Your channel single handedly took my mandolin playing up another level. also it would be awesome if you could do a lesson on bluegrass vocals. Thanks man
@@ChrisHenryVideos Hey! Maybe a video on vocal range and the vocal techniques used to create the "bluegrass" sound would be awesome. keep up the good work!
Omg, I almost forgot but I believe you are in NCarolina. I hope everyone will be ok after all the flooding. I saw you at the Museum of Appalachia. Honestly, it was thrilling to see your performance in the band. I have appreciated all of your tutorials greatly. I truly loved the great trad sound you guys could achieve. Cant remember the headliner guy’s name, Shaun? But, he plays Lester with the Earls, my true fave band. The dobro guy was powerful and had a great beard too. I only knew Shaun and you but you guys have a great sound, a bit more trad at times than the WBHeroea. Thanks for all your vids until I can pay you better.
Thank you so much for the kindness! That was an excellent occasion and what a beautiful spot to enjoy some music. Yes - Shawn Camp - massive talent! The dobro picker’s name is jimmy stewart - also a fav! Such a good bluesy feel to his playing. 😀🙏🎶
Another great lesson, and thank you for it. I' m pretty new to the style and so this will be a couple of weeks of work , but sounds like there are a bunch of building blocks on there that I can use again.
I felt like getting into Monroe style early on was one of the very best things I did for my music. Give it a crack! It can be best to go slowly and be patient and gentle with yourself, it can be very challenging. and you are so welcome buddy!
@@ChrisHenryVideosI love Monroe style and think it’s such a critical part of playing mandolin that I really need to bear down on getting better at it. Appreciate your instruction. Clear, concise, and very well done.
"Move on the upstroke!" That's the piece I've been hearing and not getting! Thanks, professor!
