I sometimes wonder what makes one write stuff not related to the video at all? Fear? Or is it some kind of mental disturbance making one to think others loved the same stuff or what? It sounds like the ice breaking up at the Arctic or Antartica. It also sounds like the ice banging on the side of the ship & being broken up by the Viking line when the front ice breaker broke up the ice whilst I travelled from Helsinki to Stockholm in the winter. The same eerie noises were heard through the night in the cabin.

We live in an amazing place. To know that it’s spinning and we’re standing still and are grounded is really a lot to grasp if you truly think about it. Science can explain it, but it’s still beyond me.

I can't stop listening. It's absolutely surreal!!! The Whispers, the groaning, glass shattering, underwater heatbeat. So much going on here, and it changes every time I listen
The lower sounds are like someone making ASMR sounds on a microphone. The higher sounds are like crystal or pieces of glass clinking together like chimes with no tones. This sounds way more wholesome than the creepy sounding black hole.

Yeah it sounds like when you are underwater, how curious is that!. This outer space noise is somewhat peaceful I love that I can listen to everything. We don’t hear any of this because we are down here, but being able to pay attention to what our planet says is beautiful. I mean, no wonder we are capable of attracting unidentified people and objects.

I think the reason most of us find the sounds soothing is because these sounds have always been a part of us. Embedded somewhere deep in our DNA. Hearing it feels like coming home to me. ❤❤❤

Amazing! Bits of it sounded like fragments of glass, or crystals were bouncing off a hard surface. I guess there would be no sound at all if nothing were striking the field: conversely, it's bound to be noisy as it's constantly fending stuff off. Bottle tops, windchimes and falling trees are the mimicked sounds I heard. So frightening to think of how fragile and vulnerable earth is suspended in space, still so protective and maternal just the same. Thank you for this video - it was rather enjoyable and intriguing.

The overwhelming majority of light that the Earth reflects comes from the sun, so when the sun is on the opposite side of Earth to the ISS, the Earth's surface below the ISS isn't reflecting very much light at all, only what the stars themselves produce, so of course they'd be visible.

I thought maybe bamboo chimes. It sounded as if there was an odd form of breathing and/or sniffling. I wonder what it would sound like sped up or slowed down or played backwards while now real speed and/or sped up or slowed down. Hmm.
It's honestly not creepy, it's comforting. I imagine it like a great, huge, whirring machine of magnetic force-fields surrounding the planet, it has the feeling and sound of a huge, underwater fortress where you know you're safe inside. I'd meditate or sleep to this as whitenoise.

Im sure I'm not the only one who feels this way but once I was watching a documentary on the vulnerability of our beautiful earth and a feeling came over me that I had never felt before. I realized how much I loved my planet and it hurt me to know that one day it will be gone. I have 4 children whom I ADORE and I feel the exact same about my earth. We are 1. Really, we are.
This is absolutely fascinating; the different types of sounds the Earth seems to give off(for lack of a better term). And when the ISS is going over the icy/glacial areas, the ocean, and seemingly solid ground, the pitch seems to change, and it’s almost like you can hear the difference between the each of them, or maybe it’s just supposably like coincidental or something(or there’s an actual reason, or it’s just me(Autistic male in his twenties that also has ADHD hah). It’s like deeper and has a bit more of a bass and kind of underwater-ish sound to it when it’s going over the ocean, and then sounds like ice breaking when going over the icy areas, and then has a deep bass sound that is like abrupt I guess when going over land/solid ground. All I know is that this is an amazing video, and this has been a question I’ve had ever since I even found out about space, ‘what does it sound like’. Incredible, definitely did not disappoint(not that I had any expectations haha). Anyhow, while I am no astronomer, or even know much about space at all) especially in this sense,(although that’s literally my absolute dream job-astronomer) this is purely based off my experience(/thoughts) I had whilst watching this video. I agree the sounds change depending on the locations. The glass breaking was the cherry on top! I have ADHD and this kept me interested the entire time.
Some say it's a soothing sound. But I think if you could all of a sudden hear this sound 24/7, it might drive some insane. Awesome sound. As for sleeping to this, I'd prefer the soft hum of a fan.

As a matter of fact I have my fan on right now, I have it on Everyday, I cannot sleep without my fan. I even turn my fan on in the winter time too because of the white noise helps me fall asleep. I Love my fan, would NEVER trade it for anything.

The lower sounds are like someone making ASMR sounds on a microphone. The higher sounds are like crystal or pieces of glass clinking together like chimes with no tones. This sounds way more wholesome than the creepy sounding black hole.

The sound of our planet isn't creepy, it sounds like the ice cracking on a lake as you go over it. But, it also sounds alive. Seeing as this is the sound of our planet taking care of us all, I would listen to it all day and any change in it I would panic.

Amazing! Bits of it sounded like fragments of glass, or crystals were bouncing off a hard surface. I guess there would be no sound at all if nothing were striking the field: conversely, it's bound to be noisy as it's constantly fending stuff off. The overwhelming majority of light that the Earth reflects comes from the sun, so when the sun is on the opposite side of Earth to the ISS, the Earth's surface below the ISS isn't reflecting very much light at all, only what the stars themselves produce, so of course they'd be visible.

Im sure I'm not the only one who feels this way but once I was watching a documentary on the vulnerability of our beautiful earth and a feeling came over me that I had never felt before. I realized how much I loved my planet and it hurt me to know that one day it will be gone. I have 4 children whom I ADORE and I feel the exact same about my earth. We are 1. Really, we are.

This is absolutely fascinating; the different types of sounds the Earth seems to give off(for lack of a better term). And when the ISS is going over the icy/glacial areas, the ocean, and seemingly solid ground, the pitch seems to change, and it’s almost like you can hear the difference between the each of them, or maybe it’s just supposably like coincidental or something(or there’s an actual reason, or it’s just me(Autistic male in his twenties that also has ADHD hah). It’s like deeper and has a bit more of a bass and kind of underwater-ish sound to it when it’s going over the ocean, and then sounds like ice breaking when going over the icy areas, and then has a deep bass sound that is like abrupt I guess when going over land/solid ground. All I know is that this is an amazing video, and this has been a question I’ve had ever since I even found out about space, ‘what does it sound like’. Incredible, definitely did not disappoint(not that I had any expectations haha).
Anyhow, while I am no astronomer, or even know much about space at all) especially in this sense,(although that’s literally my absolute dream job-astronomer) this is purely based off my experience(/thoughts) I had whilst watching this video. Thanks for probably not reading this, have a nice day.

I agree the sounds change depending on the locations. The glass breaking was the cherry on top! I have ADHD and this kept me interested the entire time.
Some say it's a soothing sound. But I think if you could all of a sudden hear this sound 24/7, it might drive some insane. Awesome sound. As for sleeping to this, I'd prefer the soft hum of a fan.

As a matter of fact I have my fan on right now, I have it on Everyday, I cannot sleep without my fan. I even turn my fan on in the winter time too because of the white noise helps me fall asleep.
