SEGA était vraiment le maître de l arcade à l époque, quel savoir-faire, quelle maitrise dans le gameplay,mutique culte, construction des niveaux TOP, rythme...un chef d'œuvre ! Très peu de jeu ont ce niveau de réalisation...

@@SiouplaitMerci If you clear the stage without shooting (throwing Shurikens) you get a 20,000 point bonus. It’s harder to do but that’s why you are rewarded 20,000 points each time you complete a stage. For an example he gets the 20,000 point bonus on the helicopter stage even though he throws shurikens… the way that is done is by counting how many shurikens you throw. There is a mechanic in the game that will reset the number of Shurikens you throw to 0 when you have thrown exactly 256. It is part of the mechanics of the game. He does this on the boss fights for Level 2, 3 and 4. Watch those scenes in this video and count how many Shurikens he throws… it will be exactly 256. I’ve done this myself on my Nintendo Switch and it’s legit.
@@SiouplaitMercithere are a lot of hidden secrets in this game…. For example how many points you get from hostages depends on what your score is. It all depends on the 3 digit at the end of your score… if it’s a 0,1 or 2 you get 1,000 points for the hostage. If it is a 3,4,5 or 6 you get 500 points for the hostage. And if it’s a 7, 8 or 9 you only get 200 points. Also the Bazooka enemy guy that appears on level 3-1 and 3-2 you can bump into him repeatedly up against a wall or object (usually takes 10-20 bumps) and all the enemies that shoot bazookas and handguns will no longer fire shots for the rest of that stage. Then there is the trick he does against level 3 boss where he can jump through the spinning heads and bypass it without having to kill them all. Also the trick he does against the lobster boss where he can make Lobster fall below him. I have videos showing both those bosses… I do it a bit different than Ben by using Ninja Magic because it is easier that way but it can be done without Ninja Magic but it is harder to do.
I remember back in the day as a kid playing this in the arcade it was much easier to do those jump kicks on first boss as opposed to doing it on the Nintendo Switch that I use today. Damn I would love to have the actual original arcade cabinet for this game. I’m always looking online to see if someone is selling the Arcade cabinet for a decent price
I remember this trick: if you push the bazooka guy to an obstacle and keep pushing him for a while (something like 10-20 times?), every other bazooka guy on the stage stops shooting. But we did have bootlegs only on our arcades back then, I should check the parent in MAME sometime ;)
Yes! I use that trick all the time. It also makes the other enemies not shoot their guns. I play this game on Nintendo Switch Arcade Archives. I like that on that version you can set it to do a specific stage select in the game menu so you can practice on a certain stage…. I usually use it so I can practice the level 3 and level 4 boss fights. When I saw Ben do that glitch to make Lobster fall below him I immediately used the stage select option to practice that exploit. It took me awhile to pull it off but I was so hyped when I did it! I can do it 100% of the time if I use Ninja Magic to make Lobster fall down below and without Ninja Magic I can get it to work about 40% of the time. It’s hard for me to get the exact timing and placement of Lobster on the screen without Ninja Magic.
Je soupçonne dans ta façon de jouer un cheat mode dans les combats rapproché. J'ai testé ce jeu dans les années 90 sur plusieurs salles de jeux et bizzarement il y a toujours un moment dans les combats rapproché où le Shinobi lache une étoile. Mon score avec 1fr est de 653090 en finissant le jeu.
@@ben.shinobi j'ai remarqué en salle de jeu en 1995 que si le Shinobi tire toujours des étoiles par des joueurs débutants et qu'un autre joueur fait une partie juste après en mode 20'000 points le Shinobi tire quand même une étoile au lieu de frapper avec le pied, j'ai jamais compris comment garder le rythme sans qu'il tire une étoile en milieu de partie ? Tu peux m'expliquer Ben?

Level 4-2 at the end where you didn’t get 1,000 for each of those hostages was one of the mistakes I noticed… what were the other mistakes you made with points? Btw great job Ben… you truly are the Shinobi master. I’ve learned so much watching your videos… I’m still no where close to how good your are but maybe one day. 👍

Channels like World of Longplays uses cheats because if you watch those videos they have invincibility enabled because there are many instances on the videos that the player should die but does not. In Ben’s video nothing looks suspicious to me. Is there any specific parts of the video that you looks questionable to you?
@@BIGgamez78 His jumps and hits are too close to some fails and too many times , no parasitic movements , his jumps look like pre moves and his hits looks like automated . If he had done that on a lan-like with neutral machine environnement it would be ok but i think he posts his video just for fun .

He and others discuss strategies, techniques and tips on getting highest score possible. They all seem very knowledgeable about gameplay and mechanics of the game. I’ve seen on other forums people discussing his high scores on Shinobi and I never seen him called out for being a cheater. I think he’s legit and his videos look legitimate to me.
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to predict that the "stege bonus" ninjas will immediately jump towards you or run to the side first? it would help me a lot to win lives hahaha
all 4 differents bonus stage are pattern (noting is random). You just learn every movements of ninjas. Don't try the patterns I use because I play for score (ninjas score is x1 on the furthest platform and x2 on the nearest platform) and the patterns I use are very tricky. Learn patterns & kill every ninjas as soon as they appear.

And also the Marilyn Monroe posters (changed to Altered Beast) on the level 1 stage… the newer versions had to remove those things because of copyright protection.
I battled Top score out on this game with a Chinese lad in TTE amusements in Redcar when I was a teenager, on a Saturday we used to have an audience with upto 20 other kids watching us it was the closest I ever got to feeling like a Rockstar ever again lol 😢 I've never known any other game do that perhaps mortal kombat, I'm sorry too tell you this but you have made one simple but monumentous error that could have saved you from that painful gruelling ordeal that you must have went through many many times to get that score, you could have shaved half an hour of that time and got a way way higher score because.... You get a lot lot more points from finishing each round as fast as you can than you do by using up every second of it killing as many ppl as you can? Your obviously aware of the round time in the bottom right corner but you haven't realised the time left on the clock at the end of each round fastly down counts down to zero whilst adding to your score quite highly as it does so, also you don't need to use ninja magic in the jungle its difficult but it's easily done after a while, but we could complete it in about 10 mins so it was no big deal if we ever lost a life we would just end the game and stick another 10p in and start again, which granted would have been a bold move having been playing for so long already
But you only get awarded 30 points for each second when you finish a round and by leeching you can get 100 points by killing an enemy and the stages he was doing the leeching on he was killing an enemy 1 per second. You definitely maximize your score more by leeching on certain stages like he did. Also you don’t get any bonus points for saving Ninja Magic on the level 5 stages… so using it doesn’t matter because the game doesn’t award you the 5000 points on those level 5 stages.
try it on an actually arcade and not mame emulator. Best uve ever done on actuall arcade was 1 credit without using any magic. didnt know the mandara trick so would die the first attempt at her

This is the famous shuriken bug !! if you throw 256 shurikens during a stage, this corresponds to throwing 0 shuriken for the program.

on Mission 5, you can't get both special (20k) and magic (5k) bonus. You can get only one bonus. That's why you can use magic.
