In VR, in the F14, if you stick your head through the ACM panel there's wires, etc, behind there that you don't see but are modelled. Brings a tear to your eye.

Cool. So at least according to the D-25 to D-35 manuals, you should be able to do your final approach at 130mph, but you should not turn below 130, and if you are below 130 and need to turn, you should increase the engine power first. The P-47N manual also has a note about waiting to extend the flaps until you have finished your turn onto final with a cryptic note that the pilots who do it earlier "have more time in the plane and are more familiar with it than you are." For the NACA report of P-47D-30 2899, a study of the longitudinal stability of the plane, the flaps apparently thought it would be hilarious to deploy at different times when you pulled the lever... For the reviews I've seen, I don't think it's modelled yet, but if they do get it in, it going to be one heck of you do it in a turn. Much fun will ensure. I'll be testing it out later once I've had time to get all the keys bound and got the AC fixed so I can stick my head back in the bucket without baking it to the rosy doneness of a par-boiled lobster...

The note about experience and flaps makes sense, managing the turn and effect of flaps could get a little sketchy. I found it much more comforting to fly a high approach and glide in. 130 sounds reasonable and of course touchdown speeds will depend on weight. I found information stating that flaps should not be deployed until the gear is down, I have a feeling as they dial in the model things are going to get very interesting.

In my travels I discovered if you want to take photos of a place the best time is those 2 hours just before and after the sun comes up, it turns out it's also the best light in DCS.

I feel your pain, I only switched ISP recently now I have 100ish down and 50 up, before that I was struggling with 5 down and 0.5 up, used to take 3 hours to upload a 1 minute DCS, the F18 video with Wags took 3 days to upload.
@@Laobi I just returned a TP link R470T+ as My wife and I have a Modem/Router each, as speeds are too slow to not have buffering constantly if one is on PC and the other is on TV while looking at iphone. So when I first received the load balancing router, it worked great right out of the box without clicking a button it doubled My Download speed from 700 KbPS to 1.5 to 1.7 MBPS !!! I downloaded every DCS object I could get My hands on for three days straight and when I finally turned off the PC, I was back to 700K D/L speed unless it is raining, then it drops to 320Kb which is what I had to download the channel map. I cannot believe the P47 does not have a mirror ???? Please tell Me this is because of early access and not like the German Planes with no mirrors ... Channel Map so far is nice, I had hoped London would be in it.
Wow, I remember having that happening with the rain when I was on antenna broadband, then the company introduced a pro-family plan where they blocked anything even remotely adult unless you requested an unblock. I know I'm a wanker and so does everyone else, but I'm not calling some spotty 18yo customer service dude to confess, needless to say I switched. The currently available version doesn't appear to have a mirror and I don't think the -40 will, I'm holding out for the early 30 variant, although I'm not sure. London only goes up to the Royal Docks which is now London City Airport, that may change, look at all that was added to both Normandy, NTTR and the Straits of Hormuz later, here's hoping.

The version we have is the P-47D-30 RA variant by the looks of things, we will be getting the 30-RE (early 30 variant) later along with the 40-RA, from what I can see the last variant to have the old style canopy (Razorback) was the 4-RA, the bubble was introduced on the 5-RE. So by the looks of things we won't be getting the Razorback, maybe something will change later and they'll get access to one, as always I could be wrong and in this case I hope I am.
Umm..... well... What can say except I hope I learned something about this P-47 module because to honest... I spent most of the review rolling on the floor with laughter! My specs are as follows: CPU - I7 4790K (old) overclocked to 4.8ghz (liquid cooled) Ram - 32gb GFX - RTX2070 1tb SSD (well about 4 of them, 1 for flight sims, 1 for other games, 1 for OS and 1 for videos)

Thank you sir! I use VR sometimes in DCS, but always record in 2D, I recommend VR when it's running well in DCS, other times I swear at it. My specs are as follows:
CPU - I7 4790K (old) overclocked to 4.8ghz (liquid cooled)
Ram - 32gb
GFX - RTX2070
1tb SSD (well about 4 of them, 1 for flight sims, 1 for other games, 1 for OS and 1 for videos)
