Brother, you did this video just for me. Thanks, I should have looked here before losing my ball bearing LOL!!! After tearing up the living room, it was recovered. But their directions are terrible.
Thanks very much for the video, very helpful. Unfortunately the idiot at this end didn’t learn from watching you drop your ball bearing and did exactly the same thing. Also managed to find it.
After undoing 10mm nut keep pressure on the black plastic piece and push the end of the lock out. Fit new lock in (Lug uppermost) and fit 10mm nut. No drama with ball bearing. Thanks for video.
Hi there, I'm doing fine thanks. Yes I pop up from time to time on UA-cam 🤣🤣 Take care and ride safe Hartley. I have subscribe to your channel too. let's fly 🚀🚀
Thanks for the detailed video. I didnt need to replace the lock but it was getting hard to turn the key. So I put it apart and put some oil in the famous ball bearing 😁 It works perfectly now! Thanks!😎
Thanks for leaving your comment, appreciated much. When I returned from my road trip to Nordkap I had to take it apart again and clean it as road dirt does get inside 😢
Nice vlog. I was looking for something that would give an indication on the level of difficulty involved, and, to be honest, once you had the two screws out and the latch assembly out, I paused, grabbed mine and did the job. Figured there'd be a ball-bearing on a spring, so I didn't get surprised like you did. Thanks for leading the way in!
Thanks, when I picked up my new Ducati they gave me a key barrel to match my key, now I just need to buy the Givi box and change the barrel. The Ducati box is expensive but made by Givi, equivalent box is so much cheaper.
@@Crosstourertony Nothing yet. I think I might drill out the lock of I can do it without damaging the case. So far the company I bought it from hasn't been too helpful.
Three years later for me. Watching that bearing and spring reveal tbemselves kept me from letting the same thing happen. Thanks man!!
Never too late, glad the video helped you 👍
2 years later and still helping out. Just changed mine. Thanks. 👍
Glad it helped 👍

Aaaand you lost me at 0:55. EM-MOTO sent me mine with the key locked in the box.
Shit how have you opened it? Or did you return it

The keys with these Givi locks are absolute garbage. They crumble after a short period of time. I've had two go the same way in a year.
Thank you for leaving your comment so far my keys have stayed good, 👍
