- Ted Lasso received a package from his son Henry with a bottle of his favorite BBQ Sauce, Arthur Bryants, and says it reminds him of home. He uses the phrase BBQ sauce while playing darts with Rupert in season 1. In season 3 he receives the BBQ sauce at Yankee Doodle Burger Barn in Amsterdam and says BBQ Sauce during the winning play in the final game.

The fact the Rupert said to put Obisanya on defence in season 1 and in season 3, he is the offensive that wins the winning goal is an amazing touch. Just noticed that!
The darts scene makes my heart bigger every time I see it. For Ted and Rebecca and the rest of the room. Not a mean takedown but a solid one.
Hits even harder when later it's revealed how his father passed away.

I shortened his speech a little and it blew a coworker's mind. Just tried to help her through the shift. I just watched the episode a week before
I think the reason he said BBQ sauce during the dart scene was that he felt the unresolved emotion about his father passing and it shook him but saying bbq sauce is like a mental reset for him.
I thought he was referencing Bullseye brand barbecue sauce.
I think you are right because in that first BBQ sauce he asks Rebecca if she has any foods that instantly transports her back home (implying that the BBQ sauce does that for him)
And also... "Bullseye" is one of the most famous Barbecue sauces in America.
Ted: "Barbecue Sauce" = "Bullseye" = Perfect shot
there’s also that scene in 3x11 when ted texts his mother that his wifi password is BBQs@auce !

The look in Rebecca’s eyes when she realizes that she has seriously underestimated Ted is priceless.
I have watched and rewatched this series a few times. It is always great. And the dart scene is everything you want in a well told story.

The thing that annoys me about the Darts scene (as almost perfect as it is) is that Ted says that people are too judgement and not curious enough to ask if he plays Darts.
But just before that monologue Rupert literally asks him if he likes Darts - and Ted isn't honest and plays right handed pretending he is shit at darts.
Rupert asked him "do you like darts" which is a very different question to "do you have experience with darts," and Rupert had spent the time leading up to the game being incredibly rude to Rebecca without stopping to really think about Ted's existence.
