which I also like. The singing here seems purer, more polished, and lyrical, smoother, and more comfortable. She doesn't seem to be belting as much here as she did in the late 1990s, which is probably a good idea, as she gets older. However, the total production of the From Lara with Love concert is of such a high quality that the performance from that concert is usually the one that is reacted to. I also like the Italian version she did from the 1990s - it has a rock diva vibe.
Italian is her mother language. She comes from Sicilia.

Yes, it is on a higher pitch than the earlier versions, but her voice and lyrics crystal clear as always. One could sense the intensity growing, yet she does it so delicately elegantly. Throughout this version she transcends/transmits her natural humility that simultaneously brings about a great moment of calm in the end, which I find almost ironic.
