- Over the past few year, Walmart has been bringing in more and more car detailing products. With some amazing chemicals from brands like Meguiars, Turtle Wax, Suds Lab, and more to their newest focus on detailing tools. The Platinum Series line of products has always produced Microfiber Towels, Drying Towels, and other accessories like brushes... but they just brought in a new Dual Action Polisher and Polishing Pads. They also released a handheld steam cleaner and updated some of their past microfiber selections into a more "detailer" friendly selection that I am very happy to see. But how do these new products work???... ENJOY!

My Walmart also has a detailing cart & creeper seat
The 2 for $10 platinum drying towels are a great buy.
Those new rolls are amazing. Like, they're legitimately pretty good microfiber towels. I love it.
Walmart looks like they're stepping up to the plate in the detailing world.
Thanks so much Josh for taking the time to try out and give your professional opinion with these videos. I have tried some of these products you recommend and have not been disappointed. Thanks Again!
Thanks Josh I will tell my wife to get the polisher for me for Father’s Day to polish her car win win
I have one of the older style rolls from Walmart. I love using them with dirty jobs I don't want to bring out my good microfibers for, such as cleaning off bird crap on vehicles or taking care of dirty/greasy spills and the like. Love that I don't mind just grabbing one, using it, and then throwing it away. Don't have to worry about cleaning it and taking care with it. They're fantastic to just use and toss.
very green
Good presentation Josh! ✔️👌🏼
Love the WM roll towels...use them everyday. I've actually washed several of them numerous times to test durability and they have held up well.
Thanks for finding all these new items. I usually order stuff online but it’s good to know that other places have items that I can run and get quickly if needed.
Thanks Josh for the info
Great review! All good info. You cover everything so well Josh. I’m gonna have to try these out
I snagged those microfiber very convenient and not bad priced
I really love your videos! 🙌🏻 thank you.
Thanks for the review, prolly pick up the roll of microfibers. I have a smaller roll now
Thanks Josh things to think about!!
Just ordered the Walmart polisher picking it up tomorrow hopefully it will get the job done!
I ordered the MaxShine MS8 when you had the special 15%off came with polisher & pads. That’s at my other house 700 miles away & needed one to do a DIY 5 yr ceramic job. Not a pro but this will be my forth coating. Thanks for all your great videos & reviews. You & Pan are the absolute best!👍🏻
I find myself using the microfiber towels on a roll for a lot of different things, Walmart is offering a lot more things for detailing it just sucks now having to find someone to unlock the cabinets, thanks Josh 👍😁
Just picked the yellow 300 gsm 40 pack at Walmart and all of the towels were bound ie. not edgeless as the product you promoted. These are going back!
Nice video for a beginner!
The yellow compound pad works great with Meguiar's Ultimate Compound and a Milwaukee 15mm throw random orbital polisher using a 9.0ah battery. I polished out the drivers side rear quarter panel on my neighbors' 2010 (?) Camaro. I was very impressed with pad performance when compared to Lake City pads. I massaged the pad to soften it up and put a spritz of Duragloss detail spray on the pad prior to the Megs UC.
The pads are readily available at my local Walmart.
Mine is now carrying Suds Lab and Adams products too.
Suds lab has been there for a while. He has a video on it
@jamesdavies686 very true forgot about that.....happy to see some Adams products now
Suds Lab disappointed me with their exterior cleaners.
Their interior stuff is nice though
Loveee this i appreciate this video
Both the roll and bag of towels look pretty good. I never bought them there because I noticed the towels they did have were small in size and packs. This was 3 years ago!
I've used the pads for a few months and they are great. Work well, hold up well, Velcro is still great. Only downside is they're pretty stiff and dense so cleaning out takes a little extra effort.
Thanks for the honest review! We appreciate you taking the time to check out our products and sharing your thoughts. Your feedback helps us improve! 🙏
Oh shit they watched the review! This is how a good company grows. I’m going to check out your pads and micros this week!
I'm a professional detailer and own my own business! I love your products! Keep up the great work. I MUCH prefer being able to go into my local Walmart and stock up on stuff rather than constantly ordering online. Thank you!
As always..... Thank you
Thanks for watching!
I’m been thinking about becoming a car detailer when I retire in a few years. But detailing seem to be very saturated. The UA-cam detailers seem to have to make videos or create content. Well it looks like they don’t have cars to detail . This economy is horrible.
Detailing is for under 40, not retired people. UA-cam detailers have clients, they don’t have time to produce videos every time they take a whizz
Thanks Josh, as always, great content. I had no idea Walmart was carrying pads and polishers now. Microfibers in a roll....does it get any better than that!!
Fantastic video, that’s alot of new stuff
Thanks mike
I use those yellow towels for cleaning windows. Before and after we tint the vehicles.
Awesome good to know!
Sad that society today has forced Wal Mart to keep the good stuff locked up in cabinets.
Don't blame society because society IS the reason why Walmart still exists.
What they did is just straight disrespecting their customers. They make their customers wait more than 5 minutes (sometimes I do Instacart so I experienced that numerous times) for someone to come and open the rack for them to get 25$ engine oil. That's just pathetic. People's time is worth way more than what they lose on shoplifting.
Then the same people who shoplift bitch when the stores close due to not making money. It is smart to do this. Keeps prices down. That is why they are getting rid of the self checkout lanes. Hell, he is in California. Places out there, you can't even leave your car to pump gas without getting robbed.
@@fedor7695unless you yourself can help prevent shoplifting, just stfu your time is worthless to anyone else.
#FWalmart
Yes, don’t blame society….just certain parts of it
My man Josh back at it yeeee dat. #SDaygo represent
I still using the old roll towels.
Walmart has stepped up their game I get a lot of stuff from Walmart from Adams to Chemical Guys to Jay Leno but anyway another great video Josh
Thanks for the video! How is the vibration on the Platinum polisher compared to the Bauer?
back in the day my dad used to work in a AID store which was the Autozone back then. He used to bring home for me Gliptone Waxes which were unbelievably good. Specifically Show Coat which went on like water and came off after hazing just as easy...wish I could find it again. If only there was a thing called the internet...
I love these kind of reviews. Pretty cool to be able to walk out of Walmart with everything you need to get started in polishing a car. Any chance you will do a review of the Vevor 20V 6 inch cordless polisher? The one battery version is only $60 on the A site. it looks good, just depends on if it has good power or not.
Great saleman
I saw those rip towels today! Once I finish my shop rags I’ll probably pick that roll up. Also saw they have a detailing cart $79 and a detailing seat$38 under the auto drive brand
Nice!!!
How much are the new rip towels on a roll?
@@cdotwu $25
I’m kinda new to this. Regarding the towels, what would you use the long side for vs the short side ?
Hey Josh, what do you recommend to do the interior of a C7 leather?
Can you make an updated video on your preference for polishes/compounds and your go to pads for it
This.
Hi Josh What's your opinion on car dusters?
Some Walmarts lock up all that stuff 😂 god I’m so thankful I live in Oklahoma
Josh I purchased the pressure gauge you use in your video to test psi and I’m running an uberflex hose with my Active VE52. For some reason I can’t get the gauge to attach to the quick connect on my hose, but my stubby gun connects fine. Do I need something special to connect the gauge?
now it's time for a comparison between the 300GSM roll and the Costco towel. At regular prices, they're both 50 cents (though the towels are on sale at costco right now)
Walmart is also carrying Sudslabs version of the Scrub Ninja
Just picked up a roll to try out. I was considering their 40 pack of yellows. You think they’re a good Kirkland replacement ? Same price for more towels and edgeless. I just didn’t know if they lint. Never had that issue with the kirklands
Where did you get the carry handle for the rags on a roll?
Waiting on video for the big boi blower +
Wait quick question, the microfiber towels I use are the ones in this video. You mentioned something about it being bad for the paint? Can you explain?
Can you change the backing plate on that polisher?
Hey Josh do you still recommend kirkland micros for value? Or should I pay more for rag company
Josh, as a novice polisher would recommend I sell the 21mm Milwaukee polisher I bought and get the 15mm?
Hey Josh I accidentally dried my microfiber towels on high heat one time. Does that mean they are trashed now?
Does anyone know if this is better than the DA Polisher from harbor freight that costs around $80 (the short one)
I also picked up that pack of yellow towels the edges on the pack I got felt hard like when the factory was cutting the towels to size they burnt the edges crisping them up
Interesting... Mine feel fine I actually got 2 packs. Ill keep an eye out for that on these though
Try returning them and getting a new pack.
@@shay1116 I am. The harbor freight green and purple edgeless towels just went on sale so I might just pick up a set of those
@@Enthusiast_detailing The app just told me they are $5.99, might have to get some myself.
Appreciate the video my man... I was just wondering and forgive me for my lack of knowledge on this, but would you ever use a polishing machine on Chrome? Say to apply a chrome polish or cleaner ect ect... once again, thanks for the video, and keep up the great work!
Yea definitely
Can you swap the backing plate to a 3 inch
Costco has the yellow microfiber towels on sale $13.97
it's time for a comparison between the Kirkland towel and the large roll of towels.
I bought a roll of the towels but at $25 a roll with 25 towels per roll I’m picky about what I use them on. They are washable too.
even better that it's 50 towels per roll
I wonder if this polisher could be refitted as a 5" with just a simple backing plate setup and no other modifications...or 3" for smaller area work?
It’s on a normal spindle so I don’t see why not!
I am looking for a entry lvl polisher. (2 trucks and an RV are expensive to sub-out.)
Truck $60, MiniVan $220, 20" RV Trailer $300 - dang expensive.
I'm just a guy learning to keep his shit clean.
A trip to Walmart to do them all myself. Under $168
Thx Josh
This is a good inexpensive choice. Also check out the Bauer polisher at harbor freight
Wow. My local Walmart sucks. They actually carrying less and less products.
Should have turned the machine to see how loud it is
Too bad no 5 inch pads
Josh are you former navy?
I am not, but my grandfather was a navy pilot
Very nice. Tattoos just reminded me of navy. Not sure why just did.
Public service announcement PLEASE dont ever put stuff under your seat on newer cars.
Ive had to charge customers almost 400 bucks parts abd labor because they let stuff get under the seat and broke the occupant sensor.
It happens ALOT.
That steamer is straight trash . I bought mine an didn’t work at all 🤦🏼♂️
Wanted to watch your video but couldn't stand the 2 hours of commercials beforehand
Yea UA-cam can lay them in pretty heavy and even make them unskippable at times
Walmart Micro Towels Scratched the F out of my cars paint and interior!!!!! Don't buy those!!!!
Great. Review on products for the DIYer who isn’t spending hundreds of dollars on professional level products.
