Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP launched a scathing attack on the Congress after Sam Pitroda, the chief of Indian Overseas Congress, appeared to advocate for a US-style inheritance tax amid the ongoing debate over wealth redistribution.
The Congress, on the other hand, distanced itself from Pitroda's remark, saying that his views do not always reflect the position of the party.
Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi appeared to take a U-turn on his wealth survey remark, saying he only wanted to find out the amount of injustice the country was facing.

Voluntary distribution of wealth is ancient dharmic way of equity in india
Problem for most of the honest tax payers is that the same 3-4% middle and upper middle class will be screwed and super rich will hide behind trusts, companies or can leave the country. Rich farmers and politicians will not pay this tax either. 😢. Such bad ideas should not take root because we know how the implementation will be.

Common on.. congress itself didnt pay tax for more than a decade and now talking on redistribution .. people are fools to vote for that party ..

@@anishmohan7813 not needed upto certain limit.. every part enjoys that luxury .. Cong. didn't pay tax .. didn't care about notices sent... also owning property of their non-profit org... these are all fine... but the vested interest groups involved with congress ... are from foreign countries.. this is not acceptable..
@@bhanum9213 who is that foreign country? What is evidence for that except from whatsapp university. For every bad thing that bjp does they want to hide it with this "foreign country" agenda. Truth can not be hidden for long.
