This is such a beautiful song, why did I just discover it 😂 I listened to Adam’s version which is great also, I think his voice suits the song well. Still, muse’s version is amazing - makes me a bit watery eyed tbh
I found out in the comments of Adam Lambert's video to this song, that there was another version of this song, and I came here immediately to listen to it, as I'd been listening to Adam's version since 2009. I am not disappointed. Both versions are great.

It was released on a CD that came with a magazine years ago. Just been floating around on the web since then. On the upside, different copyright laws apply to promotional tracks, so Warner shouldn't kill me too quickly. Hopefully.
Great comnent. Guiding light is one of the weakest tracks on Resistance which just happens to be my favorite MUSE album. It is so diverse and it utilises Matts classical education to the full

For me, Muse give me more feelings in this songs only than Adam Lambert's whole career. Yes he is a great singer but just that, and his version of this song is kinda boring for me. This instrumental they add to this song and Matt's Scream while playing piano is hit through my ear straight to the heart
