The FBI agent in the second case may have went a little rogue but I'm glad the FBI is investing resources in investigating dirty police departments. The way those cops handled things is an indication why they're being investigated.
@@tylersowa3858 Absolutely? He was investigating corruption in their department, and they proved to be corrupt. What world do you think you are you living in? Officers just like that would be extorting you, and your family if it wasn't for agents like him.

the fact that federal agents and cops have absolutely zero communication to the point that these things happen says a lot about how dysfunctional this system is.
Local cops would be looser than a whore with intel, it's easier to corrupt local cops versus federal agents, lack of communication is a feature not a dysfunction
They coordinate when necessary, sometimes they're undercover or investigating something that the local police could have conflicting interests to allow.
This tactic where people in authority keep hammering away repeating "Why are you being angry or aggressive" when in fact the person in question is being perfectly calm really makes me feel angry. Its as if they are baiting you. This has happened to me a few times and has worked and made me feel anger towards them. It is a lowly tactic usually born out of themselves having anger issues or self esteem issues. These kind of videos have taught me to record, record, record.
And I bet he didn’t lose his job even though he was driving drunk . This show rationalize what the FBI did as if could’ve asked for a patrol car to pick them or taken Uber / taxi to meet the detectives.
also not showing the badge the first time then later insulting the deputy for not seeing it...i think i have a suspicion who really should be internally investigated...not that cop
Heard a story from a guy who got into an accident with an undercover cop. Whole thing was very weird and sketchy because the police could not be called to assist in the situation and the state had to be notified and dealt with to confirm that the guy was, in fact, a cop. The police did pay for everything though and did not investigate who was at fault.
The ATF guy was totally in the wrong for not complying with instructions. Also, if he has a “medical condition” that prevents him from lying on the ground then he should be medically disqualified from field duty.
I don't see enough of this, he was acting stupid and should have known better. Sure the cops did nothing to deescalate but that's pretty much standard at this point
@@coolguy0632Laying on the ground is a simple as it gets. The only reason one would not comply in that case is if they did actively want to resist or engage with the police
If he's fit and healthy enough to face the risks of confiscating firearms from people known to be in possession of them, surely he's fit and healthy enough to lay on the ground right?
He kept pulling away and claiming random stuff as if it mattered. “My wife if pregnant….I have a medical condition” neither are reasons to resist lawful action.
That situation with the FBI agent who was drinking the night before is unfortunate. Like, he wouldn't have been driving had he not been summoned by the police. That being said, he DID still do something wrong.
Yes. I feel very sorry for that lad. Maybe he even was asleep when called and didn't instantly recognize that he still is under influence. But at the end he should have called a taxi or Uber.
Yeah that one honestly just kinda sucks. I doubt he went out drinking with the intent to drive drunk but probably freaked out when he heard his partner was in custody and wanted to make sure he was alright. Know that feeling myself. Most drunk I've ever been just happened to be on the same night my grandmother fell and broke her hip at like 4am.
What sucks is that the local police called him in at 4 am, and they could have sent a cruiser for him! Hell, at 4 am, even driving tired can cause an accident without the alcohol. You know how many deer have almost been hood ornaments on my car because they were standing in the middle of the road just before dusk? You want me to come in when Jesus is still sleeping, send a cruiser to pick me up. That's professional courtesy in such cases. And come on, they could have put him in the drunk tank for a few hours and sent him home at noon without charging him, but he was a Fed. That's why they did it. You think they would have done that to one of their own? I doubt it!
@@sirgreedy88 He probably just woke up and didn't realize he was drunk due to the stress of the situation, it was 5 am after all, and some people don't stay up super late when they go drinking, some people fall asleep early.
The FBI agent was smart he said he needed medical attention so they would do the paperwork properly. So the video wouldn't get swept under the rug. This office was under investigation at the time
The 2nd one with special agent hatton, he was investigating corruption on the sheriffs that arrested him. A traffic ticket was wrote for a woman a few months prior and it magically disappeared. So fbi sent hatton out to work the case, he did every single thing u see here on purpose to see if he can add more things on that dept that they dont do right onto the case, he even requested ambulance to make sure he gets the body cam footage from every single officer and paramedic. And the hospital protocol. Its an amazing job by the fbi. Research this case. There was alot of jail time for every officer involved and the cheif that ran away once the dispatch officer radiod in that the guy is legit and to release him. At that moment they all knew the fbi was investigating them. Crazy good work!
I'd just learned a police trick. Always at the start, tell the suspect not to resist. Then if things 'escalate' they can always fall back on, "he was resisting..."
Yea, the best part is resisting arrest can be the only charge someone gets, which is weird because you'd think you'd have to be arrested for something to be resisting arrest
That's correct. Its why I never bought the "systemic racism" bias with george floyd et al. Police going to do asshole police things if they think it means keeping the public safe. And 90% of the time, they make the right call and put the bad guy in check. And sometimes they get it wrong, and they need to be punished for it.
There is nothing finer than a police officer who respects the letter of the law, upholds the law, enforces the law, honors the law, but does not act as if he or she is themselves above the law!

I have seen several different versions of that FBI officer who called the Deputy. This is the first time I understand exactly what the issue was with the cops.I understood that he needed medical attention, but I thought there was so much more.
There was much more. This cop thought his badge was bigger only to find out later all that copshop lawyering he thought he knew meant nothing when he is the smaller guy in the totem pole. The FBI was investigating several members of that department, he was one of them. Arresting an FBI agent after he teveals he is FBI and you ignore it has consequences. That FBI dude knew the game well, putting on a show for the body cams so he could sue for them cussing a medical emergency by locking him in the back seat in the heat of the deep south. Bumpkin cops finally found a federal trained liar that knew how to play the game.
The FBI was probing a case of corruption in the department. It was alleged that a prominent politically connected resident of the county was involved in a hit and run accident. Allegedly the woman contacted the Sheriff directly the day after the accident offering some kind of quid pro quo arrangement to make sure the hit and run didn't go on her criminal and stayed off her insurance record. I want to say it was literally something like she would donate the max individual contribution to his next sheriff's race or something pretty blatantly unethical and illegal. The deputy the FBI agent was meeting was the officer who did the accident investigation for the hit and run. Essentially all the FBI agent wanted to learn about was why deputy chose not to file charges against the responsible party for the hit and run. He wasn't in that much trouble considering all he had to say was the Sheriff told me to eat that particular part of the ticket book. As well that's why the FBI agent wanted to meet him at a remote location. Meeting with the deputy at the Sheriff's office would tip the Sheriff off to the existence of an investigation into departmental corruption.

Right? Cop movies always have them with a strong roar but in real life it sounds like a little kid yelling at their big brother to give them back their toy.
Screaming is NOT an authoritative voice. A deep, powerful voice- but VERY LOUD- is what commands respect and obedience. That doesn't require a male voice box though. When a cop is acting like they just had a dozen spiders jump on them, nobody pays any attention. Saw one video where a cop was waving his gun around like Barney Fife screaming "I'll shoot you!" and the subject just ran off. Saw a completely different one where a female officer maybe 5'6" totally took command of a situation. She used the command voice, gave clear commands, and simply said matter of factly "If you make ANY threatening movements I WILL fire my weapon." Suspects (two of them, fit young men) went face down, and did exactly what they were told.
I think if any law enforcing agent's first reaction to being arrested isn't "I'll comply and get you my credentials to show I am who I am and that I'm legit" just shows how power tripping a lot of these agents are. They don't care for the procedure, or the system, just "I'm the one in boots."

Bring just the officer back to an interrogation room at the station for five hours, poking and prodding for information on the case. Start yelling at them for doing the crime and throw in some nuggets like “your fingerprints were found on the weapon”, “the victim positively identified you”, “your cellphone was pinged at the location”… just really build it up. An ATF agent is not a "superior officer" to a local police officer, nor does he have a greater "rank" to them. Meeting with the deputy at the Sheriff's office would tip the Sheriff off to the existence of an investigation into departmental corruption.

i find funny how most cops just scream "get on the ground" like they are almost crying lol

It’s good seeing how things could’ve been handled and understanding what not to do in certain situations. Like the FBI agent that called the sheriffs phone for a meeting, I’d be suspicious too but as soon as you show that FBI paper I’d be wondering why I got the call not how.
Security forces at McChord are such clowns, bro. They'll pull you over for going 3mph over in a Z06 but they'll let the soccer mom fly by going 10 over. Literally 3mph. The car has massive brakes, better response than most cars yet 3mph was enough to earn a ticket. Three fucking miles per hour, bro. Lol. He really served and protected that day.
Security Forces…… lol AIrforce
@@Tanks_In_Space It's an Article 15 depending on the commander.
As soon as you show that FBI paper? How do you know if it's legit? As a "security forces officer" if I print on a piece of paper that you're my wife and show it to you, will you give me head if I ask you to? You have to, right, it's on the paper? Idiot.
Watching the ATF suffer is one of my true passions.
“ I was tryna give you my CREDS” lmao
Every LE officer should be the subject of an unjust arrest at least once in their life, just to let them know how it feels
You're not wrong. Maybe a workshop where you experience being racially profiled, roughed up, etc. And they have to be able to articulate all the things the officer did wrong in that situation.
Some people need to learn the hard way how to do unto others as they would like done to them.
@@lazyscholar7932I think it should be a surprise. They would have to somehow temporarily sign away their 4th amendment rights, maybe during the contract phase… but then like two years after joining, the department would pull up to their house with an arrest warrant for “attempted murder”… detain/handcuff the entire family, try to scare the cop into confessing, pepper spray the whole family.
Eventually, spill the beans that it’s all a ruse with a cake or something. If it’s a workshop, it just won’t have the same psychological effect. It’s hard to know what it feels like to be wrongly accused unless you’ve been in that boat.
"So your saying I have to go through this once and then I can do it to anyone I want?"
Virtual reality scenario simulator is a great tool not only to develop proficiency but also to evaluate cadets and seasoned officers on how they react to different ethnic groups and high pressure situations. Each state has a version of POST (Peace Officers Standards and Training). Some are better at training than others. A big problem is a LEO can pass all the background checks, all the tests and after a few years on the force go on a power trip or worse become ideologically radicalized.
@@BuckyDucky I hope you're being deliberately disingenuous, cos if not this comment reveals a worryingly low level of intelligence, assuming you're an LEO
Agent burk's case is the funniest. They told him he couldn't sue the cops because of qualified immunity!! 😂😂🤣🤣🤣
We need to see lots more of officers/FBI being arrested
More atf agents than anything else
Especially from DC, where there's zero accountability anymore.
😂😂😂hilarious that the agent is investigating corrupt cops and they fail miserably
The cop who covered his mic and said the FBI agent "stinks of alcohol" knew exactly what he was doing.
What was he doing?
I believe it's so when they go back to his bodycam, it's so they don't hear him say that he reeks of alcohol, idk why he'd do that tho
Yeah no shit
What does that even mean? The fbi agent was well over the legal limit to drive.
"How valuable it is to know the law" : Gives the power to turn a 30 seconds interaction into an hour long power struggle for no reason.

Yeah, the last guy was definitely an arrogant asshole. But you can’t really do anything legally if someone’s being an asshole to you. However, I do believe the officer had the right to ask for his ID. Isn’t that what law-enforcement is supposed to do when they come into contact with someone for legitimate reasons.?
I like these kinds of videos where the corrupt cops get caught, because I heard a phrase that is all too true-
"When I was a kid, I thought cops got away with everything. Then I grew up and realized that wasn't the case. Then I grew up again and realized that is MOST CERTAINLY the case."
The ATF agent wasn't corrupt. He was carrying out his lawful duty to pick up an illegal firearm. The suspect called the cops as a prank. They told the 911 operator that an ATF officer was at their door.

ATF agent got what he deserved. Defund the ATF.
And the fact he tried to sue because he was put in place like every other person. Lmao
The problem with the situation with the ATF guy, is that officer was giving conflicting commands with no time to comply to any of them. “Let me see your, hands”, “Show me your ID”, “Get on the ground.” Then immediately got overly physical when the guy didn’t know what command to follow. All he had to do was approach, because the guys hands were visible. Say “Don’t reach for anything, I need to get your ID, where is it?” Then he could verify he was legit and go from there. That officer escalated a situation with no thought of de-escalation.
he ignored every command regardless and verbally refused to follow an order,

Agree. The cop was completely high-strung and overreactive.

The partner in the first case, his reaction when seeing Ruben's picture, confirming that he's arrested. That was a legit "wtf?"
Every atf agent should be treated as such
My "federal credits" my "wife is pregnant" "I can't do this alone" cuhz was looking for every reason to be let off😂😂
We all hope that ATF Agent Burk learned that when LEOs are asking you to get on the ground, you get on the ground. You then have all the time in the world to talk about your ID and who you work for.
yeah but that doesnt make it okay for them to harm him the way they did. Cop is way to aggressive and deserves to get fired

because the cops did all wrong.

An FBI agent should know better than anyone to just comply with the cops and let them verify. It should be quick and painless.
😂😂 he did comply the issue is that the cops are corrupt scumbags
the FBI should know the bs that goes on in these investigations and abstain from just blind compliance imo
If you're talking about clip 3, they literally started ordering him on the ground before even giving him a chance to show ID. At that point, it's definitely not going to be painless regardless of compliance.
The only mistake he made was not having backup.
@@VestedUTuber How can they be sure he is not gonna point his gun at them once he reaches his pocket? The agent was simply incompetent. Officer safety comes first at situations like this.
@@davyjones8199
The officer was ALREADY pulling his own gun at that point. At that point, if whatever the agent pulled out of his pocket didn't look like a wallet or ID card of some sort he could have THEN issued the order.
The problem is that the officer ordered the agent to do something, then literally half a second later _took the very action he ordered the agent to do as a potential threat._
"Officer safety comes first" gets innocents killed.

You need more back story to what happened after. Many of these cops were found wrong after the arrests!
But did there need to be an arrest? All a trained officer needs to do is comply and let matters take their course. He’d have done the same in their position. Shame on him for not following orders that he himself would be forced to hand out.
2nd video: agent was found to be trying to get friends out of traffic tickets, being the reason he was there snooping on the ticketing officer in the first place.

Watching the ATF get a dose of their own medicine was poetic
An ATF agent is not a "superior officer" to a local police officer, nor does he have a greater "rank" to them. They have entirely different jurisdiction; in fact the federal agent has much narrower authority, and in the case of a call of a disturbance/nuisance at the door of a private residence, the uniformed police have the greater authority.
Further still, he was combative from the start; he should know that he is subject to lawful orders from the police.@mulonzee8773
you love to see it
@mulonzee8773no they deserve it all
@mulonzee8773 "the cops should" ...do nothing but quit and get an honest job, same with the ATF thug.
@mulonzee8773 he wasn't a superior officer he was part of a separate agency. the police had not verified his identity yet. they were correct in their handling of this situation
How does a law enforcement officer not comply? That AFT guy escalated a situation that easily could have been avoided .
this is why everyone hates the ATF they think they have authority over everyone
he tried to, he said he has his ID in his pocket pointing at it, which appearently cops took as him reaching. Cops decided to escalate with no reason. And after they had confirmed he was a federal they still decided to play idiots and arrest him. Could the agent done something differently, but if the cops werent complite morons they would have saved some money.

For #3, why does he need to get on the ground for them to check for a weapon? I've rarely been forced to the ground for that
They already know there's a federal agent there, right? All he *should* have to do is keep his hands up until they meet up with him and verify his identity. Instead they chose to try to do domination and intimidation on the guy then act shocked when he doesn't take it well.
Even when they had him on the ground, he was pinned and secure enough. They could've gone for his id, but *chose* not to, all while acting like they're saints.
I *almost* get the feeling like the person who called that guy into 911 probably had some connections in the department
America has the most people incarcerated on earth. At many departments, they train the cops to treat interactions like they are in a Hollywood movie.
My brain has written a book, a movie, a series and a whole documentary about the first case. Too many unanswered questions for my life. 😮
I actually get the cop with the ATF agent at first. He doesn't know and it's an easy lie like the narrator said. The ATF agent should've risen his hands, slowly complied while the cop had to think he could be or might not be, so let me do this respectfully but firmly. The whole situation should've been handled better. But Cop Ego on both sides escalated the issue. But the LAST one I saw before... and it was amazing. lol
I wonder if he ever went back to retrieve that gun that he was there in the 1st place. Or ask the Police Department for aid in searching for the gun. They're all there, might as well search the place. We can't forget the suspect to begin with.
As soon as they let me go, I would've went right back to that door and ask to search that house for that gun again.
the cop should have beaat up that ATF agent for violating the constitution.
and he realizes he fucked around throwing his ego and authority around and found out.
@@thedarkspirit5084 He was not there to confiscate a gun. If he was there to do that, he would have shown up with a warrant, a team of ATF agents, and support from local police, and would have entered the home regardless of the homeowner's permission. This is the policy for such confiscations. He was there to _ask_ the homeowner to relinquish his or her rights to allow him to search the home. The homeowner was justifiably unconvinced, so called the police to report an armed man pretending to be a cop asking to see his or her guns. This is a fact that this video grossly failed to inform viewers of.
It still kills me that you can just call the cops to avoid consequences. Our legal system is so f'd.
Frankly, the ATF and FBI should not be allowed to operate in a jurisdiction without notifying the police/sheriff prior....unless the police or sheriff is the target. The feds have not been granted police powers in the Constitution and should be disbanded anyway, but stepping on local authority's turf should be illegal.
So you want a world where feds can just show up unannounced and arrest, detain, confiscate whoever and whatever they want?

"thanks for giving me a break, have a nice day!"
crazy how interactions can be short
The FBI agent may have gone above the legal limit at the station. It is dependent upon when he drank. If he had drank just before the call, his blood alcohol level would still climb for an hour.
Yeah, cause stuff takes time to process. Even if that weren't the case, if they woke him from sleep to bring him down there, he easily could've been unaware he was above the legal limit and thought he was sober
Either way, he should've hit the vending machine up for food instead of chewing gum. The food helps counteract the alcohol
