you should probably give the solution first and then make room for the story. i know long format videos are important but when you are looking for a solution that is not what you want.
@@julianchase147 yes it is, especially if the claimed "fix" is only 10 seconds. Ctrl+Shift+Win+B is also a semi-known hotkey, but does not fix waking from sleep. It has fixed other occasional GPU issues (usually those with garbage GPU drivers like AMDs horrendous 22.10.2 update) but not this one.
Thank you so much for this! The Control+Shift+Win+B shortcut solved my issue. I was getting a glitchy desktop and scroll bar after waking from sleep, but this seems to fix it. I had to restart my computer previously to fix this. I just did a new PC build on Win 11 with 7900 XT, and wasn't sure if this was due to my tinkering with the GPU undervolting or VRAM OC.
CTRL + SHIFT + WIN KEY + B command does NOT wake any of the 3 monitors that are plugged into the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060Ti of my new Dell XPS 8950 running under Windows 11. Nor did that command work on the PC it replaced, which was the same model with same configuration. Any monitor plugged into the GPU's 4th port, which is an HDMI port always wakes.
That used to happen to me, but that was cuz of unstable undervolt, after a restart I wouldve get a notification in radeon software that my tuning settings are back to default. But now my undervolt is stable and it doesnt happen anymore.
Off-Topic Question, Have you experienced an issue when you Alt-tab out of game and Alt-tab back into Game, the Mouse Cursor will flicker constantly? Hitching or micro-stuttering will be present. This issue doesn't always happen but it happens often and was wondering if you ever experienced or know how to fix this issue, thank you AGS
win+ctrl+shift+b especially useful as NVIDIA user when trying to startup dark souls 3 and it black screens trying to fight over refresh rate settings with the game 🙃
It will help me in near future. But i have a question. You said this short cut will reset graphic drivers. So if i press this then it should reset my undervolting settings. Is it right?
I think he meant it restarts so reinitialising the gfx driver, not resetting to safe defaults. As some have commented this kind of problem can occur after a driver crash and the AMD software resets the Wattman defaults to official values (which turns off AIB oc too).
I had a similar problem. But the monitor was not supposed to dim-out or sleep with my settings. It was Basicly locking up. I was able to use DDU and swap GPUs out and back... Seemed to fix it.
Had an Rx5600xt with the black screen issue (I told you this in many of your videos in the past). After new mobo (and different brand) and new Rx6600xt, issue persists. ctrl+shift+win+b did not work before nor now. Win 10 user. The cpu and dram status led on the mobo flashes non stop.
