This Is What the Universe Sounds Like! (Very Creepy) - Five Real Sound Recordings From Space
Вставка
- Опубліковано 16 чер 2024
- Is there sound in space? Yes! and it's very eerie! The universe is full of spectacular places, and they're certainly not silent. Space is actually filled with all kinds of different waves that we cannot see or hear, but our powerful telescopes and spacecraft can. By converting this data into sound, using a process called sonification, we can experience the universe in a whole new way. In this video, you will listen to the sound of the early universe, just moments after the big bang, a supermassive black hole, the violent wind from a star, and the current most common type of exoplanet discovered throughout the galaxy. Finally, we will listen to the space between the stars, the lonely interstellar medium. So what does the universe sound like?

such nice explanation ..i want to see Rob
This is the most unbelievable guess (theory) “ everything we see today burst into existence
Just like that “ anyone who believes this is true is an idiot !?? Burst into existence? And earth landed in perfect position not too close to the sun so we don’t get bbq’d !!!! Not too far so we don’t freeze ? So all that is just luck!!!!
When u say touch the sun u should explain to you viewers that the prob didn’t really touch the sun !!! It got to few million miles away
Haw did you measure bilion of billion years ago!? where did you get that information from?😂🙈.
makes me sad that i am deaf, and can't actually HEAR things like this, but the vibrations are probably just as outer worldly as what many are able to hear. Also, thank you Rob, for all the work you put into your videos for people like me who love astronomy and space related learning and viewing. Each video you put out makes my heart and mind happy that there's people like me who love space and learning about it.
I'm curious, do you feel the vibrations by cranking up your speakers or do you have a rumble pack that only gives of vibrations?
Don't worry it's just a guy talking lol
The Black hole one was interesting, but It's nothing spectacular that you need to hear so dont worry. It just sounds eerie, like you would expect somthing really weird to sound.
at least you can see!ungrateful you are!
It's not that spectacular honestly. You're not missing much. Just static sounds really. They're not real sounds but what they sound like when ran through machines to make them audible.
It’s amazing how Space is beautiful & just as equally terrifying at the same time
Yes. It's so fascinating the enormity of space and how things we can see (well the scientists) that are light-years away are from the past.
Beautiful? It sounds like sharp noises, fascinating yes, beautiful no
Sounds exactly like my marriage.
@@JaponicaBelichii Yep. I have Never found it BEAUTIFUL. It is mysterious and too intriguing. Life on earth itself (except perhaps the birth of a child and a first time romantic meetup) . . . is generally just so desperate and terrible to look at too 😒😒🙄.
The massive Black hole sounds somewhat like ghosts
that second one actually hurt to hear, it was so disturbing to my senses, I wasn't prepared for that
It just sounds so ominous. Makes me dread the existence of black holes even more 😬
Sounded almost sad.. very unnearving!

The universe is literally a heart beat
Maybe it's God's heartbeat
It's the sound you hear when inside a womb.
The universe is living!
If you want to hear a real heart beat in the universe, go and check the "pulsars", the piercing stars with a knocking-like sound, just as the Holy Quran talked about in chapter 86 first 3 verses more than 1400 years ago. Their sound is astonishing
The universe is living but it's not sentient enough to talk with us. It's more on spiritual level@@taniabeg6567

Absolutely terrifying
My favorite sound is the Supermassive Black Hole.. that's so cool to be able to hear what one of those monsters sounds like!🖤👏
The sound was actually used in an analog horror. Not that NASA took the sound, but a creator used the sound, which is cool.
@@thesovietunion927
That’s cool do you know what analog horror was it used in?

I love that the first/earliest sound is close enough to that of a heartbeat.
I agree.
That’s exactly what I thought it sounded like when I first heard it.
Thanks to our Lord And Saviour Jesus Christ 🙏✝️
Specifically a fetus through the ultrasound 😮 literally what I thought too 😮
Me too
Absolute silence is creepier than any sound out there
As long as I'm alive I dont think I'll be able to hear such a thing. I've never been in a special silent room, but I can usually hear my body and always have. Unfortunately now a lot of my body makes quite audible noises (to myself) when I move most parts, too, lol.
Silence during the day time is creepy specially if ur alone
@@mandiblackwell4668 😂😂😂
@@Andy-li2px I love absolute silence
Very true. You don't want to be in the woods, either, when it is totally silent.
Man, this is terrifying... And it kills me to think that we'll never know what the universe is exactly (its size, shape, boundaries and so on...).

The 1st sound reminded me of a baby's heartbeat while in the womb, which is kinda ironic when you take into consideration that this was from an infant universe
“The 1st snake oil elixir goes down smoother than my family’s well water, which is ironic when you take into consideration the fact you said this would cure all my ailments.”
I couldn't help but notice how similar some of these sounds are to those my mother-in-law makes when she's sleeping. Then again, I have often wondered if she's from outer space.
WTF😅😅😅

ROTFl my ars off!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂
I love these space videos. It’s such a mysterious place and feels so beyond our reach that when some noises get recorded and we can listen to them, it’s mesmerizing.
When you support the world selflessly the whole universe supports you endlessly. Universe says
I would love to hear these sounds for longer periods of time, to be able to surround my body with such original noises and let my imagination carry me deep into the universe.
Oh yeah you'll get carried away man. You can count on it
There's a place you can go
Smoke weed
Maybe some dmt
Nice idea, but listening to some random notes from the universe wouldnt help you get even an inch deeper into the universe
That black hole sound = sound of impending doom
Cant wait for the moon lord to spawn
You won't even make it close to a black hole thanks to the cosmic rays they emit(black hole radiation) they say it's all around the galaxy which is why we can't leave our galaxy.
O.K. let's sing the doom dong: DOOM DOOM DOOM DOOOOM DOOOOOM DOOOOOM DOOOOM DOOOOM DOOM DOOM DOOOM😁
Itz AUM.....not DOOM
Everything comes to an end. But for us, if we take care of Mother Earth, we have millions of years. Maybe billions! 👩👩👦👦👯♀️💁🏾♂️🙋🏻♀️🥰😇🤓
still cannot fathom why this is defined as very creepy. It is so fascinating to witness acoustically the Space!
I really do hope that when we die, we will be able to unlock all the knowledge and answers and sights that space has to offer. It makes me sad to think that there is a vast, never ending amount of space and galaxies and we may only ever be able to learn about the space that is observable to us. Which is just a grain of sand compared to the rest. I wonder what kind of things we'd find if we had the ability to teleport around space to any distance.
You'd have to ascend into an astral being (mind without form) first. Than you can think where you want to be and you'd simply would. Even in that form certain areas in space would be hazardous through.
Give your life to GOD and you will find your answers
@@user-pg7cx9wo1m It's really intriguing. I have never been a religious person, but as I've began researching into space and it's beginnings to present day, God creating the universe seems to make more sense than it just magically goes "boom" and appears one day. Idk though.
@@Lovell93in Islam you will find space and celestial objects mentioned many times in the Quran as part of God's creation, as well as the expansion of the universe, if u are interested in that.
@Lovell93 Look into islam my friend. You will find all of your answers.
These can all be used as sound samples for horror movies
The universe is a scary place to visit, as some tourists have told me. So I'll just stay home, thank you very much.
It’s seems like the sounds from a deep of many spirits who mourned from their situations there.
It’s probably were the wicked people go its like people screaming

My gosh! The sun and the black hole ones are literal cosmic horror.
The Hell sounds
It probably has something to do with the way they processed the data, but NASA has a video in which they also let us 'hear' the sound of the sun, and in that video it sounds more like humming
My thoughts exactly 🤭. Those sounds could mess someone up.
Tinnitus. Morris code.
Exactly!

Thank you so much!! The eerie sounds from the black hole are terrifying.
It is really interesting to note that we at the present age are able to hear sounds from other planets which are mysteriously strange and terrifying. Are we not lucky?
As believers God is great and powerful ,SubhaAllAh.
Those sounds from the Black Hole were absolutely terrifying, straight up. 🥺 The Sun sounds weren't quite as bad, but still, pretty awful.
🥺
I hear supermassive black hole sound like some hymn of pray, terrific but also powerful
Sounds like a bunch of trapped souls 😭
Sounds like Whales underwater to me❤
Very informative. Like this video. Want to see more. Good luck!
It is all complicated but fascinating to watch and hear the sound. Thank you and best wishes across the miles……
I wonder if, somewhere in space, there’s something that will sound *pretty* to our ears - soothing, comforting, melodic. To me, what I’m hearing alternates between desolate and horrific.
Yes! It's hardly the sound of angelic choirs!
Hmmm, I doubt it
Unless there happens to be sufficiently complex and intelligent life out there willingly creating something akin to music, or melodies, or even anything rhythmic maybe?
Space seems like the embodiment of orderly chaos-- I don't expect anything out there to ever naturally sound good to people
Ur description is apt
Space IS horrific, and it's amazing!
Personally, I just enjoy the noise and find peace in it: I especially liked the recordings of the black hole and our Sun, cool sounds
Oh, but I'm sure there are probably prettier sounding 'space sounds' videos of other phenomena
And in general, I think it's a good thing that u look forward to hearing such things
Watch their video on the sounds recorded from Venus. It sounds soo amazing and relaxing!! I’m literally looking for an hour long version of it now so I can sit and listen to it! 😃😃😃🌕🌝💫🪐💛😀
Why?
As a sound designer, I'm blown away by how so many in my field have created sounds very similar when representing space - all without ever hearing these recordings. Thanks for the vid!
sounds like we have heard these sounds before
These sounds are created using magnetic field visualizing it like microwaves..
As he told in video how sounds are made by converting
thats because they basically random noise
The BBC Radiophonic Workshop back in the 60s were very into the theremin and ring modulator stuff. I remember someone describing it as "music you didn't like for plays you didn't understand."
The aesthetics and vibes we made up are true! It's like we are all one. We all know.
Around 4:02 I found at the bottom left that something popped up for a single frame it was 3 lines with different heights.
Awesome! Nicely done.

I'd love to see Rolo! 🐕👍
I was just about to comment- my guide dog really didn't like these sounds.. wonder what they're hearing?
I thought that there is no sound in open space because the effect we consider as "sound" is a vibration that propagates as an acoustic wave, through a transmission medium such as a gas, liquid or solid. Obviously sound is impossible in vacuum as shadow is impossible in the place with no light at all.
@@iyhan1987 He explained all that right at the beginning of the video. 0:59 Guess you haven’t watched it yet.

Recording 5 sounds similar to what one hears deep within our own oceans. Both are fascinating.

I love the sound of the black hole. It's sort of like dinosaurs screams. Not only that, but when you listen with headphones on you can hear the noise switch from one ear to the other.

The wonder, that the multiverse is and the power the creator wields is beyond amazing.
Creator not creators
Yes. The Creator HIS Majesty YAH is beyond amazing. If you're curious to know how it sounds like around His Throne, read
Revelation 4:5 (WEB) Out of the throne proceed lightnings, sounds, and thunders. There were seven lamps of fire burning before his throne, which are the seven Spirits of GOD.
Truly ...
The heavens declare the glory of GOD. The expanse shows his handiwork.
Day after day they pour out speech, and night after night they display knowledge.
There is no speech nor language, where their VOICE (sounds!) is not heard.
Their voice has gone out through all the earth, their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun,
which is as a bridegroom coming out of his room, like a strong man rejoicing to run his course.
Modern Reductionist Scientism says;
"13.8 billion years, and for no reason at all, the universe sprang from NOTHING into EVERYTHING.....but for no reason, trust us!"
Jehovah. Yes.
As per Islamic scriptures, called authentic hadith, Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said almost 1445 years ago that space has sound.
Very good. Thanks 👍
That sounds like the night when alone in the room alone when all is quite and you can hear sounds from far away and especially compleate dark it becomes louder, love it

The 2nd audio (black hole) is f terryfing!, the 3rd one reminds me my house at the village when it gets very windy..
On another note,...smell IS something that is detectable. During the shuttle program,..when the Astronauts were suited up and doing work outside of the shuttle in space and then came back into the shuttle afterwards and were now inside the shuttles pressurized and oxygenated environment they were able to get odors coming from the spacesuits,.. it was said that the spacesuit gave off an odor similar to that of a burnt steak.
Could that be the smell of them being blasted with all the radiation and gasses being blasted throughout the solar system, ending up on their suits?

So everyone has their own religion and beliefs etc. But I must say that these sounds appear as if angels, or other life forms are sort of clapping and chanting at the same time. All I mean to say is that's these are very divine, religious-esque sounds. Also neptune sounds like water boiling, mixed with icy hard snow flakes falling on objects/ cracking ice.
You hear what you want to hear. I hear rythms, as life's always about rythms, cycles, repetition, destruction and rebirth. And yes, planets, stars, quasars, black holes, it's all alive. The only way for it to be so, you can guess, is by rythms, cycles.
God. Period
@@windycity70 I have began my studies into cosmology and into the mysteries of the universe... And over time, I've come to realize that we will never really know how we got here. The Big Bang theory sounds just as likely as God creating the universe. I don't know how else to explain it. God creating the universe and eventually life on our planet makes more sense than just one day there's a "boom"(maybe the boom was God creating matter that formed into planets/solar systems/galaxies?) and the universe magically appears. Life has so many questions! Also, out of all the solar systems and planets out there, why is Earth the only one to be inhabited by life? Why was it specifically chosen when there are other planets out there that are in habitable zones but still no life lives there? It could drive a man mad trying to find the answers.
Our Sun sounds beautiful.
