man those were crazy days! that Marlin and pronterface look quite funny. thankfully we are in more modern days.
@@3dprinting_noob true, but in order to show gcode and communication it is simpler than showing a raspberry pi interface in initial tutorial.

Does anyone know why my Z axis will not home. It just moves a little bit up then down but never touches the end stop switch.
Does it move away from the Endstop? One solution is the reverse NEMA 17 plug direction or change Marlin firmware to invert homing. Hope this helps.
@@EdwardBraiman Thanks thst worked. X and Z axis working great. When I move the y axis lets say 10mm. It moves Y positive then when I move it another 10mm it moves back to the original spot.
