The problem is that some of his builds are either clunky or require a good amount of skill in the game to play. So players who just copy the build PoB and don't watch how it's played first end up getting "baited." Not Jung's fault whatsoever.

I've built my own little baby's first automated-arma-brand-recall with all of it's flaws and all your decisions in regards to finetuning are just so much better than mine. I've been put to shame and will likely just copy most of yours.
League started this for 3.24, it plays smooth as fuck and the damage is good but you have a few problems to work through: 1. Mana costs - usually will be a problem until you swap to Eldritch Battery, you can just use Clarity and Inspiration before that. Pyroclast Mine of Sabotage uses a lot of reservation. Consider using Arrogance support inside March of the Legion, but you probably need Utula’s Hunger first 2. Attributes - Dex/Str is a problem with Jungroan’s tree to use Grace/Determ. Find space on Jewelry and Gloves for attributes 3. Defenses - Grace Determ Defiance + Blind is neat but you basically have no regen. You can’t Call to Arms both Enduring Cry and Infernal, so you probably still want Vitality and maybe even a Vitality leech Watcher’s Eye eventually Since you need attributes as well, Chaos Res might be a problem until you can comfortably sustain ES costs to drop Honourhome Might eventually consider slotting in Petrified Blood once I get leech since you path right next to Pain Attunement anyway

Did Arma brand of recall Sabo last league. Went with Discipline and more elemental damage essence craft Helmet 4L setup. Used two sceptres to Leap Slam, crafted one with veiled chaos orbs. Paired with the old bloodnotch tech, it carried me through the whole endgame, except pinnacles. Loved the build
Pyroclast of sabotage is a great buffer for auto builds like this. I used it last league to add 4000-6000 fire damage to some skills as base damage. Really cool someone else has mentioned it.

Arma brand looks sick, but very "button-heavy"... and I don't think it would feel clunky with automation on brand recall. I've played srs guardian for leaguestart last league and it was really hard to keep everything up... But as soon as I got a trigger wand, automated flasks and some energy shield gear, everything became smooth. I think it's similar with this one, you just have to fix some stuff to make it feel better

Your triggerbots repeat triggers. Automation and trigger craft on wand doesn't share cooldown. When you trigger brand recall and summon Arma brands on you, triggerbots double it

From what he said, it's just something with how it works internally in the game, the 4s is the same as the selfcast, but the 8s delay is coded differently.
I had someone link me a version of this today that was using an essence of horror helm to socket their arma brand. I thought it was clever since it frees up two sockets, lowers the mana cost and gives you more damage than a normal 5 link since the fifth link on these builds suck anyway. If you are willing to give up eldritch implicits you can hit a shaped helmet with an essence of horror and it takes about 16 tries on average to get it alongside base spell crit (2% or higher) or hypothermia. You can also force the crit on with locking suffixes reforge crit at harvest and you will get 2% base crit on average which should give you something slightly better than a normal 6 link
@@SakaiSteven I think the +2 on both of those is like 16% more recall for one of the recall setups (so less than 16% more damage). The pseudo 6 link helm + all the points you get back due not needing reduced mana should be way more than that

Watch out when he talked about regen on gear he meant mana regen because if you wanna use the high life armor you cannot have Life regen or life prr kill anywhere as it counts as life mod and the unique chest wont work
I leagued started this, It's not bad, but its clunky, i made it to t16 maps, and i'm pretty casual. Differently better league starter builds out there.
Tried this last league and it was pretty clunky in HC SSF, then again my gear was bad and I'm bad. It didn't feel great having the arma brands target your skitterbots location. However, when it all lines up and you crit, it feels amazing one shotting map bosses.
So if i get it right automation doesn't really add any trigger rate, it's just a replacement for second 4s trigger weapon allowing you to opt for shield instead for better defenses. I wonder if it could be worth skipping 8s weapon trigger entirely now (likely not, but still would be nice to have some breakdown for how many triggers we get from each source) in some case.
definitely do not skip the 8s. it's one single affix for ~40% more damage. automation is more than just helping trigger rate. it gives you cdr when scaled enough and it also ensures that you don't need to fish to proc the weapon trigger using other skills. hard to estimate the actual dps gain, but it's definitely a huge gain, even when not considering the ease of crafting

there's a chance that automation and trigger bots won't work together, halfing the builds damage (only 1 proc not 2) there's a chance the 8 second trigger and automation do share a cooldown, reducing the builds damage by ~50%, or that it is a bug and will be patched out Until we get the automation gem, we wont know. It's an easy test though, he can test 2 seconds into league start on standard character and if it works then good, if not then pick a backup build and laugh at everyone who got baited by this video
@jungroan why not throw in inspiration as 6-th link if you cant fuel a proper one meanwhile? sure you wont get any deeps from it with EB but it should still let you save on cost reduction nodes etc

I'm guessing the withering step + phase run tech won't work because active brands will remove phase run? You also need to cast new brands. Just thinking out loud with a fairly cooked brain.

This is a huge bait. It's literally a build for pob warriors. It has a defense layer, but it's not recoverable. Skill position is behind the character, so the character is prone to danger. also It's hard to use cluster because there are many nodes needed. DO NOT PLAY THIS SHIT

Automation counts as trigger apparently. That doubles via sabo bots, selfclick doesn't. Can't test if he is correct tho

every other source of trigger works, so i do not see why this would not

This is a huge bait. It's literally a build for pob warriors.
It has a defense layer, but it's not recoverable.
Skill position is behind the character, so the character is prone to danger.
also It's hard to use cluster because there are many nodes needed.
