- We are at quarters of Los Angeles County Fire Department Station 127 at 2049 East 223rd Street, better known as the firehouse for Station 51 from the TV show "Emergency!", where we see Quint 127 as it gets toned out and responds to an auto accident. I am not sure where the location of the accident was, or which other units responded. Quint 127 is a 1998 KME Excel TDA with a 75-foot mid-mount stick. Enjoy the view of the rig as it responds, as well as the view of arguably the most famous firehouse in the country, if not the world. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome. The video was taken on August 16th, 2023.

Nice this is Station 51 uses for the 1970s Show Emergency!
That Ford beside it is pretty sweet, nice catch!
Thanks! I looked at the build date; the truck itself is a 1979 Ford, the Chassis is a 1980 Pierce.
I lived in Norwalk back in the 80's and early 90's, would watch reruns of Emergency on KTLA all the time, and yet I had no idea that the station was a simple 17 miles from me. Pre-internet days, so how would I know?
Would love to see that old rig!
If you took the universal studios tour back in that day they would tell you where that fire station was
That Station is in Carsonville, California, LA County. Station 127 is the same Fire Station of the 70's TV Show Emergency. Engine 51 sat where the Quint pulled out of, and Squad 51 was parked where the Ford Foam Unit is sitting.
Carson, not Carsonville.
@@spencerberklite5118 yes, you are correct, and I stand corrected. For some reason, I was thinking of a tiny Town in Pennsylvania, named Carsonville when I made the comment. Thanks for correcting me.
Carson..
Didn’t have the plaque when we were there
@@douglasnorby4006 I believe the plaque was installed a short time ago.
“Station 51 KMG 365.”
Bring back the old school tones!! Lol
Outstanding good to see the old foam 10
Emergency theme music is playing I. My head as I watch this. The space looks small now given the increased size of today’s Trucks. Lastly. The neighbor buildings are close vs what we’ve always watched on TV ❤️❤️
Now that Ward was still a beast! I used to own one.
Miss the Snorkle. Still in service when we went
Was their first out. Just like in show..
Yup. I agree. That Ford sitting there looks pretty bada**!
wow.....just wow....
Engine 127 no more?
Neat Ford!
It's not Carsonville, it's just Carson
LAC units usually have two seals on the doors. Why does Q127 only have one?
Weird that they have an emergency traffic light but it was green when the truck rolled out
Sadly Station 127 isn't a Lightforce Anymore. It's Only Quint Now.
Think about the huge difference in cost by removing an engine, an engineer and a firefighter from the company. Quints make a lot more sense economically, and with the staffing situation every department is facing those two crew members can be reassigned to be more productive.
Quint? Looks like a ladder truck
Not a mid mount stick. It’s a 100’ TDA. Mid mounts don’t bend in the middle like a TDA or Tiller.
He's refering to where it's mounted on the chassis, which is in the middle. And looking at the length of the stick? Yeah no that's a 75 foot, not 100.
KMG 365
Wait, was that QuikCall I?
Not sure. It might have been.
Is that really a quint, and not a tiller?
@yelpbullhorn it's both, it's a quint too because it has a pump
A “Quint” is by it’s NFPA definition five components;1) An aerial ladder 2) Has a complement( usually 200+ feet),of ground ladders 3)Has a pump 4) Has a water tank 5)Has a complement of attack line and supply hose. Being that it’s a tiller has nothing to do with whether it’s qualified as a “Quint”!
@trob0914 .... thank you for that, but I do know what a quint is. It's just that I've never seen a tiller quint before, that's all.
@@YelpBullhornLAFD&LACOFD have several!!
Hopefully these lads dont get too annoyed with fans.
They don't. They are used to it.
Office was totally different when I saw it. Tiny..
Any videos of that old girl responding?
Unfortunately, the foam unit did not respond while I was there.
yea she's a spare the frontline is a 2012 International
I have a video of when it was being used as Foam 73. ua-cam.com/video/evFFe3nXXH4/v-deo.html
