From someone who stayed in the same dorms as Matt during her summer exchange at SNU (and also from NTU haha, hi guys!): Some other points that Matt didn't cover: - En suite - having an attached bathroom and toilet was so convenient, coming from someone who had common showers and toilets back in Singapore and had to get out of her room every time she needed the toilet. Could also be a con as you and your roommate had to be responsible for its cleanliness, meaning you have to wash your own toilet and shower every now and then! Even for a short stay, this wasn't too big of a problem for both of us as we managed to work out a schedule (weekly cleaning) and we both tried to keep the toilet and shower as clean as possible. - Free laundry (washer and dryer) - I know this might not seem like a big deal but it really is, because imagine having to pay 1000 won or so each time you want to do your laundry; you will be accumulating quite a fair bit to make the most out of each wash. Having free machines really take that trouble of having to monitor your dirty clothes and be able to do your laundry whenever you want, and it really came into good use as I did ceramics and had to wash my dirty apron every time after class, no doubt! - Free parcel collection service - not sure why Matt didn't mention this! Ever since I realised there was a parcel collection room at the carpark that services all the dorms, I quickly went into figuring out the address of our dorm and started buying things online. The parcels are sorted based your block so it is really easy to find, and you cannot take a parcel out of the room without signing off, so it's also really safe and overall super convenient! You can also post parcels out from the same room, but from my knowledge, it's only within Korea so international students will still have to head to the post office (which is also available on campus). - SNU's location: I mean, can't fault this but for those who are considering different universities for summer exchange, SNU's location is really out of the way from the more "fun" areas like Gangnam, Hongdae, Itaewon and you would really be walking back up the hill from Gwanak station after a night out (or just wait until the services are running again lol). It is a good half an hour train ride to most of the places I frequented, in addition to a 10-15 minute bus ride from the dorms to the train station. For those planning for their undergrad or postgrad, please don't factor in the location of the university when thinking about which uni to pick as there are way more important issues to consider! To the both of you: could you guys perhaps talk more about your major and the different tracks, and why did you guys choose to do a postgrad in GSIS? As well as some of your considerations when picking a university for postgrad and how did you all eventually arrived at SNU's GSIS because to my knowledge both Yonsei and Korea Uni have similar programs. Thanks in advance! :)
Thank you so much!! :) We did cover points on laundry and SNU location actually! :) but thank you so much for adding on!! And of course, the other points since the video couldnt fit all of them so thank you!!! 💕💕
Thank you guys for the video. I am GKS student too, now studying language. Next semester I plan to live in SNU dormitories. So this helped me alot. Thanks so much guys^^.
I M IN LOVE WITH YOUR VIDEOS, I had small doubts- 1. which university will you prefer- YONSIE/EWHA/KOREA/SEOUL NATIONAL UNIVERSITY FOR THE 2 TOP PRIORITY OF THE COLLEGES 2. can you please do a video for global housing😄😄😄😄 3. how are you getting prettier video by video? 4. for the study plan, do we need to write which sub- subject we will be choosing.....? I m glad I got to know about you so early........ you treat each of us like a younger sibling lost.
Thank you for your support!!! 1. I am from SNU so of course, SNU and Yonsei/Korea if you are hoping to get into prestigious schools! 2. yes i will! :) 3. Thank you 💕🥺 4. It would be good to be related to your major!
Can't comment on the rest but on your first question - I would say to think about what major you would like to take first, then delve deep into which university has a more comprehensive curriculum for that major, or have a course structure that you may prefer better! Each university has several majors that they are more famed at over others and it would probably be wise to pick a university based on the academic program rather than the other aspects like facilities, student life etc. :)
Please I would like to know if it's a must for one to exit Korea immediately after the completion of one's studies or if one has an option to stay on and work or just establish a career there basically. Would really appreciate a response thanks. 🤗
Hi! I'm applying to the KGSP graduate 2021 program, and am wondering if you know anyone in the program who answered YES on the medical form for experiencing anxiety? I've had anxiety before but am afraid that it will get me disqualified from the program
I read in another video to mark all as NO unless it is quite serious. Like to the point you can’t even be around people and stuff like that. Like really bad anxiety.

So since what I want to master in is related to design, I was thinking that maybe I could include a few custom designs related to the program (as part of the “etc”. in the application). What are your thoughts about this? I really want to have a chance, but I’m concerned that they may consider me a weak applicant because I’m lacking extracurricular activities.
