It's such a hassle in Texas because there was a huge problem with people stealing boats after hurricanes decades ago. Unfortunately a few thieves ruined it for us all.
Yeah I read about a lot of those problems when all of those boats got abandoned. It made it tough to get boats after that in Texas. When you go to ask questions and try to find out the right way of doing it it seems like they don’t forget when that happened.

1. Never buy a boat without the title or never by a boat from somebody you can't trust, not a good thing. 2. And if you do wind-up buying a used boat, just make sure you always ask questions and to see it in person before you buy it. Discovered something too, I did.
It seems like that bass will go after shad darts a lot quicker more than the actual hair jigs or feather jigs. Use 1/16 Oz. Brighten white or like a green and orange or something like that.
You got that right Shawn. You can save yourself a whole lot of hassle and make things easier with all of the right paperwork up front. That’s pretty cool your learning how much more those bass are wanting those shad darts. I’ll remember that. Thanks Bud!

Very good info, yeah i bought a boat went the the dnr got turned down lack of title, so they sent me the previous owner info who apparently donated it to auction via what the seller told me anyhow i think there is another process where you have the title owners info and you send them some form to fill out and sign then take that to the dnr and go from there? and that's if the previous owner will even cooperate, the dnr guy said its a fifty fifty some do some don't if not then I guess it's vermont process

What is the Montana loop hole? And does it work the same as Vermont?

States allow out of state registration but Montana allows it. Register out of state in Montana and can take to your state and register in your state. I know people from California that register their vehicles in Montana.
Vermont was the only one I knew of and that is now closed... believe they closed it the beginning of the year.
@@NYAGive been interested in restoring a jet ski. I read somewhere else Tennessee is a loophole state.
You just need someone with a TN address they can mail the title/registration. The person suggested you put out a ad on Craigslist and offer someone money to use thier address and mail you the title once recieved.
Then you can re register in your state, basically what the video explained

It can be tough getting titles for boats in Texas. You can go track down owners if they never registered the boat or check with a police station and see if it is stolen and if not you can also turn in as an abandoned boat if the owner track runs dry.
Vermont closed the loophole they won't title it unless you have an address there..

Yes but it’s gonna be hard to track down the original owners and have them sign stuff or your gonna have to use a bill of sale and apply nonresident in Vermont.

A lot of times those boats have been waived by the agency as abandoned boats or you have to apply for a bonded title.
I got a 10 foot Jon boat at an auction. In VA. Cheap. Nape I’m wondering. I have a bill of sale and it’s a large well known local auction place. Farms construction tools. Materials. Trailers. All kinds of stuff. They usually say if there’s a title or not. This has a registration number on it. So it was licenses.
