  • Visit one of the most remote and least-visited tombs in the Valley of the Kings, once the resting place of the successor to Tutankhamun. Enter the burial chamber and examine it and the sarcophagus that once contained the pharaoh Ay’s mummy in large-format 4K, as if you were deep beneath the Theban Hills yourself.

Nice tomb video. I like the music. Some archaeologists think this tomb was originally built for Tutankhamen.

Poor Ay, murdered in the afterlife by Horemheb. Interesting that Horemheb's beef with Ay was purely personal, probably over who should have succeeded Tutankhamen, and not over the Amarna heresy. If he had destroyed Ay's mummy and erased his name over the Aten religion of Akhenaten then he would have done the same to Tutankhamen. But he didn't and Tut dreamed on for 3000 years.

I think Tutankhamun's tomb was spared because of ay's deception. ay had anticipated the catastrophe that would happen in the future. If a man is destined to sacrifice, let him sacrifice himself. Therefore, he put himself in the tomb that may have been prepared for Tutankhamun.

Neither was Horemheb's one. It would be ironic if in the end both had been relocated to the same place by later pharaohs.

This is supposed to be Akhenaton's tomb not for Ay. Maybe he was a traitor to Akhenaton the Horemheb took revenge on him & chopped his head & scaterred his remains

      Ay raped and killed tut
      For power
      Tut was a woman
Ay wanted to marry with Tut for power
      Tut didn't want him
And then they also killed that guy who is burried as Tut
Who was just some low IQ incest product in the castle - he was mentally and physically sick but not evil guy. Other actually evil guys hated him and wanted to kill long time ago.
