Real jobs in the Criminal Justice field ua-cam.com/video/iBNa41UIJpU/v-deo.html
I'm excited to be going into criminal justice. However, my whole family was against it which sucked because I wasted a lot of time being in nursing. I personally don't care about money, I don't want my career to feel like a job. I hated health. But, my plan is hopefully a cop, detective, train, then FBI. So pray for me ya'll.
Almost the same! I was a Vet Tech major before and i am switching to criminal justice
I would also like to be a cop, detective, and eventually get in the FBI. I was considering Forensic Accounting and Forensic Psychology as well as Criminal Justice. I just don't know what to do lol.
exactly the same im studying rn, cop detective then wishing to go into the fbi 😫!
@@kemberlysilva6531 we have same but I don’t know how to get to fbi after college
@@valancialongor3685 there’s steps to it for example what I’m doing is , cop , detective then the fbi but you have to be 23 i believe to go into the fbi you’ll go into the academy for training first obviously
This made me realize I want to go to criminal justice. It just makes sense, and it seems like something I genuinely will like and be interested in.
im so glad I've found your channel cause I have been looking into doing criminal justice and this video helps ALOTTT.
i'm planning to go to college for criminal justice and am a bit nervous and overwhelmed but this video helped me a lot! thank you for the heads up
I’m so glad I found this video today. I just enrolled for summer classes at my local community college. I’ve been trying to decide what to get my associates degree in if my major will be criminal justice.
Like you, I’ve wanted to be a detective since I was a kid. Also like you, things have changed so much in the past few years and I no longer want to be in law enforcement, but my heart is still in criminal justice in some capacity. Your video just solidifies this notion that I don’t necessarily have to become a police officer to have a career in CJ. I think social work will be something I look for after I graduate.
Thank you for this video. I'm currently getting my A.S. in CJ but I'm struggling with what I want to do with my degree. I'm not sure what schools to transfer to. This is all so overwhelming!!!
Wonderful Video Definitely Excited about to Graduate with my Bachelors in Criminal Justice this December. I also have a Associates degree in Criminal Justice and a Associates Degree in the Arts!!! Debating on getting my Masters degree 🤔
thank you so much, your video was so informational to me and realy gave me a good peek into the criminal justice career
I LOVE THIS! I was so stressed thinking about this for awhile, i was majoring in veterinary medicine, but i feel this path so much more for me, this video gave me such a good feeling! Instant sub!
Also, girl you are so beautiful!! glowing queen
Thank you for the information. I am a criminal justice major and was debating to switch it to another. This video help me understand the career. it not for me. thank you again
I’m majoring in CJ and I’m worried and I tend to get sad when I think about my future😒
i can understand. I think to myself did I make the right choice. But truth be told a bachelors degree can generally get you anywhere where a b.s is required. Does not have to be criminal justice related. Also, criminal justice is a broad department, you have plenty of options in the criminal justice department.
DINKLEBERG thank you soo much
Thanks for the information! I didn't think about these factors with CJ. I was about to switch my major to this, but I don't think it's for me. Thank you and good luck!
I’m going to community college to get my Associates in Criminology. I’m pretty excited for it, especially for the The Constitution and Your Individual Rights class. I’m super into that kind of stuff as I am a very political person and it has a lot to do with politics specifically
You def hit some points in this video. I am a criminal justice major and this is def a field you have to be passionate about. Like you said you cant go into this field thinking you're going to get paid big coins lol not happening
Hey you name is jalen how are you
Funny, my daughters nickname is Marr...lol
Why Criminal Justice? Ethics and Morals. ua-cam.com/video/A99Lj0xqUyc/v-deo.html
Thank you for your video! It was very informative. I am currently a undergrad junior majoring in CJ and I was wondering if you had any tips for seeking an internship. I want to become a criminal defense lawyer or a criminal investigator but I have had no luck with finding a internship.
Thank You So Much You Were Really Helpful With The Advice You Provided. I'll Be A Sophomore In College This Fall And I Switched My Major This Spring From Computer Science To Criminal Justice. Criminal Minds Influenced Me Its Really Grown On Me And I Do See Myself Doing That Type Of Work And Helping People. I've Also Been Thinking About What I Wanted To Do With My Major. I Wanted To Be An FBI Agent But I Learned That They Don't Start Hiring People Until 31 And That's Just Too Long For Me. I'm Still Figuring Out What I Want To Do.
What's with your wacky capitalization? Learn how to write before becoming an FBI agent.
Thanks I'm an upcoming freshman and I picked this major for college. This video helped alot!❤
I'm going through this same thing. I am doing my BA in Criminal Justice and I just wonder to myself where am I going with this. Thank you for the video.
I'm currently an electrical engineering major but I'm really considering switching to Criminal justice for my B.S. degree. I'm just super concerned about job opportunities, especially considering the vast majority of people I've seen say that the degree is useless.
@@joseph_tuckerman exactly!
@@almaescalante19ae I don't really know what I should do tbh. If I switch to CJ, I'll have my degree in around a year and a half to two years, but if I stick with engineering, I'll have it in five years. I figure that if I switch, and apply to my school's double masters program of criminal justice and public administration after my undergrad, I could have two masters degrees by the time I get a bachelor's in engineering. I've seen that people with mpas have a pretty decent time getting government jobs as well, so it's definitely a possibility I've been considering.
Thank you so much for the good video I’m in school for criminal justice school right now
Good luck on your journey 💕
I did 1 year of criminal justice in 2017, it was pretty interesting I am learning Spanish and Russian on the side now I'm looking to go back to college to get my criminal justice degree!
i’m going into hs not know what to do but watching some criminal shows are SO interesting and i think i finally found what i want to do. lol i don’t know these terms going into high school so ifk if it’s called a major sorry. thank you for the great video
It’s good that you are starting now! You are on the right track.
Thank you so very much.
Thanks!!! Really helped
I juat atarted ny adventurws of going to get ny bachelors in criminal justice
I'm a practitioner in CJ with over 4 decades of experience. I admire the young people who are responsible and preparing themselves, but I'm not a fan of this degree. While any curriculum is helpful for learning writing and research skills, CJ is not competitive. My BS program became very simple to complete that little effort was extended to graduate. See the "Learn Law Better" videos. The law school professor says his CJ students aren't prepared for LS. The students have the false assumption that they're prepared. A degree in CJ isn't helpful. College credits cost the same, so take a better curriculum.
OMGG U WENT TO UNI AT ARLINGTON I LIVE IN ARLINGTON 😭 im thinking of going theree🥺
ME TOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!, i applied for crimjnall justiceeee
I’m going through the same thing , I’m a criminal justice major going to my third year, I don’t know if I want to continue it
I would get a degree in paralegal work. It's more specialized and even if you don't want to be a paralegal, you can get any job a CJ major get. Please trust me on that I hate that I have this degree, she was glass half full. If you don't want to be a cop, you're practically stuck.
Do you study the law of the country your in or just general law ?? Cuz I might study abroad in Europe
I graduated with my bachelors in Criminal Justice in 2018 and I have yet to find a job in this field. I kinda gave up after a while because all I was finding was correctional facilities and law enforcement jobs. I'm preparing to go back for my Masters
Good luck hope they’ll accept you
Uh, what did you expect to do with a criminal justice degree if not law enforcement ? Seems like you set yourself up .
@@dudebro2292 law enforcement & criminal justice are literally opposites of eachother.
CJ is opposite of a valuable degree. The only people making money with it are those teaching gullible kids. @@christina3805
i always wanted to be a crime scene technology but i do have a criminal record. A youth offender misdemeanor stealing out of the store at 20 years old. I'm 30 years older now and i feel i will waste my time and money going to school for crime scene tech because of my criminal record.
I really appreciate sharing your experience with having a Criminal Justice Degree. I am a sophomore in College about to get my Associates in Criminal Justice as a major and I was considering for my Bachelors to apply myself in a Forensic Science major since I want to be a crime scene evidence technician. However one of the collages I am thinking of transferring to has a degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice and it covers forensic Science. Would the best option for me to have my focus on a Criminology/Criminal Justice major or pursue a major in a more science orientated area such as Biology or have my major completely focused on Forensic Science? Any help and advice is greatly appreciated if you have any recommendations.
If your goal is Forensics I would look into a science like Biology and even minoring in CJ that way you open up more opportunities with that degree but still puts you in the door for Forensics
This is both preparing and scarying me because I'm barely going to get my BS at the CAL STATE
Motivating 👌
You should try to create ASMR. Your voice is very soft.
Hello , what criminal justice sites have you applied to ?
I'm starting college in Fall 2022 and I want to major in Criminal Justice and minor in Psychology. I'm not sure if I want to be a lawyer or not as of right now because of my lack of communication skills. Any advice? Should I major in something else?
If you want to be a lawyer I would major in Political Science w/ a minor in communications or psychology. Law schools want to see different types of majors instead of the typical Criminal Justice degrees. If you know what type of lawyer you want to be criminal, civil, business etc… you can find a major that way
@@MercadezMichelle Your answer is so on point👍, several law firms here in my state said they always pick to hire those with criminal justice degrees last because they don't have a variety of knowledge. I was actually surprised to see that but I absolutely get it.
That's interesting that you need a language requirement versus here in CA we don't need an LR.
Yes, four years of it is required. Well was I’m not so sure the current requirements
I know this video was posted a little while ago, but I do have a question for you. I always aspired to involve myself into the legal field as my career, particularly becoming an attorney. However, I am in my first year at college and I am thinking paralegal work may be a better avenue for me. My question for you is do you suggest I should continue my Criminology & Justice degree or go into a paralegal studies certification? After watching your video I feel as if becoming 4 years in debt for a career that I can get in 1 year with a significant decrease in money would be best, but I am not sure if that would limit myself.
Sorry this is so long, but I thought that giving you some insight would better assist you if you do choose to reply. I really hope you do🥺
@@iispyshii I would consider doing the paralegal certificate. However, if you get into paralegal and discover you actually want to become an attorney having a head start on college course work would be a plus!
Look into Penn Foster and Ashworth college! They are extremely affordable, self paced and have paralegal studies and criminal justice
Hey pretty can we connect as I’m in the same path 🎉😅❤ hope you see this comment as it was a while ago that you commented 😢
What kind of internships would you recommend?
Hi I really want to start a career in criminal justice but don’t know if it’s right for me I still struggle with my communication skills I got to the us at 14 years old didn’t learn that much English but I really don’t want this to stop me of following my career .

When majoring in criminal justice, do you need to take any math classes? I’m trying to avoid that at all cost.
Yes, unfortunately you have to take 3 maths I believe Algebra 1&2 & then either pre cal or statistics depending on your university.
@@MercadezMichelle algebra 1&2 is what I’m practicing right now before I start my first semester. I also heard statistics isn’t so bad
Oh me too. I have a learning disability so I want to avoid math at all costs
In my college it is part of core curriculum and you can choose whatever math classes so long as its math
How many languages to be exact

Intern!
This may be a stupid question but, how can I do internships on this major? I would love to hear it from you so pls, I hope you respond
Hey! I just wanted to say that there are a lot of different options for criminology internships. It depends on what career goal you have in mind. For example, if you want to be a detective, interning for different police agencies would be a great place to start
@@ariwilliams130 is there something like for intelligence?
@@samuelvelazquez7895 yep. There sure is. It depends on where you're located however. I'm near the DC area so there are a lot of different opportunities
@@ariwilliams130 AMAZING!
In my opinion criminal justice makes a little more then nursing as fars my research went for my understanding
It could depend on the areas of expertise for each field. You can work your way up in CJ and make a decent living
What career did you pursue with this degree?
I am also interested in knowing this.
she mentioned she got a investigation job briefly
Aboat? What? You mean afloat..
You lost me at “a lot of reading”
It’s not that bad it’s interesting to read 😂
Why do you think people say that a cj major is useless?
Never heard anyone say that
Probably because they choose it out of poor impulse control and not knowing what they want to do after.
Look at Money Magazine's List of the Ten Most Useless Degrees. CJ is right up there as useless. @@perlalizeth8015
