I'm really excited to learn all the combos we can do with other classes and on what mobs we use what combos! It's gonna be fun!
You missed something important. Sinister strikes can be used on 2 abilities. If you use the sinister strikes for an ability while stealthed it stays up for an additional ability.
So you can sinister strikes, preparation, then when you get to 3 opportunity again shadowfall and immediately waylay. Doing this my waylay has crit for as high as 1500 damage and the shadowfall has crit for up to 700. I was super buffed for that hot though.
