Just a tip for the BC who took off down the street without his overheads activated. Always look at a wall inside the station and you'll instantly know if you turned yours on.

Thank you so much for sharing and showing the Real FF of the great Chicago FD. I 💕 the TWO squads. The history of the following snorkel is amazing by the former Chiefs personal Design. It's amazing to see the nice Recliners on the bay floor looking at the control bay ( just guessing they must have a TV to look at) I love the idea that the real FF of Chicago gets their bay area for R&R time. A big one I see is making sure Bay doors are closed, not just for security but to keep the perky PIGEON 🐦 out of station, they seem to NOT care about getting RUN over.
Let's stop and honor and appreciate the paramedics and firemen who proudly serve us your service and time and efforts are deeply appreciated even by Chicago fd responding keep them safe out there in the windy city of Chicago great job great catches as usual still going strong way to go appreciate you guys ! It would be poetic justice if they were responding to the house of the lady who took her time walking across the firehouse apron while the Chief was blasting his siren for her to move.
You will notice that “Squad 1 + 1A were dirty as well! Those units run volume is probably quite a bit higher than those particular engine Co.s! That translates to less time to spiff up the rig! My department’s chief had us cleaning rigs after just about every run, however we were in Alaska with SIGNIFICANTLY less run volume!!
Holy hell Ambulance 28 needs a wash. How do you let it get that bad? You would need to change your gloves out just getting in and out of that thing. Literally all you need is about five or ten minutes to take care of that.
When I was a kid leaving In Chicago from the 60’s - 80’s, they would send a police officer to those houses that were getting burglarized on a regular basis.
From what I understand, one of the Chiefs a long time a go was also a nautical man. It has something to do with the lights on boats (as well as planes), where there is a red light on the left (port) side and a green light on the right (starboard) side. Most of the vehicles (except the ambulances) had a green light on the outer pod on their light bars, but one of the vehicles i saw had blue white & red on the full light bar, but only a green flashing light on the front of it.

Chief check your lights! I guess he doesn’t get a driver’s aid. Darn.
Mhm
Probably his 50th response for alarms that day has a lot going on in his mind probably
@@pushvedula5640chiefs are first out to establish incident command so being last isn’t ideal for a battalion chief

all of the battalions rollout with out lights. love it

Great compilation Ivan!
Nice Lights Cheif 👍🏻👍🏻
Outstanding video and coverage, thanks for sharing..🙌🏼👍👏🏼🚨🚒
Thx a lot!!!
I love the monster hook and ladder trucks. They were always my favorites when I was a kid
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS ! ❤️❤️ GREAT JOB !! 🎉

They better close the doors or when they come back everything will be stolen, it's Chicago :)
Cool Catch Ivan!
2:01 Well that's cool! Offices above the truck garages?
*hears multiple door motors below* "Uh oh, they got a call!"
Lol yup chief turn the lights on first, and that station needs to invest in door openers. Geesh
Engine 26 is like truck 81 from Chicago fire and that’s awesome 🤩
Thats not engine 26 that's spare trucks 26
Great video!! Nicely done.

nice to see we aren't the only ones who hit the wrong button on the GDO LOL

Great stuff!!
Thx a lot!!!
I like how they run. Every time I see clips from FDNY, they seem to walk casualy around.
FDNY definitely doesn’t walk
I remember I saw a few videos of fdny fire response they would run
Wow - never saw a Chief turn out that fast in my life!
They usually go last

Man I bet the tones go off all day there

@@mikeserot1410I think it means Battalion Chief.
Nice. New subscriber
Thx!!!
Chicago fire department is the finest
The last clip station always remind me of chicago fire
That fire house is fire house 51 if is engine 18 house
I liked the Last station shown (E18) I think this was the location that Chicago Fire tv episode was originally shot.
It was still is for the tv show
Awesome Catches! Battalion Chief 18 Forgot to turn on their lights.
Definitely tells me that he wants to save people and get the job done!
can't save no one if he doesn't make it there@@cfdivan55
@@cfdivan55yep 🤣
Battalion chief 18 car did not had the flashing lights for his siren on next time he should have them on
I like House 51 the most
where in chicago is this fire department?
Ancient fleet from the early 2000s
Firehouse 51 from Chicago fire last scene
Ivan, would you smoke a cigar after one crazy job?
If Squad 1 gets called does that mean 1A goes as well?
Yes they always go together every run they get
Nice Video but why do they have a green light on one side?
They mostly use it when is a real emergency
Listen to that Detroit take off
Chief forgot to turn on his overheads.
6:36 "firehouse 51". Have you ever been around while they were filming?
Was to late when I try is like if I go there to see the show they don’t want me to see it
Am I the only one who thinks these sirens sound like toys?
Probably not
He forgot the lights
Chief, may want to switch then overheads on.
Oh neat, the outro is NBC's CFD Fire House 51 IRL
Yes
It's station 18 isn't it but 51 in the show
God this reserve truck in the first clip 🤤🤤🤤
WOAH!!!
BTC forgot to Turn on the Lights xD
Chicago has some old ragedy fire trucks.
question at 0:28 did the battalion chief forget to turn the ELS on?
Yes
Most stations in NSW AUSTRALIA have door openers in the appliances so they can shut the door automatically without wasting time
The first vehicle didn't have his emergency Lights on when entered the street?
No
Hey in the first one what siren did the ladder truck usezv
Pa300
At least they move/run unlike the NYC guys that just walk
That Seagrave is tired. It looks like it just wants to give up. 😅
Nope is just a lazy seagrave
Think Chief forge his emergency lights
Why are their sirens so different?
There some old rigs that have old sirens that is rare to fined
Batallion Chief forgot to turn on his lights 😂
Yup!!
I am sure he was yelling at people not getting out of the way
What’s up with Chicago’s engines looking crystal clean but then the ladders look like they were awoken from the junk yard
You will notice that “Squad 1 + 1A were dirty as well! Those units run volume is probably quite a bit higher than those particular engine Co.s! That translates to less time to spiff up the rig! Yup
Wow I wasn’t aware that Batt. Chiefs in Chicago drive themselves.
BC’s have been drivin themselves for years. Took away their drivers in the 90s. District Chief and Deputy District Chiefs have drivers.
They need more funds..
Why is the ambulance parked outside
Because they needed a 2nd ambulance that day
What kind of boat do you stand in when filming these?
Like the serie Chicago Fire 6:41
Do you watch Chicago fire?
Not as much as I use to
Nice video. But I think the Los Angeles City Fire Department is the best in America.....Ok, go
Everyone has their own opinion.
The Chief should never go first especially when he can't even remember to turn his lights on...
The chief always goes first because he is faster and has more time to assess the incident before the crew arrives
Lmfaoooo why should he just sit and wait for everyone else 😂
That guy at 5:50 has a punch me face.
Chicago has the same sirens we New Yorkers have copycats
At least Chicago has towers that don't fall
6:38 😲
Does anyone watch the house while everyone is out? Housewatch like FDNY?
When I was a kid leaving In Chicago from the 60’s - 80’s, they would send a police officer to those houses that were getting burglarized on a regular basis.
Most stations in NSW AUSTRALIA have door openers in their appliances so they can close them as they leave without wasting anytime
IS that the Chicago Fire 51 or a real house?
The last part of the video yes
It is station 18 which is where they filmed the show
different sound off siren.
The first ones are kinda dumb no lights on the suv the ambulance in parked wrong and the ladder truck closes the door before pulling out
Better get a wrag
Works better with the lights on Chief!
PUSH-OUT!!
Fast with speed!!
How come they use green lights instead of blue/white?
Any rig that has green lights means sporting emergency vehicle light requesting the right of the way if you get what I mean
From what I understand, one of the Chiefs a long time a go was also a nautical man. We're not on boats it's either off side or near side not nautical terms
Probably not the best video of CFD. Command forgot his lights; ambulance made a wrong turn; garage door issues…😂
It happens 😌
For sure. They still deserve a ton of respect and gratitude.
Ex Truck 4
3:16. Medic driving with gloves on? I remember my first day too…
Hey my school is right by engine 18
Nice!!
the fire chief veh had his siren on but no lights
These people to slow for response time
