I'm not sure about the c# one .. the instructor says that you should not give subclass a method same name that would be a compile error !... is he not good at c# or he meant that godot will crash??
id love to see you power through these courses and give definitive reviews. Its important to know what learning resources are good or how they can improve
I'd be interested in seeing your review of each course before deciding if I'm going to buy or not
A review of these courses would be highly appreciated!
I am currently following the Complet Godot 3D course on Udemy. It is very well made. It has about 20 hours worth of lessons. Each lesson is less than 20 minutes long and the instructor gives you a challenge at the end of each lesson to give you some time to apply the knowledge on your own. At the end of each lesson's section, you complete a small but very playable game. I would definetly recommend that lesson.
Did a few of them. Very good structure and teachers. Always happy with GameDev TV
GameDev TV has really good courses. Only thing I wish is that the Godot mobile course included ad implementation.
I have the 2d one. I was a little concerned at first.. And yes, this makes me sound bad. But instructor has a substantial accent, and I don't like that in my game dev courses. I have a hard enough time trying to absorb and retain complex information without missing the occasional word or having to backtrack to understand a sentence. But Kaan's course ended up being great, it was my introduction to Godot and built the foundation of everything I've done since. He has some tutorials on youtube if you want to get a sense of the teaching style. Look for Kaan Alpar. Good luck.
My one gripe is you cannot hide the table of contents on the left side. So you can't do half screen video and half screen Godot on a wide screen monitor.
Yes, I would love to hear what you have to say about the courses. Because of this channel, I have started digging into Unity and Godot. I have a couple of game ideas I am mulling around, but have never had the skills to bring them to anywhere other than getting started. Thank you for all that you do with this channel!
I took the Complete Godot 2d Course a couple a months ago and it was the best video course i ever worked trough, this guys make a really great job. So i thing that the bundle is worth it.
Thank you for the shootout again! Good stuff!
Purchased. Thanks for the heads up!
@@DaevinCmdr As demonstrated in the Video... On their own Gamedev.tV's teacheables website.
I just noticed that Bramwell is one of the tutors at Gamedev tv. I started following his YT channel quite early (about 2 or 3 years if I'm not wrong). Awesome guy.
Not sure if I really would watch all videos of the provided courses, probably not even half of it. - But you know what? I use it as an opportunity to support these guys at least a bit (without paying the full price for something that I don't actually need). Thus I will definitely get that bundle!
Thanks for your videos! Keep up! 😘👍
Yes a review video would be great
I'm a complete beginner to game dev and just started the 2d course and it's good so far! Instructions are simple and clear
Really nice done courses - also for absolute beginners. I'm doing the 3D Course right now and it is fun to know, that I'm going to get 3 games after I've done this whole course. Thank you very much for recommending these courses.
Thanks this is great, I've bought it right away...
Letting you know that review of courses would be great :)
I would love to see a review of the courses! ❤
Thank you for this.
GameDev TV is cool and all. I find their lesson pretty comprehensive, and I like that they track my progress. I only wish they had a mobile app so I can play the videos on my tablet, while I’m working on my pc.
I didn't have time yet to get into Godot courses, but overall GDTV has great beginner-friendly courses.
Bought it. Cheers
£0.79 for a Godot shader course is an absolute bargain compared to the others I have seen.
If it goes like last 2 years then mid May they will make a game jam where you get a course for free if you submit a game
Wouldn't mind a review in a few weeks, would be much appreciated.
they are amazing
Weren't most of these just in a humble bundle like last month?
I've gone through the 3d and 2.5d courses via Udemy and both are very good and thorough coverage of their topics. In a way a bummer though I got them at launch price so I wouldn't have saved a ton getting them this way.
I am curious about the shader course, it is 2 hours of content but not sure how well you can cover the topic in that amount of time.
it is early access to be fair
@@kloa4219 I thought only the multiplayer course was early access?
NO the shader course is 5 hours long, just checked it
@@nonamechannelheyhey I double checked and adding up the minutes of everything I'm seeing ~4 hours. But as I'm almost done it also seems like I'm not seeing every video because the Water Shader video talks about having already done normal maps but the previous videos did not include them.
@@WizardofWestmarch oh yeah, i sent them a message and it turns out some videos were bugged and didn't get uploaded. now all of them are there so you might wanna look again
I'm sure a lot of this content overlaps (mostly beginning a project). But overall I think it is well worth the price.
I like Game Dev TV, the guys are great. I sometimes buy the courses just to help support their efforts.
I also like Godot, but I found some of the Godot community members. Unjustifiably, just a little pretentious, to put it nicely. lol
Is the “blah” is best mentally that people attach to open source software, and as it is free all other paid software is inferior. It’s woefully bad in the Blender community, though has settled as real pros came into the scene.
Wow I just bought 2 of the courses in this bundle. Unlucky.
When does Godot will get Online Subsystems for epic or steam ? Right now the only possible easy way is to use GDScript, but for C# there is nothing
20 quid? I’ll give it a punt, cheers Mike. :)
So, if I buy this, do I own the course forever? I am primarily interested in making 2D games with Godot 4, so once I pay the $25, do I get full access to the course?
As far as i know, yes. You get to keep the course indefinitely.
The FAQ of the page tells you that.
@@conocimientobyaxel8765 Thank you!
The most important course is the course on C# 3D game. C# is an amazing programming language ❤❤❤
Not first! 🙂
3 types of people can be interested in buying this, beginner, intermediate and advanced users. If you are a complete beginner will be incredibly helpful, if you are mid experienced might learn a new thing or two, and maybe a different way of doing things, and if you are an expert and are interested in this still, is bc you wanna learn how they made this tutorials and maybe improve on them yourself, yeah they might not be THE BEST TUTORIALS EVER IN THE UNIVERSE, but I think none are... if you are soo good at it than you dare to say they are crap then go ahead and do better.
I think this are a great way of having a start or "notes" or you are going to lie and say you remember how to center a div by memory? lol, for anyone on the fence just do it, this knowledge use to cost thousands of dollars, 35 bucks is a good risk to take
And it's only $25.
Staggering. 🤔
First🎉😂😂😂
* SPRONG * The sound one hears emass when the Godot crew catches wind of this.
Those classes are okay at best.
most classes and courses are garbage and made by amatuers - youtube level content sold at professional prices. but 100% of the ones that get sold off in bundles are definitely garbage.
I wish mike would stop featuring bundles, since the quality is so low they're basically scams.
lol godot people are never happy.
They are good for people that doesn't know nothing, for we that have experience these things are horrible
Have any of you actually seen these videos yet? I'm considering buying them and I don't think I've ever seen so much polarity!
@@tf5pZ9H5vcAdBp Aside from the new shader and controller i own all the godot classes from them.
I like them for what they cover (mostly, some of the larger projects feel a bit hacky), but no text versions of the videos is painful.
For Godot, you cant beat GDQuest - its just a shame they are releasing godot 4 content so slowly. I suppose that is a testamant to their quality though.
I bought the full GDquest Godot 4 course but I'm tempted by this bundle. Would you say it's worth it? How does it compare to GDquest? I'm particularly interested in Multiplayer 3D
@@darkidarki1332 I haven't done the multiplayer one. But in general, they do go quite in-depth - it's just taught in a kind of boring way where you won't necessarily retain any of the info, but it can be a good resource to refer to if there's something specific you want to do. They'll show more advanced topics than GDQuest does at the moment (Since it is still being worked on). I'd say the price at the moment is probably worth it if there's something specifically in those courses you want to do.
I remember GDQuest they took forever to look at 3D gaming in the early days. Hope they changed their ways.
@@tomoprime217 They've done a lot of 3D courses in recent years.
Waiting news about O3DE
edit 1: I assumed that babies would come to defend the bubble they live in regarding that engine hahah
When u know the context of Godot and Juan: 💀
Did I miss something today?
@@gamefromscratch yah they are the only next gen totally free 3d game engine that has a crappy linux port that doesnt work.
Ok, im not seeing any particular drama on Twitter, Reddit or elsewhere, what happened?
@@azhawking It was obvious that some toxic Godot fan would fall.

ps: I also really appreciate your channel and u work, the fact that I don't "connect" with software is my problem only... you don't need to pay attention to my comment
hi game dev. can i get your email, there's some question i want to ask to you. thanks
