I hide my own problems and feelings in an effort to not burden anyone else. But it's like... when is it my turn to receive a little support? And then there are allegories that can be made to my time in service, most of my adult life. All of my brothers and sisters, the people I became closest to, are spread around the world. Assuming they're still alive. And since leaving after 12 years, it's been so hard to connect with anyone else on a deeper-than-surface level. I know this song isn't about service members, but godamn does it hit home on that front in a lot of different ways. We are the loneliest of men. This song is beautiful, but I can't listen to it without a bit of wet eye.

@@lukedavis342 It gets better dude. Transition from military to civilian is a really hard thing, especially if you joined young. A lot of that loneliness comes from living a life diametrically opposed to how we want to live. How most people do. I joined at 17, got out at 31, and am now 38. It's taken those entire 7 years to integrate into civilian life and I'm still not all the way there. Most of my friends from that time are indeed gone, but I've made so many more since. And so On Letting Go of the fact that Your Friends Are Gone. And it's alright. And I know that lonely feeling. But all you have to do is reach out to one of your brothers/sisters and you'll be reminded that you are not alone. Hell, you can reach out to me. Either way, I wish you well.

People are usually 100% big bundles of disappointment. But sometimes they'll surprise you. You just have to inject whatever positivity you have into them. Anyway the singers sister sings in a couple songs . Her voice is so entirely beautiful. They together are absolutely perfect. In fact his voice is at its best sounding at the same times
